Rosecraft is crushing it!!! I have 7 of their traditional style knives and every single one of them are almost flawless. Yes, Rosecrafts are made in China but it s an American company. Buying from them still helps American employees and American families.
I got the bug too! Haven’t had any since I was a kid! Very cool! My son and daughter are collecting with me. You got me back into them! Keep up the amazing work Dood!
Sweet collection and nice job on the slips. I have got in to slip joints last few months myself. Brings back the younger passion I had. I havent been on in a while but followed tou from beginning and went through some health struggles due to my wild past but I am now back in to it and wanted to pop back in. I just showed a couple of Case that actually is a 1 of 100 pieces. Me and 5 other channels met up at SMKW. Have a good one brother
Very nice slipjoint collection. I am waiting for the Rosecraft Clinch River Sway back to come back intp stock. The only slipjoint I have now is the Kansept Bevy. I also am getting tired of the folding knives. That is why I am going to get a slipjoint. Can't wsit for your home built Slipjoint videos! Stay Safe and Sharp DOOD!
Great collection man. Ever since you uploaded the rust eraser vid, I decided to start looking into traditional slip joints. Got a couple knives coming in the next couple of days now, really excited.
@@doodysdaggers Got a Bear & Sons Barlow, Rough Ryder trapper in carbon steel and 2 Sodbuster Jrs one in CV and another in CS. From research I did I think CS and CV are very similar, but it looks like Case might be discounting their CV due to shortages? Don’t know if that’s 100% true or not
I have a few copperlocks but copperhead is my favorite pattern. I have 6 of the wharnclife which i love. i am the same I had rather have the half stop but its not a deal breaker. Ohio rviver jack with wharnclife is one of my favorites.
👍🏼good vid. I think my first was an old Lone Ranger slipjoint from Grandpa. Still have it. I have a Camillus pruning knife also was grandpa’s. Same scales and brass looking lock as that old timer. I’m trying to not buy stuff for awhile but looking into what you recommend. Thanks.
Man I was worried you had sold the vanish. That thing is awesome. That and the OHJ would be My top two then the Rosecraft. The Gec knives are great too. You have a nice collection of slip joints there. Cool video.
Very nice man. Quickly expanding and growing. I love it. I am excited to get the 2 slips. Ur leather is getting better and better. Very cool knives and great slips ur doin for them also.
My hedhog is my fav mod slipjoint. 2nd is my lionsteel best man jack in m390 and ti bolsters with CF handles. Got it on sale like 80bucks and it's a banger.
On the little rattler knock the kick down a itty-bitty little bit at a time until the tip drops down in the bladewell, you have to be careful making sure not to end up with bladewrap
I think the notch you cut in the handle to aid opening makes the knife look better. Nice job. For me, I carry a modern folder and a small SAK, usually the Cadet.
Do you know anyone who makes slips or pouches with pocket clips on them? Really nice collection! I wish Case would make a slip joint Russlock! And I’m shocked there was no SAKs!
Thanks for your answer. I live in Switzerland and i didn't find it on USA websites i used to order. I finally got one on a german website. You seem to like wharncliff blades, i bought a civivi elementum wharncliff and i put flytanium titanium stonewhased scales on it ! Look great ! Thanks for your work !
I'd like to get a slip joint but I would like an American made one with thin blade stock, a full height hollow grind like Jack wolf does, and a good well heat treated tool steel like rex45 or 10v, etc. Anyone know of anything like that?
Have you thought about putting your leatherwork up on something like Etsy. Seems like you have a talent and interest in leather working and maybe you can supplement the knife addiction with a few leather slip sales?
Good idea! I looked into Etsy a while back for some of my blacksmithing items. They do take a percentage of your sales, but it could be a good option if I end up getting a lot of interest in the leatherworking. I’m all for supplementing my income 😁
@@doodysdaggers even if they did take percentages it would, in my opinion, be a great way to expose more people to your channel. And you already have the perfect name “Doodys Leathers” it’s right there bro!
@@doodysdaggers it’s not even like you need to make more than you want. There’s shops on there that only stock a few items at a time. I’m just seeing all these sweet slips and I’m sure there’s others that would like one of these and to support you and enjoy what seems to be a talented hobby you’ve found is what it’s all about! It’s niche too. Next thing you know you’re at 2025 knife show with Doodys Daggers and Leathers shop. I might be a bit ripped on edibles, but I can see it.
