Anytime I've called 911 to report a reckless/aggressive driver I'm told either "we don' have anyone available" or "we'll lookout for them". They act like they could care less. I don' even bother any more.
@@ignignoktthemooninite3679 LOL! Poor baby triggered? I'd call on you too. I'll bet you are one of the brain dead idiots who does stupid $hit on the roads because you think you are somebody. Go eff yourself! LOL
Your just now noticing.Ive seen it for years. If the speed limit is 50 that means 65,70 means 85 etc.Tailgating,no blinkers, weaving in and out of traffic,on the phone.Everyones in a hurry.
Games like GTA and others have to partially accept the blame, people like to emulate what they see in virtual reality and think because they saw it on their computer it must be possible in real life, only it's not always possible and it too often costs lives
There used to be...quite some time ago....a much stronger police presence on the roads. Patrolling, speed traps...that just isn't there anymore. The police are available..you can see them parked around construction sites with their hoods open..parked for hours at a time...but they don't do anything..they might as well be cardboard. If you see a police car, you slow down...because you used to be pulled over for doing something wrong..speeding, driving over the lines...they don't care anymore. I don't know if they're just apathetic, or they just want to take down big criminals...but that's what's wrong with Ct. highways.
Dude, people have been having those issues since long before the Internet. Driving in traffic races one’s blood pressure and makes one more reactive. It’s counterintuitive and you would think it should be the opposite, but it’s not.
Why no mention here or elsewhere of the actual drivers involved? In the now six news pieces that I have watched on this event, there has been no mention at all of the condition of the drivers involved. Did they live? Did they die? Who were they? Are they in custody? And why no mention of them, specifically?
I can see how a car could have caused this accident. At 5:30 AM in the morning, I-95 is an open highway. Drivers treat I-95 and the Merritt Parkway like a racetrack. I hope the driver is charged and made to foot the bill.
Good time to move from Connecticut to a small town. Does anyone remember the girl (college age) that cut across 3 lines in Bridgeport in front of another gas truck causing a huge fire & that was shut down for months for repair. Hey NBC, do a follow up on her. She got off scout free.
I drive a big rig on NY, MA and CT roads and highways every week and I'm cut off at least 5 times per day, car's better known as (4wheelers) to truckers driving up shoulders to get out in front, passing on the left and cutting across 2 or 3 lands to take an off ramp and every big rig out there has a good dash cam as my truck has 2 cams, one uploading to the cloud in real time so even if the truck crashes and burns to the ground the video is safe. the trucking company for the flat bed and tanks i'm sure both of video from there dash cams showing what was going on and even truckers behind all of that have videos. Now the news guy said to call the police...lol YEAH RIGHT. if I'm getting cut off 5 times per day times 5000 other trucks in the state they would need to hire 5000 more cops to deal with all the phone calls coming in.. In a nutshell it's really the car's racing around because the cops are sitting in U turns playing on there phones yes that's right I go past many cops every day and most the time they are NOT looking out the windshield at traffic. Remember cop cars create a bubble around there MARKED cop car so people behave themselves so cops need to spend more time hiding so the can arrest drivers behaving badly..
My state outlawed the cops from being "hidden" as the politicians considered it entrapment. I had an argument with a guy over the show where they would park a car with the keys in it then arrest people that climbed in and drove off. I told him it wasn't entrapment because they aren't forcing them to take the car.
@@samuelhowie4543 I've said it before, we as a country are heading at top speed to be a 3rd world country like Pakistan where the police aren't able to do there job and the people start to handle things on there own like in pakistan where everyone has a gun and every one shoots anyone who does them wrong.
15 N and 15 S both have ramps that serve as on ramps and exit ramps in one. I drive it 5 or 6 times a week. people try to get ahead of a crowd by riding the exit ramp until the last second and then fly over to the right lane .This is happening on both sides of this junction. That bridge serves exiting N bound traffic and US 1 traffic on the S side. AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN!!!
Maybe part of the problem is that you only need to get 20 out of 25 questions right on a CT driver's test. Does that make sense to anyone? Which 5 things don't you need to know to drive safely? Which lane to drive in on a multi lane road? How to make a right turn onto a multilane road? How to properly merge? How to properly exit a highway? How to properly change lanes? When to use your run signal? Half the people on the road don't actually know how to drive, they only know how to steer.
In the UAE it’s illegal for officers to pursue a speeding driver!!! Why?? Because in the minute you start driving over the speed limit you’ll get a text message telling you that you got a speeding ticket with a pictures of you inside the car with the exact time and location of the violation. Very intelligent radars installed everywhere ticket includes speeding, using your phone, seat belt, unproper line change act ….
That is a 45mph exit and you have to move 1 lane over to I95 because this lane becomes a exit only at14. im surprised there are not more accidents there......people need to be taught how to merge, especially if you don't live here or have drivin the rte7 connector before.
Police used to ticket people holding up traffic in the left lane. Get those people out of the left lane and others won't have a reason to zig zag through traffic.
To me, it would make sense that happens later in the week because people are getting more and more tired towards the end of the week and they’re probably running late to wherever they have to go so they drive like butt holes.
This is one of the reasons I quit driving after 13 years and went back to welding. Loved driving truck but the liability involved is just not worth it anymore. Especially hauling HAZMAT. Liquid oxygen in my case
Maybe we should do it some smaller first world countries do and shorten our work week to four days a week and six hours a day. Of course we’d have to raise pay, and we’d have to change public school hours to match. It would be a lot of digging around on so many issues and I doubt it could happen in 20 years let alone a lifetime, but maybe it’s something to look into for our kids and our kids kids. People who work under those conditions have reported a higher sense of satisfaction and productivity, plus there’s more work and life balance. Here in the US, if you’re not lucky enough to work from home, you’re spending God knows how long on a commute to work for a minimum of eight hours a day then spend An hour or two on the drive home. Some people have to do this Six days a week. Where the hell is their time after that to do anything for personal gratification? All you have the energy for is to eat and go to bed, never mind how are you going to connect with your children or your Partner. Never mind when are you going to clean your house or visit your parents or go to the doctor if you’re sick or have an issue that you need taken care of, where is the time? I guarantee you the road rage would change if the work to life balance improved, and was actually treating people like humans and not robots That statement is not suggesting that robots replace humans, because I know somebody will suggest that
It can hardly be called reckless driving when it resulted in a wreck. A reckless driving incident is the driving incident that doesn't result in a wreck. Problems with the English language.
No it's a problem with you not understanding 2 different words might mean different things. just because it sounds similar or might be spelled closely doesn't mean it is the same thing. Reckless has a broad range of meanings, but mainly someone who doesn't think about or care about consequences. A wreck is used to describe something that has been badly damaged or destroyed.
It was someone with a Biden Harris bumper sticker with California plates. They most likely had pink and blue hair driving a car that was paid for by the working man.
