There are countless reptiles that sit in their enclosures without proper care and don’t get any help when they can’t shed properly. This one looks great and is obviously well cared for.
And those pet owners aren't profiting off of taking tweezers and ripping skin off of lizards for multiple sheds, he has been caught multiple times Force shedding his lizards throughout the weeks to get more videos, as well as the ways he does it is harmful and classified as animal cruelty which violates RU-vid's code of conduct, lizards don't shed every week get the same lizards are used in multiple videos each day, as well as there's not a veterinarian or an lizard expert on the planet that would agree the way he does multiple sheddings or users tweezers is it considered animal cruelty and more than just harmful to the lizard, as for this video yes he's using proper procedure with rolling the skin that doesn't change the fact that he just posted that doesn't change the fact that the vast majority of his videos he isn't doing it properly and he is profiting off of it, if this was the people that glue barnacles to the backs of turtles you would have a problem with it but the fact is you can't see the damage with your naked eye so you believe it is okay, improper shedding is due to improper care that simple animals in the wild do not have this problem for a reason whether it is his lighting is housing their environment their diet it doesn't matter this is 100% a man profiting off of the miscare of animals that is refused to take advice from multiple veterinarians that are verifiable, and decides to call them shed Nazis for having an education.
@@andrewvice4065 Looks like he has a lot of reptiles to me. It would be impossible to force shed on a lizard multiple times per day without causing bleeding. I don’t see blood. And your reply was one sentence…. Eeeeessh.
The help should come before they shed with proper humidity tho… but this looks like another enclosure where the animal is forced to live on hard surfaces its whole life and get arthritis. Sucks to see.
Speak for yourself, don’t bash the industry and keepers and act like you one of the only few that do things right. I learned from professionals and everyone up here is doing things pro level. I keep large constrictors but even people who keep geckos are going above and beyond these days for their animals and keeping standards. Check yourself.
First time I did this with mine he was a tad freaked out He now leans right into the itching and plucking. He def digs getting that outta his nostril. As any breathing thing does.
This is so fascinating! I knew that they shed, but I didn't know about the nasal plug! I agree, I'm certain that he is breathing so much more freely. Thanks for sharing this.
That’s just how bearded dragons are. Literally all bearded dragons are docile because none are from the wild, every single beardie is captive bred for the past 50-60 years.
@@Rackus82being well taken care of 😉 If you’re going to correct anothers word choices at least structure your ‘correction’ to be grammatically accurate.
Just imagine how aggravating it would be to have something stuck up your nose, or a bunch of sleep caught on your eye. This man that takes care of these beautiful babies is a hero for sure ♥️
There is absolutely nothing wrong with helping your babies shed the hard stuff! It’s very easy to see that this cutie trusts you very much and is most likely very appreciative of the help!
I don't know who the shed Nazis are but I think you're doing a great job and a wonderful service for your animal you love it and it deserves good care so I thank you very much for taking care of your little pet
There's a huge difference in what you're stating, he's not being called out for assisting them properly he's being called out for assisting them with tweezers and ripping the skin off of them, he's also being called out for for shedding his lizards multiple times a week to profit from the videos on RU-vid, there is not a lizard expert nor a real veterinarian in the world that would agree with this guy's take, this is 100% animal abuse in animal cruelty and violates RU-vid's code of conduct he put these videos out and now he's mad because a bunch of veterinarians that were verifiable called him out for doing harm.
Gorgeous dragon! I thought it was common knowledge that, as the human, you are responsible to look closely at the reptiles in your care and their discarded skin after each shed, and then take the correct steps if they have not completely shed.
I CAN NOT GET OVER HOW ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE THE COLORS ARE ON THIS INSANELY GORGEOUS MAGNIFICENT BABY!!!!❤❤❤❤❤ MY JAW LITERALLY DROPPED THE SECOND I SAW THIS!! YOURE SOOOO LUCKY TO HAVE THIS BABY!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you for the incredible care you give him!
Wow , I never knew you had to help them with their shedding. You’re a good owner for taking care of him like that. It shows your dedication to your pet. GJ👍🏼😊
I reckon that bearded dragons appreciate the help in ways they can not express. Money factor aside, helping these beautiful creatures with obviously loose sheds is a service to THEM, too!
Seems like the time spent doing this extra effort is also a wonderful bonding experience for both of you. your reptiles are safer and love is shared. Win/win
You look like your doing exactly what he needs you to do, helping get the dead skin off is a huge relief to them and helps them get through the process faster, good for you for helping out❤️👍☺️
@@theotheseaeagle The morph also comes with a litany of possible health problems both skin related like stuck shed sunburns under normal amounts of light and heat and not for instance some developmental issues like crooked spines and other deformities. Bred properly they can turn out fine but many will try to sell you ones that are of a less than reputable linage. So if you or anyone you know is looking at getting one, do your research and be prepared to possibly take care of a dragon with some special needs.
@@Lodestone8looks like the line needs more outcrossing to make them hardier and more robust. It doesn’t help that the gene pool for bearded dragons is very shallow, this is because there are no wild imports to deepen the gene pool.
He is a beautiful color! Ya some people don't realize the length of the back foot claws & the unintentional damage these babes can do to themselves. You know best, so keep doing what you gotta do.❤
The fucking relief of this family member he is going through makes me happy. Your awesome for helping this little guy. Beautiful colors. He is enjoying the relief that the sheds causes. Their eyes they cant see to good when going through this morp and the nose blockage the relief he is feeling to breath 💯. Thank you being a good being to this here fella ❤.
As a new bearded dragon owner! Mine is a citrus, and yours is what fantasy dreams describe :D beautiful! I was told this skin removal is uncomfortable for them. Yours, on the other hand, is showing signs of comfort and trust. :) so good job!
Dude that bearded dragon literally looks like a dragon, it’s absolutely beautiful the colors on him (or her) are just extravagant and how calm it is it must trust you so much, keep up the incredible work dude ❤
Sometimes reptiles need help with shedding because they always can't rid of the skin and can cause serve damage to their self when trying to get it off and because of that it requires lots of medical care to fix it and it is not cheap! So this little lizard is lucky it has a owner who cares the way he does about its well being that is a true pet owner! That is a BEAUTIFUL colored Bearded Dragon ❤❤❤❤ I think they are SO CUTE!
That must have felt SO much better! Yeah when it doesn't come off properly then this is in the best interest of the animal. You are a good reptile dad.
It takes a lot of patience n yes use gloves it does help for both dragon n self. We love our precious bearded dragon. Thank you for saying this hun!!! 🦎
There’s nothing wrong with touching the bearded dragon with no gloves on. It does not hurt them nor you, especially if you wash your hands right after.
For anyone wondering, that Red-Black Bearded Dragon is a morph known as a Red Monster. Morphs in short terms are just different variations of the creature. Red Monster morphs are actually the most expensive type of Bearded Dragons, typically costing over a range of $1,000 - $3,000 depending on the quality, age, as well as if the Red Monster has other types of morph variants within their blood. Hope this helps!
I cant stand people terrified of removing shed because they are too dumb to know what and what cannot come off. I get in trouble all the time. Just because u don’t know what ur doing doesn’t mean i don’t. A lizard constantly scratching at its eye to remove stuck shed can be pretty dangerous itself. It does take great care and understanding of anatomy, biology, and physics, In an obscure and abstract fashion. Just because i dont wear a lab coat and have Dr before my last name doesn’t make me less qualified for certain things that a dr would typically do. W.e my head hurts
I felt relieved for him when he pulled that out and removed the layers over his eyes. Imagine this happening to you and there's nothing you can do about it. I'm so happy to see he's helping. There is NOTHING wrong with assisting any animal who's struggling
I used to have a pet iguana. His back spines needed manual intervention in shedding on a routine basis. He was beautiful and had amazing spines his whole life. There's nothing wrong with helping the process so long as the shed really is ready to come off. Good on you for caring for the animal.
Good to see you taking the proper care of your gorgeous dragon! 😍😍❤ So many people think that removing the shed is wrong, when in reality it's wrong not to remove it when your animal clearly needs some help!
like, of course its better to allow your pet to shed as much as they naturally can- but hes obviously being EXTREMELY gentle, rolling rather than pulling, and is only doing it at the very end of the general shed period when most of the skin has been naturally shed!
Aw! I like to gently rub the face shed off too. I think you can definitely overdo it, but if you're not peeling and just giving little rubs, I think it makes my dragon more comfortable during his shed
Hey man i think you are doing an amzing job. His beard is not puffed out and black and his mouth is closed so he obviously is happy to allow you to help him. I can also notice how gentle youre being and i wish owners had this level of care.
This dragon coloration is just flawless I never seen this color before...and n my book he does a great job wit these animals n he seems 2 hve been doing this for awhile.👍💯
Likely a full monster, half monsters are a bit lighter in coloration. This one has deeper red tones. I have a half monster dunner and its not as deep as this one. Fun fact: ‘currently’ you cannot find a “cheap” monster dragon like this. Expect $1500-$6000 ready if you want to buy one. And also they arent bought anywhere, (chain pet stores for example) only from breeders from the dragon hobby :)
