Yanma is a good sign of some of the issues of Gen 2: hard to find, not that many good moves, bad coverage, & not that great STAB. TMs also hurt as they were one time use and not that easy to get back if u could

As much as i love Johto and the 2-Region-System in Gen2, the Pokemon added to the Dex are either not available until the post game or just a huge pile of garbage, making these games effectively more like Gen 1.5 than Gen 2.
