A common teaching method is to focus on expanding your trumpet range down rather than up to play in a more comfortable embouchure. Trombone players are often required to play varying ends of the pitch spectrum, both very high and very low, so this level of understanding and utilizing embouchure naturally comes to trombone players more than trumpet players.

speaking as someone whos been performing classical music for 10 years, yes there is special emphasis on being able to have every note written sound out with clarity, but the biggest challenge is doing that, but then also making sure that your cadence doesnt sound robotic and dull. and good player can play the notes, a good musician can speak them.

Hard to tell what type of mouthpiece he's playing on, looks like a 10.5 c with a booster on it. Then again it sort of looks like a Monette Prana, I could be wrong.

Lol just speculating, it looks like some type of bach mouthpiece with a booster. But only shorty knows what he's playing on.

it doesn't look like a booster, but KGU Music makes boosters that will give you a similar look and they are super high quality.
