To me, I think they are the ideal couple of this show who have a strong characteristics that are problematic but interesting. It just brings the fun to audience’s intention and I love that.

It feels like some weird sitcom curse. The same thing happened in Friends as well... The hyped up relationship of Ross and Rachel just turned out seemingly immature despite the duration and all that history while Monica and Chandler turned out to be the more realistic, mature couple

But she's not ashamed of him... sometimes she can have issues... but everyone has issues sometimes... most of the time, she actually respects him and is supportive of him.

Penny even hide and disappear Leonard collection and stuff. I could never forget that. Instead of Penny opening her mind about new things she was manipulating Leonard into to being a high schooler. Dumbest girl ever, the really took a turn to the absolute worst!

It seems to me that since sitcoms are supposed to be comedic and funny they ignore many issue and horrible things that the characters do to each other because it's funny. This affects not only romantic relationships (Leonard and Penny) but also other non-romantic relationships in the group (Leonard and Sheldon, Howard and Raj...). If partners and friends did to each other what the characters in sitcoms do to each other the partnerships and friendships would fall apart quite quickly.

The only thing I love more than them scoring Teller to play Amy's father was his fascination with Howard's magic tricks, lol And the silence of Teller is a stage act. Penn grew up working the carnival and juggling. His first real career was talking up acts and grabbing attention. Teller was the better magician of the two, but realized that Penn was the better orator between them. So they just leaned into that _hard!_ And what they've done with it is brilliant (look up and watch "The Physicists Deck of Cards," for a great example of this)

I’ve heard him speak before, he just doesn’t speak in his magic acts and on their magic debunking show for effect. He’s done a masterclass on magic, it would be pretty hard to teach it if he didn’t speak 😂

I'm sorry, why do so many people seem surprised by this? Leonard is a NERD. Rule number 1 of Nerdiness: EXPECT TO BE ABUSED. I know, it's not a pretty sight, but that's just the reality of the cosplaying, comic-collecting, RPG-playing, socially awkward, academically conscious lifestyle. Other people - the "cool" people - are barely able to tolerate us, and when they do, they take the opportunity to dump trash cans over our heads, or stuff us into lockers, or play keep-away with our notebooks; and if they need to release excess stress, they just pummel us. Seriously, how are you not familiar with this? And frankly, Leonard should have expected something like this just by marrying a girl like Penny. I'm guessing he's just grateful that Penny is even with him at all. He has certainly gotten farther with women than any real-life geek I know.

It is just that he is k own not to talk thanks to his magic act with Penn that when he does act in shows etc the creators keep with the whole silent thing as it is what he is best known for unless, of course, Teller doesn't mind a speaking role.

After Misery, I have always seen her in the scope of horror and suspense (and that was a gigantic turn-off), never once did I picture her as comedic. It's sort of refreshing.
