@@ZombieKillaGDB here, go check out his dragons beard and butter chicken, actual disappointment rose in me when i saw those vids, he kept saying they were perfect, but they were bad because he didnt do either right ;-;
Imagine he baked this while at college and didn’t take the precaution of shutting his oven door or something and burned the building down like yeah he took precautions bc that’s what youre supposed to do.
@@Dosktop_personI mean yeah sure for someone who has access to all the tools and has a load of free time. Accessibility of a recipe plays into the difficulty as well.
I really don’t understand why people think baking is so hard. The hardest thing is having all the right stuff laid out. I mean you are literally just rolling dough out following a step by step instruction
People can’t and don’t like to follow instructions 😂 They’ll sprinkle in their own bullshit and act surprised when it doesn’t work. And I’m not even talking about baking
@@Romsk239 or they just convince themselves they just don't know how to do it right and stop trying, which is what I've seen with the people around me who don't bake. Just follow this man's example, stop caring so much, it's just some freaking cookies, not open heart surgery.
@@naolucillerandom5280 Yes, unfortunately I think most people get stressed easily, especially when it comes to doing something they’ve never done before and even more when all the control is in their hands 😅 you don’t succeed if you don’t try!
@@jaredroper3618 oke but no like actually yes he's egotistical but he's not overconfident like fucking watch what he's doing Overconfident is confidence with no back up and he obviously has backed up all of his shit talk
I work in making croissants. I learned on the job with no expierence prior (croissants wise). While i agree, It is very time comsuming, a lot of baking is. A lot of baking also is just following directions, so it's easy if you can read any recipe online, but to master/perfect it are another thing. Anyone can bake.
i mean tbf if i baked a croissant (sorry if thats not how you spell it im not good at spelling words) correctly on my first try i would be bragging about it too
@@user-tg4mt7fg7n If you cant have butter or milk you literally replace it with ghee (clarified butter) or skim milk, respectively. Cooking for food allergens is not that hard once you actually ask google what you can replace that with, or jsut exclude it entirely if you can. My mom cant have eggs, so instead of eggs i use the juice from canned garbonzo beans in recipes. In this age of information no one should ever fail at anything cooking related. All the answers are literally within 90% of peoples grasp, and likely accessible from the same device they are holding to watch this video.
Not many people know about this dish, it's a traditional South African dessert called koeksisters. I bet you these will be difficult!!! It's soaked in syrup absolutely divine
Ngl you’re right People always say I’m great at cooking/baking but it’s quite literally just following directions. To be a full fledged chef there’s more to it than that but to cook and bake food that tastes good that’s all you need
Cooking and baking ain't the same. Anyone can cook, you can literally just improvise and make shit up on the fly, no recipe required. If you know what your palet likes, you can make yourself a tasty meal. Baking definitely has more of a science and method to it. You try deviating away from a recipe and the final product can be ruined. There's a reason chefs are chefs and bakers are bakers (2 different jobs).
kinda agree, as long as i know the recipe i could make anything, heck i even manage to make pancake souffle, i kinda want to do baking but sadly i dont have oven, but for just cooking i could make anything and it taste pretty good (i even could make ramen or udon by myself)
I’m not even gonna lie, I’ve been wanting you to make croissants for a while. And those look freaking perfect. You have earned my respect in every way. 😮
"Today I wanted to eat a cwosant" "CWOSANT" "So i went to buy a CWASAUNT" "CWASAUNT" "And I bought a CWOSAWN" "CWOSAWN" "And I ate a CROSANT" "CROSANT"
Honestly, I get the point behind these videos and in some way, the guy inspires me to want to try harder when I fail a recipe and to stop looking at baking like a chore instead of a hobby.
"Baking is just measuring *things* and following directions." I`m currently in breads and pastry school, and I absolutely agree with that statement. Edit: First time getting more than 2k in my comment LOL
Work in a bakery! That would be such a great collab since there are so many different types of bakeries and it would be cool to see him at the next level of baking 😊
You should try Sfogliatelle Riccia. It is an italian dessert, very delicious. Doing the dough from scratch is very time-consuming and very hard because you need to make very thin layers.
Let’s not forget he HAS failed before. The baked Alaska was not baked, he failed the bearded dragon candy, and he made a meringue instead of a pavlova.
I love how he says that he wishes he could know what it's like to fail, when he messed up macarons, baked Alaska, pavlova, and so many more baked goods.
he didn't make a pavlova correctly instead he made a dessert call Meringue. a Pavlova is more like is more like a cake in shape and he also failed at other steps to make a pavlova (which i am too lazy to list)@@antoinedube-cote155
I used to be a pastry chef. Mans speaking facts when you look at baking at its core. Nothing but science, with the right instructions being followed you CANT fail. Developing new recipes can be frustrating, but once you have gotten your product to the point you want it, all you have to do is follow the exact same method to get the exact same result. Not sure why people would want to "humble" him by trying to have him make something "difficult". Literally anyone can make anything if they follow the instructions and that goes for everything food related. "But then why does this persons "x" taste better than this persons?" Because they didnt follow the same recipe exactly the same way.
Because what he does is rage-bait. He makes half-decent pastries, waits for people to comment on it on how he did it wrong, and watches the numbers rise as he refuses to undo his mistakes so people get even angrier. Very simple tactic. Very widespread. He uses it a lot throughout his channel.
@@christopherearth9714 in other words, because people are just oversensitive? Like, "rage bait" or not, nobody should be getting pressed about him making anything and saying its easy, regardless of wether or not it was done "properly". If he fucked something up, laugh and move on, if he executed it flawlessly, appreciate the aesthetic food and move on.
@watashinoai123456789 That's true, but the point is that he does it intentionally. He does it on purpose to build an image of an absurd ego that can possibly be toppled over since, obviously, people hate egomaniacs, so they try to disprove him and accidentally feed him money through interaction bias (algorithm stuff, I barely get it either). It's useless, though, since he doesn't respond to any negative comments nor try to fix it because that would be admitting defeat; and that would lower interaction bias. I understand why people react that way, though. It's like watching someone fuck up your profession while grinning about why he's doing it right and (albeit indirectly) stating that you have no idea what you're doing since you disagree with him. I know I essentially regurgitated what I first said, but I figured I'd try to clear up some of my reasoning. Personally, I don't think it's his fault, though. It's more of a flaw of how the algorithm works; prioritizing interaction from viewers over all else (from my knowledge). It's working for him, and he has no reason to stop. It's annoying for me, personally, as he seems to pop up frequently on my 'Recommended,' but maybe I'm a snowflake too. idk man
@@shezik1969the point of rage bait is to get those couple of people that won’t move on to argue by commenting and engaging on the video. It doesn’t really matter if he doesn’t get all the viewers to stay he just wants a couple of hate watchers.
"i wish i could fail just to understand how normal people feel like" *dragons beard candy* staring at the corner of the room *baked alaska* that never got baked
"I wish i could fail just to know what normal people feel like" the most humble and modest thing someone has ever said in the history of the internet edit: tysm for 225 likes!
There is no way for us to know if its actually his first time or not, could be that we find out in a while that this guy secretly owns a specialty bakery and has just been fucking with us this whole time
I don’t think it really matters if he’s lying or if he’s baking Jesus, the vids are funny and he did what was asked, why not be happy with what we got?
I dont understand. Only saw a few Videos of him and tbh the croissants are the first thing that look "OK". Not good... i think most of his baking looked horrible. The first few Videos i thought he was joking that his baking was good. Only to realize he really thinks his baking was good? Sad :(
