I looked up Cooking Mama 2 on speedruns. - The category has been added - Your run is yet to be added to the All Gold Medals category - You're listed as a moderator for the game - Under the Misc. categories is a category called "Burn A Pie", which as of time of writing has 14 confirmed runs. The world record is currently 2 minutes and 36 seconds. Congratulations, you're forever encapsulated in Speedrun history.

Jaiden spending four whole minutes describing her potential failure in great detail, and then punctuating with a three second, "but I didn't, I got it, it's fine," before moving on is honestly too real. I spend so much energy losing my mind about failures that I haven't even experienced, hardly paying any attention or giving myself any credit for my actual, real accomplishments. That reminds me off my taekwondo challenge. I’m decent at taekwondo but that day I was tired and sleepy. So I went to the dojo and they were giving out trophies. But they prob knew if they were only 3 people everyone would get a trophy. Most teams had like 6-7 people but my team only had 4. Only the 4th person didn’t show so during the contest I did the worst but still got a trophy lol. My parents were so proud of me, so I waited until the next week until I told them. To be fair the other people were like 5 years older than me.

tl:dr this isnt the comment that traumatized jaiden. assuming you're coming from the alpharad gold video then you'd know she read the comment a day after she posted this video. as of writing this comment this video is three years old so the comment would also be three years old. the alpharad gold video was posted a month ago from when I'm writing this comment and this comment was as well. it's more likely this person saw the alpharad video and made this comment.

Hey you are wrong actually. Check the speed running archive. She is number 8. All submissions are approximately a year ago. So others might of ran it after her. She is in the All Gold Medals category. That was an incorrecr statement. However I understand your other points

To this day "All Gold Medals" is still one of the least run categories for Cooking Mama 2. Even if she lost the record, she still deserves mad respect in my book for running the hardest category of a game for one of her first runs. Edit: 12:31 3 years later, and no one on the leaderboard has managed to get half her time.

True facts this video inspired me to peek and see if one of my childhood faves had any speedruns. As a kiddo I was STUPID into the game Dark Cloud ( Dark Chronicle outside the US ) and I found it has a speed running page... With exactly ONE runner who has made a dozen different catagories to keep running the game over and over in increasingly thorough ways. So now I'm playing Dark Cloud again. Time to beat in the first catagory is 60 hours, so Imma do a Test playthrough and save at multiple points to see where I can streamline grinding and minimize dependence on RNG, figure out which weapons are best for each dungeon, ect. Thanks for your role in sparking the thought, you're an amazing human who makes inspiring things.

On her first attempt, Jaiden takes eight hours and here we are a year later with the current record being two and a half hours. It's amazing how fast the speedrun community can optimize runs.

2.5 hours is for any% category. Jaiden's category (all golds) is currently at 4 hours (set 10 days after Jaiden's run, haha). Still great though.

As of the posting of this jaiden you’re in last place of the category in 9th place but you honestly did amazing I’m sure if I tried it myself I’d screw up lol, apparently first place has about 4 hours but it’s amazing to know not only did you achive a world record at the time but you also got the first world record speedrun, I like how you said the time could easily be cut in half and at best it wasn’t even cut down that far so you roughly did amazing at this

If I were to attempt a speedrun for any game or series, it would probably be the "Ratchet & Clank" games. Mostly for 2 reasons: 1. They're my favorite games. 2. I know the games inside and out. Any of the "Ratchet & Clank" games from "Ratchet & Clank (2002)" to "Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart", I could potentially speedrun. (I've played through these games so many times, I practically have them memorized.)

7:23 One other speedrunner had it even worse: he had nearly finished the Earthbound speedrun, when his dog suddenly jumped onto his keyboard and caused all of his progress to be erased, which forced him to start the run all over again. Must've been extremely frustrating!😖🐶

yes and no, it's mostly cause her time is very easy to beat so a lot of people will indeed try to take the first place, that's what happens when you do this kind of things, look me for example, there was a speed run for a game I play competitively, I saw the runs and said, I can do this way faster than any of this people, so I did, I got the wr, then I got beaten, so I decided im the only worthy of holding said world record, so I got the record back, as of now im currently world record holder, but I got beaten again I'll simply break the record again.
