Congratulations young man. You are absolutely correct and I tell all veterans: If you have been rated 100% permanent and total DO NOT file another claim. You’ll open yourself up to reduction.

Congrats, it boogles my mind how majority of vets don't receive any disability pay. 100% disability=free health care, free dental, $3K a month, access to any base, it's worth fighting for and shouldn't be taken for granted by anybody still in service.

Ya I served for 28 years and retired in Colorado Springs which is military town USA and couldn't believe how many young vets in perfect health were at the gym during a work day so I asked and every time was told hey its easy every vet should do it to get free medical, over 2k a month for the rest of your life and much more if you have kids, discounts on property taxes, free college and much more. They said just claim PTSD and sleep apnea and they knew vet reps who would help fill out the paperwork I said I served this country not to be dishonorable and fuck it over for free shit just because I can. Call me an old school American vet.

I had more than enough evidence which included several Mental Health hospitalizations during Active Duty and after discharge. It was finally done in November of 2017.

Great work brother, just got my 100! After spending 20 years as an Engineer in the Marine Corps I wouldn’t settle for anything less, it’s heartbreaking hearing stories of all the warriors out there that have to fight for what they deserve because these non-voted bureaucrats in the VA make life difficult for the men and women who gave up their everything for this country! I have been seeing VA doctor's for aniexty and depression as well as raging tinnitus, they ordered me some hearing aid type devices to mask noise, just saw my civilian neurologist for nerve pain in my neck and migraine headaches through the VA , I hired a lawyer but I am doing most of the work. I want to replace him...I need someone to review my medical records. 1 should I get a copy of my records from seen visits by VA and should I go ahead and file for rate increase or TDIU. Life has been so much better getting compensation. When I first got out I didn’t claim shit. I been deployed three times in 9years. @@williamskogo3688 That's not how it worked for me, but I certainly wish it would have! 😆 I was 30% and I filed for an increase after being at 30% for almost 8 years. After I filed for an increase it took about 8-9 months to get a letter stating that I got approved for the increase and I was paid for the 8-9 months that it took the VA to process my claim (back-pay). They can only pay you from the time where you stated you had an issue that was from being in service. The VA has a RU-vid channel that explains a lot of different benefits and the entire process of different things, so search for "VA Sitrep" and follow that channel, as there are a lot of good info there.
