I’m Tired of Garten of Banban… 

I genuinely laughed for a minute when I saw the fight sequence like what do the developers have with throwing the damn birds into the void

I love how someone made it better in a week with no other experience making games.

They issued a DMCA takedown on our fan game, which we worked on for around 6 months. We avidly supported the franchise, and genuinely cared about it. There is no real reason as too why they took it down. They didn't message us or tell us anything, they just took it off the internet because they didn't like it. I don't mean to dog on the Euphoric Brothers, but I feel the only reason they just took it down was because we were small. The only reason they just asked UniqueGeese to change the name was because he was popular at the time, and could expose them.

This whole "series" feels like shovelware you would find at the bottom of the dollar store bargain bin that's still sitting there after months of being on sale for less than 5$

It's incredibly sad how many excellent games that took years of developing and polishing, gets overshadowed by a series of game made in near months using AI to make it's 3d models

Man, imagine being a worker at this facility and having to do random ass puzzles and life-threatening parkours on a daily basis just to get to the bathroom during a 30 minute break.

I love the series, ironically, just wish it was also created ironically

The Devs have clearly realised that these games aren't scary at all so they are intentionally leaning into the more goofy aspects of their Games. I wouldn't even consider Garten of Banban a Horror game at this point

Despite how BanBan is the way it is, there is still one thing that still will forever be a cultural phenomenon in the game and that’s the fact that Bird Up shall never die.

I won't lie, this chapter was chaos and funny. Especially charles appearing out of absolute nowhere.

I feel like my worst problem with garten of banban is that they don't acknowledge that they are chapters, they fully fledged games, a full game, with a short time, really bad overall, and I just continue watching about it because I like to know how worse the next full game will be

The Garden Of BanBan is gonna be one of the most disliked mascot horror game

I really like the Jester's concept and the whole thing with making the queen laugh. His voice actor did a very good job, BUT. If only the devs realized the Jester and the whole chapter in a better way i wouldve really enjoyed it. But really it makes me want a different more fleshed out and longer game withh the same concept as chapter 4 but ANYTHING but Banban. Like one random person said in twitter dms: "I need a you who isnt you"

As bad as they are, and despite the fact that ill never waste money on one even if my life was on the line, it is my guilty pleasure to watch youtubers play the new chapters when they come out

I think the drone idea is quite salvageable, I just like something about the idea that there is a slow and sluggish threat after you and your only means of defense/escape is equally if not more sluggish, requiring you to plan out multiple moves ahead and make sure you have the time to execute the plan.

In my opinion: the best way you can enjoy the banban series is by standing in the sidelines and watching chaos unfold.

Its actually insane how fast they pump out these games! I feel like I see a new video on the new banban chapter every time I open up youtube.

The game just seems like one of those 4 year old audience games, it’s just like the alphabet things

It's wild how close the fake Banban stuff getting pumped out by content farms is to the quality of the actual thing they're ripping off. The cast just keeps growing, every chapter is a one-off, most are movies with extra steps and somehow _there is still no end in sight._ It's unfortunate; some of the ideas in the game and it's story sound pretty cool on paper (namely the drone and abandoned preschool setting).

What makes me cackle is that all of them are so short, they should all be one game. I agree that they know exactly what they're doing.

everyone wants to point and laugh like "Haha look how bad these mascot horror games are" but then keep feeding into it and giving them attention, which continues to make them relevant and popular. I refuse to give BanBan any attention whatsoever, because that's exactly what these people want.

The credits for each chapter get larger due to the amount of unity assets used from the store.

The fact I beat Chapter 4 in under 90 minutes with it being 9.99 still appalls me to this day. (Yes I did refund it right after stop asking.)

The best part about Banban is the abosutely apathetic and monotone voice of Banban, he could be fighting for his life and instead of screaming HELP!!!! He'd just say help. with a little urgency. And the part about how unoptimized the models were just made me burst out laughing, I saw the remote model before but I SWEAR it was not as bad as now!

Imagine having four games in the same franchise release in the same year

I am in the same boat as you. They're like the little brother of Poppy Playtime, but 10x more "tryhard-y" And I wouldn't be surprised if the devs aren't as nice as they claim. People always put on this public facade of "oh I'm such a good Samaritan" when down the line they get exposed for doing bad shit like grooming, illegal stuff, or investing in NFTs. Also I do want to spread hate towards the devs because they really aren't good and clearly dont know what theyre doing

I don’t really understand people who say the games are “dissapointing”. Like it is at a few instances so bad it’s good but for the most part it’s just bad. And to be dissapointed you have to actually have high enough expectations. Also if anyone thinks the devs are good at developing, I’m pretty sure the drone remote has more polygons than all of super Mario 64. This is a rough estimate tho

Tbh Garten of Banban has a interesting plot, trying to find your kid inside there kindergarten, it seem interesting at first…until you see that is poorly executed and they used some of the aspect of FNAF aka children inside mascots

its crazy to think that by the end of the banban series (if it ever does end) it will probably cost as much, or even more than an actual AAA or high tier indie game all together

Honestly, I didn't even know there was a third one, let alone four. I can appreciate the grind, but jesus dude. The conformation of two more games in the works goes to show that the amount of care they put into them is so minuscule, even an electron microscope would struggle to see it.

The only good thing about GoBB 4 was the actual VA work for Sheriff Toadster, Queen Bouncelia, and Bittergiggle with Bittergiggle having a brilliantly executed monologue... the only problem was the apparent lack of care from the devs to even give him proper animation during the scene so while you hear this well executed ramble from a mad and dejected jester he's just standing there motionless

I genuinely love Garten of Banban, not because of the quality of the games, they’re terrible games, but it’s so much fun to just play the game and watch the chaos unfold.

I’m glad someone actually dislikes this game. I’m tired of people un-ironically liking Garten Of Banban for the memes since they were only funny for like a day. Also I feel like there was a way to make the Drone mechanic fun, like the yellow glass mechanic was cool if only it didn’t appear ONCE.

Honestly, when it first popped up I straight up thought it was a spoof game. A parody. But after these things started being churned out like shits from a fat guy with the runs, I quickly realized the developer's true intent. Seeing the devs cry like bitches on Twitter about people refunding their game because it was too short, and then trying desperately to make each subsequent release padded out circumvent Steam's 2 hour refund rule, just makes it funnier to me. Eventually, the septic tank will fill to capacity though and people will get sick of this shit.

I feel like by the time 5 or 6 comes out, unless they do something in the game that gets the internet shaking, no one will care (at least, there’d be too few people caring about it). Mainly because with each release since 2 I’ve seen fewer people talk about it so that might mean that the game is going to fade into obscurity by 2024

I'm honestly surprised that it even made it past the 3rd game. The only way to eradicate this kinda scumminess is to just avoid it, not mention it, let it die. If it keeps getting talked about, if it keeps getting attention, it will linger on for much longer.

I think DAGames made the best point in his shitpost banaban song, the Streisand Effect is real and the undeserved relevance of BanBan is entirely its detractors fault, while the memes were kinda funny at first its gotten old fast and really only going to convince people to make lazy games and get rich for it anyways

I think that the Brothers are learning, albeit very slow, with each chapter that comes out. The puzzles were decently made, although some were a bit annoying. They hired decent people to voice act, where some kind of were forgettable. The "jokes" are kind of better now, and ngl the story has me intrigued.

Maybe he doesn't understand but all he's doing is promoting a very low effort project made by people who clearly couldn't care less about the players. The thing that scares me the most is that developers will see games like poppy and banban and be like "yo! this is how i get my game popular? Hell yeah sign me up" and make the lazyest game possible with zero effort tiking all the boxes to make an indie horror game that appeals to those "lol look at this game time to play it ironically heheheheh" and loud overreacting RU-vidrs. Soon the genre is flooded with low effort games, i mean look at video game crash of 83 that happened because of this reason abeit a little more complicated but still.

Euphoric Brothers with Garten of Banban were too late to the party, the mascot horror gold rush concluded after Poppy Playtime. But despite this, GoB got the highly coveted game theory by MatPat and a fanbase. We can only wait and see where this leads to.

I was keeping an eye on Banban out of morbid curiosity. It was funny to see from other youtubers just how bottom of the bin the series could go. I decided that when the fourth game released that I would play it on stream with some friends, hoping for a good laugh (I had never played any of the previous games). And actually PLAYING a Banban game was SO so much worse than I ever imagined. I cannot fathom how anyone actually enjoys playing them. I can't imagine the creators enjoying the game. Literally one of the most excruciating experiences of my life. Everyone needs to just. Stop giving it attention. It's not worth it. The bit is not funny anymore. Holy wow.

The thing that worries me most about the series is it's impression on it's younger audience. Us more mature viewers of this game series can appreciate how hilariously bad it is, laugh for a bit, and move on. But there's a whole generation of human beings out there that unironically love this game, think it's the best thing in the world and are drooling all over their IPads to top 10 secret garten of banban characters you won't believe are real!!! Possibly more terrifying than this, though, is the impression it leaves on the Indie Horror series. I feel the series began it's decline with Security Breach, as that's the game that really started to popularise the genre while also introducing the "It's a horror game, but it's not scary" theme we see in stuff now. Following that came Bendy, which is at least a game made with love and care, even if I'm not a fan of the series myself. But then there was poppy playtime, banban and even things like rainbow friends in roblox which I have little to no respect for. With poppy, I can at least appreciate certain aspects of it, but I can't say the same for modern stuff. I'm *almost* a game developer, I just spent 3 years studying game design in College and I have my own plans and ambitions. Originally, I wanted to get into the industry for platformers and RPGs, but recently have started blueprinting plans for my own Indie Horror game due to the recent surge in it's popularity. Not because I want to be another money hungry cash grab, but because I want to do my part in restoring some of the integrity and respect for the genre I feel has left a lot of people as a result of games like this.

I literally don’t know how these games run, when BanBan has a higher poly count than the Ink Demon from Bendy and the Ink Machine, and NabNab is a raw 3D Model Sculpt! I wonder if the same things apply to Sheriff Toadster, Queen Bouncelia, and Bittergiggle! Oh who am I kidding, I bet all of these guys have higher poly counts than Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Longlegs, and Alice Angel combined!

One thing that baffles me about these modern indie horror games like Banban and Poppys Playtime is, will there ever be a final chapter??? Will the stories they're trying to tell actually have an ending? I personally think that they're just gonna release game after game after game until they run out of ideas, and then everyone will start to question if there will ever be a last chapter to these games.

I have absolutley zero idea how and why these games took off in the way it did. It is trash. There is hardly a video game. There isnt an IDEA of a game. This game is outwardly shallow and screaming "yeah we're gaming the youtube algoritihm". But at the very least FNAF has unique gameplay, and Bendy and Poppy have some production value. But there's NOTHING here! It looks like shit, theres zero gameplay, the characters suck and you can beat these things in forty minutes! Ever since i was little I wanted to become a game dev and make a good game that my favorite youtubers would love and play.
