In today's video after another resounding victory for Germany over Hungary in which Toni Kroos dropped another masterclass completing over 100 passes in the process. I answer the question: Does Toni Kroos Pass for no reason?
There is a reason a player with no physical edge, no dribbling, no goals etc. was the starter for the Real Madrid team for 10 years consistently. You showed that very well in this video.
@@rajnishsasmalMaldini said in an interview that if he had to make a tackle then he already made a mistake. I think Kross is similar in that if he needs to make a dribble he already made a mistake. Just like Maldini, Kross’s game is intended to take advantage of positioning and exploiting the opposition’s movement.
England and Brazil are currently struggling because they lack reliable ball progressor like Kroos As a Real Madrid fan, I like the criticism Vini and Jude is getting now because next season they are playing without Kroos so it will be lot difficult to get ball from midfield we have to see how Vini and Jude help to solve this problem PP - Progressive Passes per game PC - Progressive Carries per game Kroos gives 11 PP and 1 PC Jude gives 7 PP and 3 PC Fede gives 6 PP and 3 PC Cama gives 5 PP and 2 PC Tchou gives 5 PP and 1 PC We also have to see how Fede, Tchou and Cama will step up in Kroos's absence
You can include Bellingham as a midfielder. Mbappe will definitely play as 9. But I would not be surprised to see Kimmich moving to R Madrid or some other upcoming talent to replace Kroos. Don't know how R Madrid get so many signings correct.
Jude Fede Cama and Tchouameni can work but there’s no tempo setter there. I will be very intrigued to see how Jude operates next year. He’s going to be deeper, he’s gonna score less goals. Let’s see if he’s really a star.
@@Chadius_Thundercock progressive pass is taking the play into the next phase such as from defender in position to midfielder in position or midfielder to forward in position beating the press or area marked. Key pass is a pass that leads to a play opening up for an assist or chance to score goal. Switching the play to keep possession is not a key pass, but switching the play for winger to counter and run into the box is a key pass. This is my understanding.
Yep there is a reason Madrid started him like 10/10 times, I really do wonder who's going to replace him in Madrid. Great Video, definitely earned my sub!
He isn't going to be replaced. Mbappé comes into a 4231 with Belligham as a 10 or a 433 with Belligham as an 8. The first choice midfiel is goind to be Camavinga (or Tchouameni), Valverde, Bellingham
Pointless passing? Don't like the thumbnail, but subscribed to your channel. Good content. I believe next season Real Madrid without Toni will give off Real Madrid 2013/2014 vibes with dribbly boys, more counterattacks and generally a more direct, less possession oriented game. Which is exiting, but also worrying, because as we have seen against Bayern this season, sometimes you need this player who will calm down the team in possession, bring assurance and keep the game fluid and quick.
Ayo, great Job with that video! A very relaxed and spot on analysis. First time watching you and I definitely sub to you. I will now watch your other vids in backwards order 👍
To understand what Kroos is doing on the pitch is to understand what football is about. Its the constant brilliant positioning that buys him a fraction of a second longer on the ball to see what the play needs next. The pass then comes always with a message for the team mate. If its sharp, go ahead. If its slow, come back. Gündogan perfectly matches that style and understand what Kroos is thinking. It holds their team constantly a tiny bit ahead of the opponent wich makes it harder for them to find good decisions like pressing triggers. Fewer good decisions lead to more bad decisions. Its a mind game.
I think you can't mention enough times that it's the consistency that sets him apart from everybody else. Other players do what Kroos does, but they don't achieve it at 99% accuracy. That's just insane skill. Great video and conclusion!
As a German, I like this video very much👍 Kroos actually got lots of hate before he came back to the national team, in which his haters like Uli Hoeneß said that he should be called „cross pass Toni“ Anyone with basic football knowledge knows how important he is for the team, especially possession oriented teams. Still kinda sad, that he is going to retire, so we should appreciate his last games😁
I think Germany will win the Cup. Toni Kross is right know in his final Stage also in his prime. Plus The squad with Nagelsmann works very good. I think the Coach is a Genius and is able to put these player in their role. Just look at Füllkrug and David Raum, Kroos and Gündogan and some very Strong Andrich and Can as Back Up. I think the situation at Real Madrid is very exciting. Ancelotti has to change the whole system if he can't replace Kroos. Camavinga, Tchuameni, Bellingham and also Modric a different types. Thank you for your knowlege. Super interesting. Subbed!
i don't agree with saying "sideways passes don't impact the play" .. we don't see it but some players use it to pull out the gaps between the players .. football is a game of small details.. and every detail matters
Nice video, man. Thanks for the work you put in, it is appreciated. :) So, one thing, it is not Toni "Cruise", it is more like Toni "Cross" but stretching the "o" a little. Keep up the good work!
Im probably not the most certified person to give you advice mate! But I would say try and understand why a player makes a decision in a game based on their positioning and the decisions of those around them. Is it instinctual or calculated? If it is calculated, how did they get there?
I would love if you would do something similar for Thomas Müller (if he plays). I believe Thomas is doing what Kroos does but for the attacking players.
Watching this Video you've got me intrigued Kroos does this So did Scholes? Would be nice to show every non-man utd fan Scholes's type of play Kroos and Scholes sre pretty similar
Honestly answer me, can Germany have the capability to beat SPAIN (If I consider that, they will be manage to beat Denmark/Slovenia, somebody told that eligible is Slovenia, anyway) , specially after watching the match against Switzerland??
Excellent work bro. That role is called a 'Regista' I think Griezman played this role for France for a long time, Kante plays this role for France but in a defensive way
Toni Kroos der Mann von der Ostseeküste ist leider etwas zu Systemkonform. ( Zum Thema Covidterror und zur Lage der Nation) Gut , er ist Multimillionär, aber er sollte sich alternativ informieren.
Dude, you spent so much time analyzing his passes - but unfortunately fail in pronouncing his name correctly… it‘s not Cruise or Cruz it‘s more like „Kross“ (like gross with a K)
@@nrbrt7869 Yes, but the message that this thumbnail is transporting for people who just glance over it and don't actually watch it, is highly misleading. That's fucking unnecessary. I heard him talk and I sum it up as "I know soccer better than anyone but if I were to play myself, I'd be trash." Not worth listening to people, who critique top level football without even playing well themselves.
Yeah, stick to NBA or NFL….. 🤦🏽♂️ pointless passing?? You never saw Xavi and iniesta pass the ball from side to side in midfield 1500 times a game??? So boring make a dude fall asleep mid game no bs…. Pick and choose, my dude, PICK AND F****** CHOOSE!! 🤡
