I Beat Every Elder Dragon in Monster Hunter Part 2: Generation 2 

I was wondering why Akantor and Ukanlos weren't mentioned... and today I learned that they are classified as Flying Wyverns, for some reason.

Having killed all of the origional squad of gen 2 elders in dos i found there easier or harder depending on the monster. Kushala is definelty the easiest when compqred to freedom unite. The wind barrier means you can get near it unless its attacking or you have poisoned it and because dragon weapons are able to be obtained after slaying kushala so you either go in with a status like poison or nothing at all. Lunastra practically requires poison before you get a dragon weapon and your going to struggle, insta charges being your worst enemy in tbat fight. The crest can only be broken with dragon like in all the gen 2 games so chances are your not getting rid of the flame barrier. What i found when fighting it is that if you sit behind its legs when its doing anything that isnt a flame attack you can get lots of hits in, if its doing a flame attack you can very easily hit the head Teostra (or as i call it toaster, like its a massive coincidence that it can even be rearranged to toaster lmao) but same applies from lunastra but by this time chances are youll have a dragon weapon so you can break teostras head. For chameleos not much really chnages, just pray you can hit the head, dont get items stolen and if you cant find ig when its paintball is gone your basically fucked if you dont have smoke bombs lol Good video bro. I love second gen so seeing this vid is really cool and has given me info on atuff i havent fought in gen 2 yet (rusted and yama lol)

There's a GL Wide Shelling only strategy against White Fatalis, where you spam shellings and place barrel bombs over his shadow when he's about to land

Another method of removing Chameleos' invisibility in 2nd and 4th gen games is to throw a sonic bomb during it's attack animations. This will cause it to flinch and reveal it for a period of time (MHF2/MHFU onwards only, in Dos it will only be revealed for the duration of its flinch animation). This can also be achieved with properly timed Barrel Bombs or the Hunting Horn's Triple-Yellow Sonic notes.

One criticism is that the music is a bit too loud and makes your dialogue a bit difficult to hear, turn down the music a bit and it will be a much better video

Something strange they did with Crimson Fatalis throughout second generation, is that in Dos they changed his Armor Mode (Rage Mode) From MHF1 to be the same as White Fatalis' Armor mode (begins at 50% HP and lasts until 20% HP), then in MHF2 they changed him back to his MHF1 implementation (Armor Mode = Rage Mode).

Kushala felt like a legitimate threat in these old games. His wind barrier actually made me build armor sets to counter it. In World, he's a joke, and his wind barrier is negligible to the point that I never once considered making anti-wind armor.

You missed some parts of the Dos Yama fight, as well as fighting all 3 of the Fatalis Trio are easier on Freedom 2 and Unite as they feature the repel mechanic which is not the case for Dos. You also forgot to mention that regular Fatalis is also a Final Boss for Dos as he is 1 of the 5 HR 50 exams that you have to do. All 3 Fatalis hunts can only be done via event quest outside of the single time you get to fight regular and crimson in their exams in Dos.The Town is called the Battle quarters in MH2. White Fatalis has a unique unlock mechanic to be able to do his event quest in Dos when it is in rotation which F2 removed. This information is entirely based on Dos. Rusted Kushala does not share the same carves as regular Kushala as you cannot carve Daora Carapace, Daora Shells, or Daora Scales (can be picked up from a shiny drop), you also cannot obtain Daora Claws, Daora Horns, or Daora Webbing from Rusted Kushala from quest rewards. Rusted Kushala has 3 unique materials being Rusted Daora Shell, Rusted Daora Wing, and Rusted Daora Webbing. Rusted Kushala Daora can only be fought via the city siege mechanic in Dos with a repel quest in low rank picked up from the tavern and a kill quest in high rank picked up in the Elder Hall. You also didn't mention Shen Gaoren (I know his species is Carapceon but he is handled in the same way as the Lao and Yama) but just so you know since you haven't played much Dos he is fightable in the high rank fortress or city siege and once via the final HR30 exam to enter high rank. They nerfed his movement speed in MHF2/FU. TLDR play the console MH games as they are a very different experience compared to the portable experience, maybe I'll catch you online in Minegarde or Dundorma at some point.
