Actually, her death always bugged the crap out of me. Because after this scene, it's like she didn't even exist anymore. She was never brought up again during Children of the Gods. Her only role was to sole the seeds of doubt into Teal'c.

Presumably Goa'uld queens look like any other Goa'uld most of the time and only bloat up like we saw with Egeria and Anubis' queen when they're pregnant.

The Goa'uld inside the female Jaffa seems to choose on its own accord whether it likes the offered potential host. While in a Jaffa's belly, they are not blended. When a Goa'uld takes a host, the host personality is completely displaced, unless it's a Tok'ra, in which case the Goa'uld makes the decision to share the host with the original consciousness 50-50. I must come to the conclusion that your first hunch is correct.

I think it's due to exposure, they have used human hosts for thousands of years, if they are to pick human hosts for themselves and eachother they probably grew preferences for the appearance of their hosts, as a status symbol.

I think at this point in time only a handful of Jaffa hold this belief or have this suspicion. To be fair your average Jaffa probably has little interaction with a Gould beyond hosting a symbiote. Probably why there is so much religious ceremony involved too. Also there is the little fact that Jaffa tend to not have much knowledge about any of the technology they are around and thus perceive it as magic. Actually there are tons of things the Gould do to decieve the Jaffa and also increase the belief that they are God's, such as the eye glowing and the voice change.

The Jaffa depend on the Goa'uld to survive - the symbiote larves give them strength, without them, they die slowly and painfully. They are seen as the "Children of the Gods", a present from their masters to them. Obviously, the Goa'uld are not benevolent gods. They are similar to the god of the old testament, that demands worshipping and portrays himself as the only true god, while inflicting punishment to those that don't worship him. The creation of the Jaffa is similar to the creation of men in Genesis in that regard.

If I'm not mistaken, it's the very first episode named "Children of the Gods".

Well the really last time we see Daniel's wife she was again under the controll of her Ghould symbiont ( that symbiont let lose some controll in one episode becaus I want not harm the human Baby but after thedeliver it again get full controll. the SG1 team make an ambush on her and the surrounding Jaffar. and Danial try to follow her to speak with her. The ghould have the full controll and use this hand reader/tourcher devise on him to kill him. And tealc goe into action and kill her right infront of Danial with his staff Weapon. and that was only the intro of this episode. the other parts were the followup were Danieal try to deal that his friend murder his wife right infront of him.

@@benjaminschiel3339 Right. They barely searched for her. Then she was killed of in an intro. In episodes 1 and 2, finding and saving her and Skara was stated as a main goal. SG-1 and Atlantis often did that. There was a big pressing issue, but they spent most of their time doing something else.

You have to consider that the Goa'uld are parasites who invade the host's (humans's) body. Before these parasites are mature enough to be able to claim a body for themselves, they have to be incubated. The woman you are referring to is herself not the queen, she is a Jaffa who was chosen to incubate the queen in her pouch. The snake-like creature coming out of the pouch is in fact the queen. So there's three different parties to consider here. The Goa'uld are the snake-like parasites, the Jaffa are the incubators for larval Goa'uld and the humans who are the hosts for the mature Goa'uld. My guess is that breeding queens are very rare, an implantation like this might be a once in every 500-1,000 year event. If the queen has rejected her, because she was chosen as a possible queen confers status to the host such that she can't be then used for any lesser Goa'uld (nor, presumably, Apophis' harem). That's my guess, anyway. Once designated as a possible royal host, she can't be anything less than that, so she has to die.
