I recently played Starfox 64 for the very first time and it was a BLAST. Now I finally understand what "do a barrel roll" means XD Have you played this wonderful Nintendo 64 classic and should I play Starfox Adventure next? Or maybe I should try for a better ending?! #nintendo #n64 #retro #letsplay

Nerdy aviation crap: those aren't barrel rolls, but rather aileron rolls. An aileron roll has the plane rotate on the roll axis with the center of rotation being straight through the nose of the plane. A barrel roll has the entire plane rotating around an imagined line outside it, as though it were inside a barrel.

Star fox 64 is a hard game. If you do decide to go on the hard path(havent finished the video yet so i dont know if you do), don't feel bad if things are hard. The best thing to do is just persevere. Also, with the exception of one fight, all of the fights are generally pretty fair. It's great to see people play this game for the first time though.

What I love most about this game us that the game is it's own sequel! The hard route takes place after the easy route.

I wouldn’t say the hard route is a sequel… they are just alternate paths. The hard path is the only way to get the “true” ending, but even then the only requirement is that you get to venom by completing area 6, which is possible even if you start on the easy route

honestly, you'd assume a game that's completely on rails would be fairly self-explanatory yet when you see somebody with zero foreknowledge play it's startling how difficult it can end up.

For the future, don't waste bombs. Many boss phases aren't affected by them. Pay attention to the sound effects; you'll be able to tell when you're doing damage. Also, during the Andross fight, use a bomb when he tries to suck you up.

@@marymajora When it was telling you Down and Down for the U-Turn, the second down refers to the down arrow on the *"C Buttons"* of an N64 controller; the C-Buttons being mapped to the Right Analogue Stick as Standard for Nintendo Switch Online.
