Tedeschi Trucks Band performs the title track from it's four album series, I Am The Moon, live at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO. Steve Berlin from Los Lobos sits in with the horn section.
Also hats off for the soundengineer. Every clip I have seen so far, professional or amateurs with a smartphone, sounds incredible balanced. Never heard that anywhere else.
Seeing them live is my personal version of going to church. It fills my soul with so much positive emotions that I feel absolutely bathed in light afterwards.
I'm seeing them live for the first time this summer. I feel this way just listening to their their new album, so seeing them live will be a divine experience.
I just saw them 3 nights ago for the first time. Plain words are too small to say how their music moves an entire auditorium of people. The amount of talent gathered on one stage is astounding. It feels like a privilege to be present. This song was a true highlight.
Thank you 🙏 I just saw them and words fail me it doesn’t feel adequate You came closer to my experience What the best music feels like-they all shook the room to the rafters, beautiful evening
@@flyjarrett there was actually a pretty good audience recording on the archive that I downloaded but I would still love to get an officially released album overseen by the band
@@griphfunk I was there both nights too and really enjoyed the second night more. Glad my 2nd was someone else's 1st. Curious what made it stand out for you.
@@uberjam-sam8512 Loved the premiere of Gravity on that 1st night and drum & percussion interplay on Pasaquan blew my mind on night 1. Those are my two faves from the new project and they played them perfectly which is probably why that night stood out for me. Plus I loved the War cover
I had the wonderful privilege of seeing this band in Melbourne, Australia a few years back. Susan said she'd lost her voice mid way through the set and I never would've known, she was just amazing. I was lucky to get to jam with Derek when he was 15 (it was at a NAMM show event and our band backed him). Derek certainly wouldn't remember but I'll never forget it. I saw him again 10 years later and it was like a religious experience for me. Probably what it was like for people to see Jimi Hendrix for the first time all those years ago. Derek is definitely the greatest living slide guitarist and one of the greatest musicians as well.
Didn't go to RR, but we saw them on this tour local to us. I mean, they keep getting better and better every single year. I don't know how they do it. Been seeing them live since the beginning. Every tour. Hell, we even scheduled a planned trip one year to NYC to make it to the Beacon because they're so good. Orchestra of love, indeed.
Can't find my comment (if I made one)... about their show in Pittsburgh earlier this year. Just excellent... every single song. This one brought a tear. What a duo - they should be damn proud of the LIVE music they bring to us these days. Serious quality tunes ✌️✌️
My wife and I travel to CO every year to catch TTB run at Red Rocks. We were at this show in row 6. Seen TTB about 40 times across the country but Red Rocks is always extra special. If you have a chance, plan a trip to Red Rocks to see them. They always have the last weekend of July there and it’s always unforgettable.
I agree. My wife and I always travel to Red Rocks to see them every year. We were also at the show. Row 12 I think. See them every year in OH and Nashville as well. Seen them 53 times, Red Rocks is always special though. Haven’t seen them at the Beacon yet, that’s on my bucket list. Advise anyone to see them live, it’s practically a religious experience
That was Pure FIRE!!!!❤🔥❤🔥🔥🔥Susan gives the nod right around 4:05...then Gabe shoots a smile...and at 4:20 Derek hits ... NASSSSSTY slide Note...then proceeds to melt faces! I so can't wait to see TTB again!!!
Thank you TTB for performing on my birthday in Cincinnati. July 18th. You always manage to perform the week of my birthday. But it’s really not about me. 6:16 I made a very small sign that said “thank you for filling my inner cup with joy. I always fly solo. I purchased a ticket in the 100 section, assuming I’d sneak down to the front row & flash my sign for 30 seconds. Well, Chris the head of security was determined to make me sit in my actual seat, which I almost never do. I was almost kicked out of the show twice just for enthusiasm!! After the show I spotted the tour busses. There were several guys hanging out in front of the busses. I asked one of them to take my photo holding my tiny sign. He pinky promised me that he would show it to the band. I’m 98% sure he didn’t. But if he did? Just know that your music has saved my heart, brain, soul, and truly saved my life. And still does. I wish I were your neighbor so I could bring some sort of casserole to your hootenannies. Thanks for sharing your art with me & and the world , writ large. I’m so grateful ❤
This gave me goosebumps of appreciation. Yes I have heard it before. But I had covid early this year and since then hadn’t felt the ripples of joy in response to good music. But hearing this brought them back. Thank you guys. Your songs are good medicine for the soul. ❤
Had the great pleasure to see this band in person 2 days ago and all I can say is WOW!! If you have the chance, it is worth every penny and more. What talent they have, all of them!!
If beauty was a minute this would be a hour. Just a great group of musical talent. If you haven’t seen them live go treat yourself to a really great experience ❤
Recently came across this band (thanks RU-vid ;)) and am now completely besotted with them :) Fascinating to read the background to the making of “I Am The Moon”... and, finally, I found out the name of the other vocalist: Gabe Dixon! Needless to say, I'm sending links to their music to everyone I know :)
Lyrics and the musical tone of a good blues song hopefully kindles a memory of sadness in the listener. When the execution of the piece results in such tendril of emoution, the artist transmits the full cup of emoutional and musical joy of sadness to the listener. The loyal animals can not protect his heart. This performance is in my mind, is an example of a great blues piece. Thank you.
I just heard about an hour ago but you guys were coming to Knoxville again thank you Nashville was going to be a hard get to but, I just live 3 minutes from the Coliseum in Knoxville thank you thank you thank you!
Searched HIGH & LOW to find out who does the 2023 Chevy Silverado commercial tune "Walk Away With Me" which I had pegged as Bonnie Raitt, but turns out that it's you guys. Just an AMAZING tune and an amazing vocal, especially love the brass cue following "I would go anywhere, anytime..." -- sheer awesomeness, thanks TTB!
