Recently 2013 Taurus lost power steering which is electric also had service advacetrac light service traction control and service power steering it went to the garage dignaosed bad rack and pinion but I removed the PCM and when I put it back in all warnings are gone power steering is back but very loud I also started having bad gas mileage before this i dont want to believe the rack and pinion need replacing and the steering column it is a very loud grinding noise but turns like it used to if not easier i know it needs a inner tie rod but snce it had other symptoms and then the day after the battery was dead do u think its the rack amd pinon or what your opinion same year same model as the recall but vin isnt recalled what do u think I have tried everything and would really appreciate your opinion

There should only be one operator of a car, the human. My dad's 7 series brakes automatically everytime he backs out of his slanted driveway. It sees the ground and thinks its going to be in an accident.... with the ground. If you are too inept to drive a car without assistance, turn in your license and get the F off the road

They can switch off a lot of gas vehicles at the switch of a button. Just think of On Star which can disable a vehicle if it is reported stolen. Electric cars will be worse. One won't be able to travel very far when the power grid is a fraction of what it is because of the "climate". I do agree that this all about control.

Right! Control! Keep driving your old car, and keep fixing your old car. If there is demand for old parts, someone will be selling old parts. I had a 94 Accord up until a few years ago (when it got totalled) and parts were SUPER easy to find and cheap. Why? There are TONS of them out there, STILL. Control Control Control, government and corporations want to control your lives, you got to start standing up to this crap or end up living in a dystopian North Korean type government.

One day i was driving to work on a snowy and icy day. Followed the same car for 40mins. My 2020 Sportage decided to brake down a hill cz the sensor got covered in snow. It locked me up and slid right into that lady.

Easy fix for auto braking: disconnect an ABS sensor. FWIW: Honda currently has CMBS which works well.

I have a V6 Challenger and had considered adding a supercharger. I decided not to for now, but after all the research I did on those two choices, the Procharger looked to be the better choice for several reasons.

Back in the day. Store's were closed on Sunday in the UK. This reduced traffic by 80%. Romania studied closing stores at the weekends. For family together days. I think it isnt a bad idea frankly, for soooooo many reasons.

I like this feature in my 3 modern cars. Yes technology has issues and false positive alerts are a problem, but in my estimation they are a smaller percentage of system activations than the lives it has saved.

I have a 2021 Honda Accord Sport 2.0 and it has automatic braking. Twice when I was driving fully in control of what I was doing it applied the brakes and wouldn't let them off.

I caught my 2023 4Runner Sr5 before it fully slammed on the brakes @ Pennsylvania turnpike speed. On a cornered hill a head on tractor trailer on the other side of the jersey wall kicked the brakes in. I was driving with the possibility in mind that it may happen or I’d have been toast in the passing lane.

I used to commute 120 miles a day on SF Bay Area freeways. I would typically see about 1 Tesla driver per week that was doing something other than paying attention to the road. They were looking down and likely texting when they should have been paying attention to driving. This is the problem with having amateur drivers beta testing Tesla's software. There are now over 400,000 of these amateur drivers on US highways beta testing Tesla's buggy and flawed technology. Musk promised Tesla technology would reach level 5 autonomy by the end of 2016. Here it is 2024 and it still has not evolved beyond level 2. Now Musk wants to use this technology on a line of Robo-taxis? The US government shouldn't allow Tesla to do this until FSD and Autopilot are certified safe by an independent organization or agency.

Scotty I got a question my check engine comes on after 20 minutes of drive or when I hop on the high way but if I turn off my car and turn it back on it goes away or sometimes it goes away while I’m driving but it’s never on first 15 minutes some times it doesn’t come on at all

@@roccovelasco7159 there’s millions of those trucks out there. I’ve had my CDL since 2013. I mostly drove local in NYC. The only reason found out about the feature was it did what was intended to do, dumb pedestrian ran infront. It went off twice and stopped a loaded semi. I doubt cars will have a problem. I imagine the technology will even improve.

Because of this, it's no wonder that the company drags its feet in installing new charger locations and does a poor job in maintaining their existing ones. Not exactly a profit center for Electrify America and certainly red-headed step-child for Volkswagen. JJS

Scotty, I generally don't make any comments. You got 2 billion people whom have a remote chance, and get a response. HERE'S MY COMMENT ABOUT "AUTOMATIC BRAKING" IT'S TOTAL CRAP! The ABS is fine. Watch when auto-braking, and the electronic system fails. How many people are going to get extremely hurt or end up dead???

The Tesla cars have that stupid automatic braking feature and I hate driving behind any tesla because of the constant braking and the flashing of the brake light all the time. I was once in a Penske Rental truck and the truck is an International 2023 model and I was driving on the freeway and out of nowhere, the truck slams on brakes from 65 MPH to 20 MPH and I almost caused an accident due to the truck deciding to want to automatically brake, and I mean this was a hard braking on its own. I tried turning it off and, on the dash, it told me I don't have authorization to turn off the feature. I took the truck back to Penske and got a Freightliner instead, much better. Penske asked me what was wrong with the brand-new truck, I told them I hate it sucks, and it almost got me into an accident twice with the auto-braking enabled, I hate that truck. they said Ok, others said the same thing too, I said yeah, turn off that feature and it will be all well, she told me that it cannot be turned off due to company policy and it will remain on for life of the truck. Well, I will not be driving those trucks anytime soon. Those truck will get people killed and the company will have to pay out so many claims to the point that they will have to turn that junk off. I also work for Penske; I drive the larger trucks OTR from Roseburg Ore to California BayArea and south to San Diego and into Mexico.
