i will never be normal ever again after the events that occured on the Disney Channel at 9pm EST on October 15. i whipped this out in Raw Grief and didnt nitpick i just DREW until the tears dried up

I just realised when Hunter says "Is everyone else okay?" is a hint that he already knew that Flapjack passed away before anyone needing to tell him. His best friend, his first friend was hurt and it was his first friend that sacrificed their own life for him. When he woke up he wanted to make sure the rest of his friends, his family was ok.

Flapjack couldn't save Caleb no matter how hard he tried. But he could save Hunter. That little bird was Hunter's first friend, and he was able to protect him until he had other friends.

Hunter might be a grimewalker, but he’s still Celeb’s offspring. In a way, the last remanent of Evelyn was willingly given away to save his his life. Flapjack knew how much she loved Celeb, I’m sure he also loved him quite a bit as well. His sacrifice was for the two of them as well as Hunter. Hunter might not have any Clawthorne in him, but he’s absolutely a member of that family. He is the “son” of Celeb, and I really hope he comes to see himself as such by the end of the series. He is a Grimewalker but that doesn’t mean he can’t have a loving relationship to both his found family and blood family. It’s just… Hunter just had Belos, then he had nobody, and now he has two sisters and a mom. It would be nice for Hunter to find out that he had a whole second family ready to accept him with open wings.

In the end Flapjack got what he wanted, he got to save Hunter and watch him get away from suffering the same fate as Caleb and the other grimwalkers. And by the time he was gone he left Hunter with friends and a new found family to take care of him. I swear if we see a dream sequence or a trip into Hunter’s mindscape and it’s anything like this it’ll be so hard to watch, it be a mix of so sad and so weirdly comforting. Really stellar animation, made me feel even sadder for Hunter. I hope he gets to really find closure and lasting happiness in the next two episodes.

Amazing! I love how Hunter looked down at his hands remembering how they were used to hurt Flapjack, but Flapjack didn’t want him to feel guilty and showed him all the wonderful memories they shared. Then he becomes more substantial as he becomes a part of Hunter as he gives him his life. You are so talented and I love all the animatics you make. You really spoil this fandom, thanks!

This is so beautiful. Really well put together. It’s so bittersweet and so calming as well. Flapjack gave Hunter life, both metaphorically and physically. Flapjack allowed Hunter to escape Belos’ manipulation, and he allowed him to open up to the outside world. Without Flapjack, Hunter would still be the Golden Guard. He did so much for Hunter, and now Hunter can return the favor by living for his first friend. In other words, Flapjack was the light in Hunter’s dark, suffocating life, as conveyed beautifully in this animation.

Wow this is stunning work!! Good God the simple coloration is SO EFFECTIVE I'm in awe (and obviously tears). The LIGHTING!!!! The golden light with Hunter's face mostly in shadow, Hunter being fully in silhouette as Flapjack is flying around with the golden memories..... hh. So gentle to both of them while also so raw and painful. Thanks for sharing, Riley

I honestly had this in my head as well Hunter sinking in darkness then Flapjack coming in help showing that inside hunter could see how much little guy care point he risk his life and fact Hunter could hug his first ever friend was so heart warming that's why when he side I know you truly now see this what hunter would meant he got see his friend one final time in heart warming and more meaningful message yes hurts to watch this and remember that are little Flapjack no longer here but remember he part Hunter soul now and bound between to will never be broken so thank you for making this video and giving viewers more what could possibly had be in the show I honestly rather would saw this then what we saw show amazing animation

Weirdly enough, this made me cry the first time watching it. Compared to Thanks To Them, where I was more in TOTAL shock by Flapjack's death than actually sad emotion. This is WAY more impactful than the actual canon, and no one can tell me otherwise. Hey, I'm just speaking facts here. Every time I rewatch this video, I get legit sadness. To a point where i almost cry again. FR though, you did an AMAZING job with this one Riley! Keep up the good work! (when you realize that a fan animation for a fandom you made was 10 times better than what actually happened: O.O)
