They'll probably nerf this fight soon. Took me over 4 hours to finally get the win. Sorry for weird audio on Day 2. Highlight taken from my Elden Ring DLC stream.
Good stuff man, deflecting is awesome. This boss is a super mixed bag for me. It could've been incredible but he's got more than a few moves that don't feel tested at all. One cuts through your i-frames, one is a frame perfect dodge timing on a medium roll (kinda requires the deflect tear to be consistently avoided) and some of his second phase moves feel over the top like the massive sprint-away AOE that barely gives you enough time to run away, not to mention that it can be hard to see what he's doing with all the crazy visuals sometimes. i think his difficulty is fine, i don't want him to be nerfed but i do want him to be fixed. the music is incredible in both phases and it could've been a great battle and the ultimate challenge to send off the DLC but as it stands right now its carried by rushed development which is a huge shame.
I beat him in a similar way: Fire knights greatsword with the deflecting tear, guard counter talisman, stamina regen and a ton of sweat It worked tho.. After like 300 tries
