This has happened to me, tines ten. I found a Catholic deliverance ministry and I was delivered from mental torment after 6 years of being demonized. The demons were literally mentally abusing me. You don't need to put up with this as a Christian. God will deliver you.

This is a sign of demonization. It is also a sign that what you are doing (Rosary, frequent mass and confession) is likely going to result in your becoming holy. The devil knows this and is trying to stop you from going to heaven. So you need to continue what you are doing but pray more fervently and frequently. Say the Jesus Prayer. Buy the book, A Manual for Spiritual Warfare by Paul Thigpen. All Catholics now need to understand deliverance and demonology in order to combat the devil's destructive power over the church right now. It's a matter of grave importance. If you want more advice, please respond in the chat. I have gone through this process and want to encourage others to fight and win.

All I can say is, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I really needed this, it's something I really struggle with. They're horrible thoughts, and I just want them to stop. Thanks be to God.

Oh Boy…did you hit the bullseye with this one!!! I’ve been tormented with blasphemous thoughts for many years; in fact, there was a period of time when I couldn’t pray for several years because I thought I had committed the unpardonable sin and was cast out of God’s kingdom. It was the most horrific depressing time of my life. And no matter how many times I repented (and still do) I would get no relief and to this day those thoughts will still occasionally flood my mind and overwhelm me - especially when I am worshiping God and I just can’t read the Scripture about the unforgivable sin in the Gospels without fear gripping my heart every time! It’s so unbelievably tormenting and despicable that no one knows how badly a person suffers unless they themselves experience it. The ONLY relief I get is when I read the Scriptures that give assurance of salvation by trusting in Christ alone and in particular the promise Jesus made that He would never cast away anyone who comes to Him…that is my only source of comfort and gives peace of mind. Dad you are 100% correct about needing to hear the good news of forgiveness in Christ every day…I need to hear it every hour!!!! ❤ Thank you both for such beautiful messages of hope and getting in Christ. Love you both 😍

When we think in terms of the law, anything goes. We are bound in time and space. No escape from them. But when the promise comes, that is something else completely!

Two verses that have been very helpful for me is this, "Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways." Psalm 119:37; "I am yours; save me," Psalm 119:94. A friend of mine once said that confession and absolution is a process, not a solution, to keep receiving as Christ prepares you for life with Him. Thank you and God's blessings!

I watched all the Dad Rod videos. What about obedience and good works? You make it sound non existent.

@ Echo Mountain You’ll hear us mention it throughout our content, and the point is this: we sinners are tempted to think our works help get us into heaven or maintain our salvation. We Lutherans hold that this is not Scriptural. Since the law demands that we be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect (Matt 5:48), our works will never be enough. It’s Christ’s perfect works credited to us that save, similarly with Abraham (Gal 5:6). But it is our neighbor who needs our (imperfect) works. It was for freedom that Christ set us free (Gal 5:1), and in true freedom, sinners produce better works more abundantly for their neighbor than when they are under fear and tyranny of the law. So we focus on Christ and His forgiveness at all times, knowing that His salvation produces good works out of us sinners for the help of our neighbor, and knowing that we are safe with Him and need not fear death and will joyfully seek His embrace at the end.
