This has got to be the most comfy intro I've seen for an MTG video. And this was the deck I voted for too! Very sweet!

The scry 1 on marit lages slumber is so good, getting to scry every turn makes things quite consistent!

Honestly, the card I *really* want to see someone break in a 60 card format is Harvest Season: *Harvest Season* - 2G Sorcery Search your library for up to X basic land cards, where X is the number of tapped creatures you control, put those cards onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle.

28:00 You only tutored up 5 lands! If you got 6, then they would have lost Sundering Titan and they would have gone down to 4 life (which is significant considering how many 4-power threats you had)

Traverse probably just needs to be like a 1 or 2 of, not the full playset. It is inconsistent but when you can time it right or protect it with a counter then it's pretty great

Theres somthing comedic about how Seth tried for half a stream to eat lands with Karn with no real success and now everytime hes in that match up it happens to him immediately lol

Hey, Seth. I definitely love these 'critical mass' style decks vs the simple combo decks that either get there or don't. The games are way more interactive, longer, and more interesting. Nonetheless, love the content my guy

Only getting 5 out of 6 availible basics with Traverse was such a punt haha, would've bumped up the power of the bears to 12 and at least trade with the sundering titan. oof! fun deck though :D

Often times Against the Odds' backup plan outshine the main plan but here even when you're beating down you're still doing it with snow.

Way back in like 2012ish, I had a modern delver deck (similar to match 2) and played against a guy at work who ran the dark depths/thespian stage combo. Poor guy didn't know vapor snag was one of my favorites.

Cool intro. The Marit Lage land that turns into the 20/20 flying avatar is much cooler. Marit Lage, one of the most powerful things in MtG and yet no one would even remember them if not for the snow stuff recently.

@28:00 you took 5 lands instead of 6, was it a misclick? It would have given the bears +1 in power, making it a trade with the opposing 9/12 sundering titan (not sure if it would have made things different, as the opponent proceeded to live the dream with their archive draws but still something to note).

Plainwalkers are what got me into magic and super friends is the first comander deck I ever built. So I would love to see some game play of super friends when all will be one comes out.

Snow decks are fun, I enjoyed this. The historic decks are also a nice break from a pretty stale standard

U could use the enchantmebt that says " 1 colourless; sac thid enchanment and creatures you control gains haste" to finish the job the turn marit lage hits the table.

Hey Seth, love the video, deck and gameplay - really cool! If I was looking to make a budget Modern deck out of this, what would you recommend as a replacement for Traverse the Outlands? There's nothing quite as good as TtO, so I was thinking either Verdant Mastery (flexibility of cost with the downside of helping your opponent ramp too) or Shard Convergence and shifting the lands about to include some of the tapped snow dual lands to include Plains and Swamps, although that seems clunky. Other option is Migration Path although 2 lands for 4 mana compared to 4 lands for 5 mana just seems like bad value

im already playing superfriends in standard. grixis anvil superfriends has been very fun. the anvil gives you a lot of life and blockers to grind out the match while you get value of kaito and saheeli, sorin is just good, and then lili and ob attack your opponents hand.

I run traverse the outlands in gargos (commander). Once i got all my snow lands into play. And with Sunstone, I was able to control combat the rest of the game. Sunstone is an underrated card for commander. It's broken by questing beast.

With keruga they can still play brazen borrower and bone crusher as cheap removal. Maybe split cards too but I'm not sure about that.

As someone who owns one of every planeswalker, I’m biased, but superfriends are ALWAYS awesome. Especially when you play it.

Every time Seth makes a snow deck my impression is the same. This deck is sooooo much better than it should be. Lol I love superfriends. I'd watch whatever you make, but super friends is cool so I'm down.

I always enjoy a super friends deck, but I also understand how salty they can feel for opponents.
