They need a server browser and let people start a custom server that has any of the fun maps you can get from the workshop. Let people start up a volleyball server or a spikeball server or DROPSHOT

Cool map! One thought- if you make the winning condition that you have to score in all three goals AND have more points, the goals don’t become pointless after they are scored in once. It also makes the game more strategic- you can either try to rack up points, or go for variety and score points later (kind of like cricket for darts)

Hey Leth, you should make a map where you can turn the goals on and off with a button. If you hit the button it will turn your goal on and the other team’s off.

It has kinda been done, with "Hanger 22" (Title: Rocket league but you have to unlock the goals) and one a few weeks ago where the backboard opens the goal (Title: Rocket league but you can ONLY double-tap to score)

I liked this map, I think it would be interesting if scoring on the same circle removes the previously scored goal, so you would have to score again for it to count. Would make same circle goals more interesting

If you made the lights toggle between on/off when scored, you could make the win condition all of the lights being off. That way goals where lights are off could be turned back on if rescored on, making them relevant when knocked out

I think one of the most interesting things about these kinds of videos is seeing how a high level player reacts to situations where they can't read the ball, which just rarely ever happens with the standard rocket league field

The arrows animation on the floor should glow a solid color after their corresponding goal has been scored in to easily keep track of which goals you still need to score in

Need to have the "bullet" in the chamber disappear when scored to indicate and a collision plane above the hole so it doesn't break play.

Leth, been watching for a few years. I love the maps. Have you tried testing the maps to see how one would affect all the ranks? My thought was I always wanted volleyball in place of dropshot. Same concept but more cordination. But not sure how golds would fair in this. Hope you see this. You think very outside the box with the maps you make. Not sure how certain maps would affect people of all skillsets. Keep up the hard work.

Love the map, but maybe you could make it so after you score the flashing arrows that point to that goal turn off. That way you can easily figure out which ones you have already scored on.

Such a great map, I really like the idea and rocket league definitely needs to hire you as a map designer. I don't know if it's possible but it would be great to cover the hole once a goal has been scored in it, but it's still a very fun map as it is

Great video man! as always. and just to bring ideas What if every time you score the animated arrows you have in the middle of the field turn off and the hole gets iluminated, it would look super polish. as well once you score on 3 of them Enable the Goal animation, like a more polish "reset goal disable" thing, just to not start the kick off every time you score, only once you score on 3 of them. Idk if I explain myself hahaha but keep it up :D

Know what would be a pretty good troll on this map? Keep the need to score each goal but after one is scored, let the cars fall down that hole (turn off the collider). It would be cooler if it only applied to the defensive team - meaning letting in a goal means they can now fall through the floor in that spot - but would still be funny if had to affect both teams equally.

Wow! very nice map. I love the scoring system. the only thing is that games may take quite a while especially among lower ranks, so maybe a overtime/tiebreaker system may be good for this. But I really hope epic hires you fr. Thanks for another good vid!

It should be like Russian Roulette where there is an invisible barrier over two goals and one open on each side and it rotates each round(I don't know how hard that would be to code though). You won't know witch one to score into until it bounces out and and try again at the next goal/hole. That way the map would work in regulation and epic might actually employ it.... just a thought. Love the vids though, keep it up!

what if there was a similar version of this map but every time the ball is scored the goals swap, so if blue team scores in what is normally the orange goal that becomes the blue goal, and vice versa - disable goal reset (or play with the spawns to really throw people off) - everything is white if you want to confuse everyone and cause more own goals

this map just needs a couple of tweaks and the game mode is complete. Need blocking volumes on goals that have been scored on and a counter variable in kismet to both keep track of when all 3 have been scored on to then grant the point, as well as an indication on when to disable goal reset and when to leave it on so that there's no reset until all 3 chambers have cleared and the single point is awarded

Frosty fest has been buggy for me as well, other than it being meh. Not sure if this is something others have experienced. Seems like Rocket League slightly increased system demands or network demands at least. (In the new season)

No joke, I think Leth has more experience creating maps and working with UE3/Rocket League than most Psyonix employees. I do admire his persistence and optimism, toward Rocket League's future. Leth has been making maps/unique game modes for years, but Psyonix never tries to collab or use his ideas. I think most people would have given up by now, Leth is just built different though

As a software engineer, I think it's important to remember that the lack of variety isn't the fault of the developers. They are more than qualified to make fun and exciting maps. But they have no say. They can only do what their bosses tell them to do. And even tho they want to make fun maps, they literally can't do anything about it without the consent of the higher ups

I'd like to see a game of this but changed slightly, where finishing all of the circles ends the game but the score determines the winner. Maybe the team who finishes the circles also adds 3 points to their score.

I have great concept do a super monkey ball, monkey target setup it's basically a giant ramp into a jump and you have to air dribble it to 3 targets with point values that increase the further target you reach and have multipliers in the sky in awkward locations

Personally I’m not that into custom modes that go too far from “sports but with cars”. Your volleyball map is a perfect example of a mode that would be a great fit in rocket league. It’s simple, it’s fun and it’s following a very known sport. While Epic and Psyonix focus so much in not diluting the player base too much between several modes, they made the game stale. New updates are comprised of almost exclusively of cosmetic items, while the core game remains outdated. New cars and collabs are fine. It’s always fun to see new well known vehicle added to the game. Just look at lightning McQueen. But they can’t be the only thing being added to RL. Knockout was probably the last “different thing” they added in the game and it’s lots of fun.

Lethamyr for Rocket League President! I'm glad to see Rocket Labs come back, but it is odd that they have to rotate Snow Day and Drop Shot to make it happen. With the lack of content outside of standard play, there's certainly room for both.

Dearest Lethamyr, I know you are a very busy person, but, what would Rocket Racing look like inside Rocket League? Would it be possible to have REALLY slow boost gain, and then the faster dropshot-style boost gain when power-sliding? Would there be a way to implement the hazards? Could pressing boost once use like 33% boost all at once? Most importantly, is there an easy way to import some or all of the maps?

I think i speak for a huge part of the RL community when i say the best part of rocket league… are your videos. You make the game look more fun and make it way more entertaining than the actual game is. Psyonix and epic clearly give 0 fs about the community and the game as a whole.

Its more for the majority of us that dont have the skill or time to get to an extremely high level that just wanna use the skill we do have to have some fun in the game with different more exciting things other than just straight competition or exhibition matches
