I have a high top as well so I know the struggle of wanting to start over, the side locks sticking up (everytime I fall asleep with so durag) so I cant push my hair down all the way lol, the shirt ponytail stage. I’m 6 months in and my locs are to my ears but I’m waiting for them to mature like yours cause those joints are 🔥🔥. Keep going man. It’s a spiritual journey that only a locer would understand.

I used to have long straight hair before I cut it off I don’t regret it not at all it was just always in the way plus I have a bald spot in the front of my forehead which is really not to good looking because I would always put my hair in a man bun or just have it on top and I would basically put it tight to the point where it hurt and I think that’s why I have it and like I said before I 💯% regret getting a man bun word of advice if your hair is crying for help don’t mess with it try good hair products that are comfortable for you and your hair ✌️and safe travels 🚀🌌

Your locks look hard fr. But yo hairline got fuc*ed through the process. That's why I'm scared doing these types of hairstyles that will undoubtedly pull on the hairline as a result of constant pressure. It's like how braces work ,the constant pressure is what makes your teeth shift into the direction you want them to. The difference with the hairline is that it's only getting pushed tf back.
