I am finally leaving California after 16 Years! Here is why:

I have lived in California since 2005 and have loved california for the most part the entire time. However now a days with the new lockdowns, increased crime and mandatory rules that prohibit you from enjoying california (indoor / outdoor dining) and now going as far as saying you are not allowed outside? This is the final straw and this is why I am leaving california, just like graham stephan, ben shapiro, joe rogan and hundreds of thousands of other californian's leaving california.
I will still keep my place open in California and will come back to visit once a month or every other month (pending the restrictions).

@@WeWakaRS how do big corporations win in California when we gave the highest tax rate and assembly bills to push it higher? Look at the companies that are leaving...and if these bills pass the ones that will be leaving. I get it that small business's are suffering during this but if the rates of infection keep going the way they are, there won't be any customers left to support these same businesses. Government bailout? Try middle class bailout.

@@ThisisJohnWilliams I'm also doing a work transfer to Florida next September. I work from home so I can live anywhere. Flying out in May for 2 weeks to research areas I might want to live. I've vacationed in the Ft. Myers/Naples several times. Nice area but a little too congested. I'm thinking either Venice or Sarasota, or perhaps inland to Ocala. What town/city are you leaning towards?

I left in 2018 and I didn't stay very long. I'm in New York City now. Its not where near what California is politically. I'll do my own business here in the summer of 2021. New York should recover by then too. There's signs of life now over here.

Dude, don’t do Camden. Developers and owners alike haven’t been able to change it from a slum, and the problem is in the corrupt city hall. I did the same thing in Philly border neighborhoods a few years back when houses were $10-20k and, while the assets appreciated, the clientele didn’t get better. Best of luck and welcome to Philly!

You are spot on with the prices in the areas you are looking at . I have a house in toms river my taxes are 1700 a year . A condo in Sussex that is 2900 a year . Pockets in south jersey the homes are dirt cheap . Taxes are very low as well .

I'm out for Texas. No state income tax, low gas taxes. New Jersey? They have higher taxes and it's more expensive than California! It's a good thing that you own your own business, but I'd consider Texas, Nevada, or maybe even Florida.

The East coast has 6 out of the 10 top wealthiest states in America. If you took those 6 states, which includes the state I live in(Virginia) and combined them altogether and put them against California, those 6 states would dwarf California in total Wealth. I think you are making a great move brotha! I personally moved from Oahu, my native hawaiian island, and went straight to Virginia without hesitation and it's been the absolute best move I have ever witnessed in my life :)

Out of the frying pan into the fire. Everyone is leaving NJ too. We get loads of new York and New Jersey here in South Carolina. Can't go anywhere without seeing a licenses plate from there. The property tax is terrible. My neighbor paid $15,000 a year here less than $2000.

Well, people are leaving NJ because property taxes are among the highest in the nation, like $24,000 per year for a home assessed at $600,000. Wishing you all the best, but retirees are getting away from high property taxes.

I'm a Realtor and been living in Commiefornia for 55 years, finally I'll be moving to Miami, FL sometime before March 2021. I'm Cuban and I'm seeing what my parents saw in Cuba back in the 50's and 60's! I was recently conversing with my mother which I'm her caregiver (she has beginning phase of dementia) and told her that this state is becoming another Cuba and we need to move out sooner than later!

We escaped Communist from Laos, country in Southeast Asia. We are very grateful to made it to America. We feel free and have opportunities to work and support our family. America is wonderful. Back over there the poor are starving and have no job opportunities. Gathering what they can from farming, foraging and then sell their goods to support themselves and family. Zero govt help for decades. No humans right etc. Truly sad.

America is wonderful and we need to keep fighting these individuals that think Socialism is the way to go. Another thing that the people suffer from in Communist countries is money. They barely make anything to even make ends meet. I heard someone in Cuba was making about $15 a month, yes FIFTEEN DOLLARS A MONTH! How in the hell does one live off of that?

I actually left Pasadena to Irvine because of the same reason. I didn't dare bring my kid out at night and he just needed to go out and have some fun. I have a 2 to 3 years plan to establish my real estate business before we are moving to Texas.

I've lived in new jersey for 32 years. it was great for the first 20-25. living in new jersey is like being the third cousin in a great family. everything is going on around you (NYC/Philadelphia) and no one really cares about you however you have close access to everything. the state itself is affluent, safe and dull.

Our property taxes in Pennsylvania are way cheaper than New Jersey, unless you choose Delaware County Pennsylvania.....it’s almost as bad as Jersey. Best wishes!🌿

Good luck. Not a personal fan of NJ due to the underfunded pensions/property taxes, but that may resolve itself. Focus, logic, and a chance is all one needs. You have first two, I hope NJ gives you a chance.

I would love to hear your take on how we can be more sovereign and independent in regards to giving all our power to government because I feel like we are in this mess because we allow and had so much reliance financially/health wise invested in government, big tech and big pharma. Which is immediately ripped the rug from under our feet. I believe the lack. Of personal power and letting mainstream media think out thoughts really fucked us. There is hope though and we can do things differently this time if we stop supporting these companies that make money off our fear. Thank you for your advice and energy. Love this channel

If you were smart, you'd move to Tennessee (my state) we hang income tax,low property taxes. Our sales tax is high, but if you're on the border of Kentucky (Bristol, Knoxville) you go buy there and your view, quality of life in Knoxville is spectacular. Tennessee will NEVER go blue. We'll secede first.
