Thanks Fred! HAHAHA, ya, I should have gone full Dukes of Hazzard off that sand dune! HAHAHA. After the fact, my main concern was more around, if I went off the dune, would my airbags have deployed at the bottom. It could have been bad! Ya, hanging with great people and sharing a meal is so awesome! Thanks for watching and for the comment! I really appreciate it!🙌🏼🙏🏼👊🏼😃

The dunes are awesome, but sand, either the coast or the inland Christmas Valley dunes, still makes me pretty cautious 😄 Just need more seat time! That Ursa Minor looks fantastic! Gotta be a better fit for your height.

I sure wish I would have taken the leap and grabbed an Ursa Minor locally. Now that I'm moving back to Southern Utah it would be amazing to have.
@TrailNewbie
@TrailNewbie 3 месяца назад
They do ship them, but that’s a little costly. After personal experience - I think the Ursa Minor is the absolute best option for a Jeep Wrangler. One of the main drivers in my view is the resale value as well. They hold their values well as compared to a regular RTT which depreciates almost completely right away. You should totally get one! My plan is: once Jeep announces the final year of the JL, I’ll buy a new Jeep at that time and transfer the UM to that Jeep and keep it for 10+ years. It’s such an incredible option. Not sponsored or anything, just a major fan! 😃

@TrailNewbie
@TrailNewbie 3 месяца назад
Thanks buddy! Ya, I was going around 25-30. IMO, it would have been a major issue. Main issue would have been possible airbag deployment which would have rendered the vehicle useless overall. It’s so crazy to look back on for me, as the drop off on camera does not look steep or tall - - the camera always does that. I was a little more calm and collected on camera than I was really feeling. I dodged a bullet with that quick stop! Thanks for watching and for the comment! I really appreciate it!🙌🏼🙏🏼👊🏼😃

I skipped forward the vid to have a closer look at the Ursa. I thought it was more Ali-Cab style - where it creates an inside living space. It does not so Hard pass for me. BTW- as I skipped to the end I got a glimpse of U cookin' - Son - u gonna wanna step up your knife skill game! & put your big boy pants on and get a real Knife. (not one designed in the 70s'-:)

AHAHAH, ya, I know, the funny thing is - in the video when you see me cutting the corn 🌽 it’s going horrible…. I borrowed an awesome knife from Rafael and cut the rest of the corn off camera. Awesome adventure. We love southern Oregon beach vacations. Is there a good place to watch for used Ursa Minors? Where did you get yours?

@TrailNewbie 3 месяца назад
Great question! I got mine from a gentleman named Ben from Central CA where I live. He made a post on one of the Ursa Minor facebook groups. I’d watch there 100% as the best place to find used ones. May I ask where you purchased the license plate trail flag holder? I looked online and I can only find the ones for the support bracket. Thanks :) Great videos! Glad I discovered them!
@TrailNewbie
@TrailNewbie 2 месяца назад
Great question - with a not so great answer from me. It’s actually part of the Warn Elite rear bumper. It’s the housing that covers the small light that illuminates the license plate for night driving. It just happens to be steel, so it’s strong, and it just happened to have a little notch in it to be able to slide that flag right into it and tighten. I just got lucky - sorry I can’t point you in the right direction. Unless you want to buy a whole new Warn Elite bumper! Thanks for watching and for the comment! I really appreciate it!🙌🏼🙏🏼👊🏼😃

What the heck is an "URSA MINOR"?? Looks like a JEEP WRANGLER too me??
@TrailNewbie
@TrailNewbie 23 дня назад
Great question! An Ursa Minor is the camper top on my Jeep. It’s made by a small company in San Diego CA, that completely replaces the hard top on a Jeep with one that has an integrated roof top tent. You enter the tent from inside the Jeep, are able to stand up in there, etc. It’s awesome! Thanks for watching and for the comment! I really appreciate it!🙌🏼🙏🏼👊🏼😃
