I did not start backpacking until I hit 50. Anyone can do it and it’s such an awesome adventure whether is be day hikes, section hikes, thru hikes, etc. I am north of Tampa. There is a great group on Facebook called Girls Who Hike Florida. Check them out for hikes all over the state. It’s a little hot for many hikes now. I am also thinking at some point I would love to create get togethers for a group of women to join a hike together for a night, a weekend or shorter thru hikes. We will see in the future.
@@juliastimeout I am a part of that group, just never went to a hike yet. I’m 62 so alittle older but I’m determined! Definitely post about doing any hikes in the future. So looking forward to following your journey!
