May apple is the plant with umbrella leaves and single flower. Jesus is the best hiking partner you can have. Forget how long it takes and enjoy your time on the trail and nature. It won't be easy but there you will meet yourself and hopefully work out your problems. Happy hiking and I will be watching !

The umbrella plants are mayapples. The flower,after fertilization, grows into the “apple”, an edible fruit. However, the apples are a favorite of box turtles and we rarer get a chance to see one, much less eat one!

Glad to see you're still carrying Jesus with you in the pack. The section of woods with the flowers up to Big Bald was just so beautiful and brings back such good memories for me of the peaceful feelings those beautiful wood walks bring. You're doing great Julia keep going one step at a time at your pace and enjoy every day!
