I foresaw this problem way early in my hair growth journey in about a year now I'm 2 years in and it's pretty much even now into an old school afro and I can have any hairstyle without worrying about anything, and yes I stopped getting an undercut haven't visited the barber in a about year now, never regretted that decision you'll never go wrong with an afro.
I tried all styles before letting my hair grow. Went bald / Mohawk/ and etc. fell in love how high skin fade looks on me and been getting the same cut for 10+ yrs now. All preference though.
It’s crazy that I’m about to hit 2 years come September I’ve been rocking the low taper for a min and I’ve finally come to the decision to grow my sides out also most likely never finna cut my hair
Listen bro I have naturally curly hair I’m east African but the barber fucked my haircut and cut my hair really uneven and super long in the front it looks alright but I’m wondering shall I trust the process , I don’t want to cut my hair as I’ve been growing it for a long period
im in the same position basically. im probably gonna trim the longer hair to try and match it with the shorter hair. try it out and try to find a stylist that’ll help u.
Man what problem are you having bc you can have super long hair at the top and not really suffer umm just look at everyone who has it and look at yours and think about it really I’m doing long hair at the top and think it will be cool super long
Why grow the sides it’s gonna be uneven I got the same look also. Better off keeping it but if you want it to be even you mind as well cut it all off an start over growing everything in even but I don’t think you want to do that
why would he cut off everything and restart you do know afro hair takes years to grow back. especially if it's long. we don't got white people hair now. he better off letting his side's grow.
Has it ever occurred to you that you can grow out the sides and once they get a certain length, you can trim your hair so it's even all around? Thinking helps.
