Absolutely blown away by how beautiful it looks, finally a game similar to minecraft that dosent require shaders to look exceptional. Also really love how customizable building can become with the voxels.

Okay you are like 416% underrated. I thought at the beginning the breaks in the water were loading errors, but are those waves?? If not waves, they could be. Please don't feel rushed by our enthusiasm, this could take a decade to finish and it'd be worth it.

Its due to Saving Performance/reducing loading time. The Further Objects/Voxels are away from the Player, the less Detail the Objects/Voxels will have.

looks really good! i dont think there are that many lush trees in the desert though, i would assume they would be way more spread out but ignoring that it looks perfect!

May be procedural, I highly doubt they took the time to shape and place all those features. But I'm pretty sure those are oceanic waves, not glitches.

LoD is always hard to do the transitions. This is progressing so far tho.

It doesn't need to be judged with minecraft. Voxel games are a technological marvel of recent years (okay, more like decades) of which minecraft was the first popular iteration. It wasn't even the first! There was another one. The RU-vid channel People Make Games has a good video on it.

@@HeinzAnimation oh nice! i would have expected unity with how common it is, but i guess unreal 5 has brought more attention to the engine. iv been learning unreal since September last year for a personal project, but it would be cool to learn how to do 3d procedural stuff (ie, cave gen, not just a height map), weather it be voxel or mesh based.
