Hey loves! So the next part of this is recognizing the things that privileged people DON'T do. If you're doing any of the things in this video, babe- you gotta stop! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GLva8AEn-Ds.html
Love the travel advice. 7 years ago I decided to move to Spain for a year. Had no idea where I was going to live or how I would earn money. I just wanted to live in a new place, learn a new language, and experience art and a new culture. I bought the ticket anyway. Long story short - I happened to see a post on an expat forum on FB of a woman offering a free room in exchange for helping out with her little boy. I responded and we hit it off. She turned out to be the Director of Arts and Culture for the Basque government! I had a free room in a lovely apartment, helping with a sweet little boy, AND she gave me free tickets to art museums, the opera, a film festival, and even let me tag along to different sites and cities she went to for work. People. listen to Kristi (and to me). Know what you want, be clear in your intentions, move forward with faith, and the road will rise to meet you.
PS - I'm not a wealthy person. I did have to work hard for two years to build up to that dream, but I never let up. I had many anxiety-filled nights and self doubt, but I would not quit. I feel like the Universe took its cues from me. My one privilege, however, is that I am a born dual-citizen (American-French) which made moving to Europe vastly easier for me as I did not have to get a special visa. But I wouldn't have let that stop me. In fact, I was in the process of getting a visa to move to China to teach for a year. But that's a whole other story. Carry on. 😄
“So many times we are waiting for people to validate us and accept us and tell us that we belong in this space.” I have definitely have put off doing things that I have really wanted to do because I thought I needed some sort of invitation or blessing from someone who was already doing it. I had it backwards all along. The blessings and validations came AFTER I finally took action. If you are reading this now, listen to Kristi. She is telling you something very important! I wasted a lot of time waiting for invitations that never came.
this is my lifestyle. you need a touch of entitlement and delusion even to actually create the life you want. I have traveled the globe with 2 kids for 18 years as a single mom, living in amazing places and doing amazing things with basic income. I just always knew it was for us. Living in Brazil again now
We have been so mentally conditioned to think only rich people can travel or if you are retired. I have been told I dream big and that my ideas are just fantasy
Please I would love to hear how you did this, and what kind of work did you do? I have a little one and I just want to travel and explore the world w her, just working on the finances now ❤
2 years ago I decided to move to France. Once that decision was made, everything fell into place and I mean everything. It was so easy. Now I own a beautiful house with pool in the south.
I am interested in the south of France. Can you share the process in moving there and how to get a house over there, learning the language, etc. thank you in advance
At first I was like oh boy another mindset trend lmao but I actually love this and it’s so true. When you come from the most high God…helloo you’re the most privileged person in the world. And that goes for everybody.
"Live like privileged people" - a much-needed eyeopener, Thank you! "Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery. None but ourselves can free our minds", Bob Marley, Redemption Song.
"Why not me? It's going to be someone, so why not me?" That's a question I try to ask myself a lot. It really helps get me moving on taking chances (that need to be taken) and reaching out for opportunities. If I don't get it, at least I tried. I will not keep myself out of the running! And there are so many things you learn along the way even if things don't work out as you had hoped.
We just spoiled privileged, have a house, bed, food, car, family, internet, phones to watch this we all privileged just become aware of how privileged you actually are, people would give their entire existence to be in your shoes !!
And this is why daily gratitude is important. We are very spoiled. And I know my ancestors did not get to travel the world, so it’s my time to experience that for them.
The story about the "guy drowning" TRIGGERED ME! We miss so many opportunities because we decide that we want "God to save us" the way we envision he should. However, there is more than one way to do things and we should keep our eyes peeled for opportunities that will get us where we want to go, even if we never expected it to happen that way.
The best way to predict the future is to create it! Everybody is not an entrepreneur. However, solving a BIG problem on your level is one of the best/fastest ways to accelerate your income because you can predict the numbers based on who you help. This is not easy, but it's really simple. The wealthiest people in the world, solve the BIGGEST problems. You can follow that same strategy because it works for anyone who implements it effectively! Someone is waiting on your solution right now!!! Money doesn't solve all problems, but it definitely solves all money problems...
The” yes to opportunities “part is so true!! Like, we literally NEED community, yet so many cultures have completely shut off that avenue due to pride, ignorance, and selfishness. I’ll take all the hand outs, hand me downs, and opportunities as long as it’s coming from a helpful place.
There are so many envious, narcisists, back staving people, amongst the poor. I talk by experience, I come from that poor background. Move on without them and aim for your best life.
My grandmother used to preach to me how there was more than one way to skin a cat lol, I think it came from the old days when superstition was really predominate. Either way I'm so glad she used to tell me this often because it helped me adopt a problem solving and optimistic mindset! Rip Mary Magdalene Todd🌹

I have noticed that people will not tap into this mindset because they do not know it exists. People are trapped in their own heads about the reality they see versus the reality they want and desire. The truly feel like HOW CAN I THAT THIS FROM THIS. I tell people it’s about changing circles. When we are exposed to new conversations (such as the one you’re having with us now) we can explain our minds. However when everyone around us is having “group think” we cannot get out of it. I’m thankful you made this video. Imma share with a few of my ppl. Ps that’s also another thing. As we learn we should definitely share this mental wealth.
I have parking spot favor, plane comfort favor, business idea favor and effortless song making favor….. I affirm “I get and I have every thing, experience and person that I desire. Everything is always playing out for me and in my favor…. Keep acknowledging your power and God’s blessings whenever you’ve gotten what you want.
I created a clothing line called Pretty Privilege! The name was inspired by my ex that did not give me what i deserved in the relationship! His favorite sayings was ( you think your pretty privilege type of girl narc/ gaslighting) I finally left that! But that’s definitely where my name came from and love it! My sons definitely has this mindset!
When I tell you how fast you got a new subscriber based on nothing but "I'm not going to gatekeep" and then the actual message? GOD that's refreshing. I see you being clever, though. It needs explanation, so people hang around for the rest of the video, or at least more, but still. 50 seconds in. There are videos like this that go 5 minutes before a thesis is even touched. Bravo.
Wow! You are literally doing the Lord’s work. You keep making videos that are speaking to my situation(s). Congrats on the open RU-vid door🎉🙌🏾 God is so good!
Saying that someone else is "privileged" puts them one up and YOU (generic sense) one down. Why do that to yourself?? I hate it when people willingly put themselves one down like that. Thank you for this video Kristi, you are so right, ANYONE can claim the privilege that anyone can access.
the thing about this mindset , it's the frequency that aligns with abundance. It's bigger than 'being privileged'. It's living in faith to activate manifestation of higher frequency emotions... By doing and living life with the idea of abundance then you demonstrate faith through your actions (not just words or thoughts) and that reinforces the attraction of abundance
Something that helps me is the knowing that the Universe created me, and you, each, to experience all of the Universe through! Our personality is expressing God, our person is ego or mind based. So when you have the slightest urge, whether to sip a cool drink, go try something new, or a burning desire to have things...that urge/desire/preference, is the Universe waiting to experience it through You! We already have "it"
I really want to improve my life by changing jobs and buying a bigger house so my family can enjoy living right now my life is boring i just have to change my mind your words are very motivating
I’m 22 and this video is perfect! everything starts with the mind and how you perceive your situation is exactly how it will be. I feel as Black women, we always feel we have to “get it out the mud” and “struggle long and hard for success” when in reality, God places people right in front of us to help - it’s just up to us to see. I also make motivational/self development videos and I would love for anyone reading to check them out :)
I love your perspective! It’s so true that mindset plays a huge role in how we navigate challenges. Recognizing the support around us can be a game changer. Your dedication to creating motivational content is inspiring-thank you for sharing!
I didn’t even realize that I was practicing this! This totally works. In the most simple way, I equate this to being or seeming “delulu”! Others may think you are overly confident or delusional, but if the spirit tells you it’s yours and you believe it… baby, it is!!!! I can testify!! And I was NOT “born into privilege” or the privileged culture.
I can see where it seems delusional- and I like that people are starting to embrace that. I also see it as a full on mindset shift where other people perceive you as delusional bc they don’t get it. But for those of us living it out, it makes perfect sense.
Loving the RU-vid story. Go girl! WALK THROUGH THE OPEN DOOR. Say YES! I'm learning the asking for help piece. Asking and recovering from hyper independence ❤ thanks for this. Great reminders ❤
Love this so much. Learning to be proactive, take initiative and make myself visible to the people and opportunities I want has been a big part of my self esteem, feminine and confidence journey Nobody is coming to save you and that's a good thing. You gotta make it happen for yourself and walk into places like you deserve to be there and take up the space that's yours!
"But now I've got it back", sounds good on you! Seriously, thats what it's all about, most ppl had it at some point. Now get it back! It takes work, mental decluttering, emotional sorting, surrender, and be - living (be and live it).
I’m so glad I came across this video. I really needed to hear this message as a person who’s a big over-thinker. I need to live life instead of life living me. Let go of fear of the uncertainty and just trust that everything will work out.
I'm so glad you found it helpful! I am also a natural overthinker but have found ways to combat it. I actually did a video about it that I think you might find helpful. There is a beautiful life waiting for you to enjoy! Video link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SvtRPZHEZVk.html
Love this! Such a unique and beautiful way of looking at things. It’s funny because I had practiced the “of course I belong here” idea when I moved to NY. Some are afraid of the city and think it’s all harshness but everywhere I go there are friendly people because I expect it. Then when they smile I say yep people are so friendly here just to seal it in my head. Now I gotta work on the privilege thing, bc statements growing up were “who do you think you are” “what makes you think your so special” “your too big for your britches””they were born with a silver spoon in their mouth”….etc all made being privileged a negative thing. But really, what good parent who could help their kid wouldn’t ?
Mmm, that's so good! I also found NY to be so lovely and the people so willing to help. We definitely attract what we are looking for and focusing on. Whether we focus on the positive or the negative, that's what we'll attract and "see".
Okay… this video definitely felt like my sign. First off it felt like you were talking about me throughout this video, as the majority of the points you hit were things I’ve struggled with and am trying to overcome, so your advice was excellent. But when you told the story about the guy who believed in God and the tugboat, I literally got chills because that was a story my dad told me when I was a child before he passed away, and when I was in high school, I drew a whole comic series about it. If that isn’t the greatest sign that I needed to hear this message then I don’t know what it is. Thank you so much for this💛✨
This reminds me of Barack Obama. Some reporter asked him how can someone Black and unknown think he can be President. I forgot what he said, but most of the country never heard of him, a year before that, and he became President.
It’s not always about getting what you want but how you treat others, other people locally and of other nations; whether you are in true service of others or you step all over people just to get what you want. It doesn’t matter how much you have materially, if you are a low value person you have nothing at all.
Thats NOT true! Idk how old you are but he was the Mayor in his city well before he was President. Second you may be too young to have seen him on Oprah when she said he should run for President he laughed and said no he will not run for President!
I loved this! So many creators make videos of a similar theme, but this one hit the hardest for me. Something so real and grounded about how you share what you share.
Thank you for the breakdown, I now realize I have been using this method since birth as I have been able to be in spaces and met people I would have never thoughts of. Privilege mindset is great to break free from all the conditional thinking.
I’ve always been that entitled person. You need a little entitlement and delusion to get there. I got myself a promotion because I saw the opportunity and I scheduled a meeting with everyone involved - I did not even think about whether or not I COULD do it, I just said, I want the job and I want this pay and I nodded my head to everything and I figured it out along the way. I book my flights before I even plan the itinerary because it will sort itself out. Everything has always worked out for me. It’s snatching the opportunity + being entitled + luck.
this is absolutely incredible and should be viewed by 100% of the population. I always tell my kids, you get what you expect and remember to dream big. "Act as if". You are speaking my language lady! Note: You should refine your thoughts and do a Ted Talk, or put this into a Amazon Book you can publish. Remember: Stay open to life - only you create your own boundaries. Love your mindset. You are probably too young to remember this but some might - whenever I was scared, I always said to myself "Pretend you are Erika Kane". p.s - I am sharing these tips with my kids - they don't believe me.
Aww, thanks so much!!! Please share with others who you think it’ll help. I love that you’re sharing that message with your kids! They will grow up and always have that in the back of their minds reminding them that they can go after what they want.
I had many opportunities I lost because I was blocking it. I was in the mindset that it's not right for me to use connections in order to get what I want when there are people out there without any connections and are working really hard. I felt that it wasn't right for me to grab an opportunity because I had a connection with someone. Now I realize, you need connections in life. That's why business minded people network with other people. It is because of the connections you make that brings more opportunities to you and to others.
Whoa. This is a great word sister. THANK YOU. God talking through you, for real. My parents created no opportunities for me, in fact they ran ahead and sealed doors shut, as well as siblings, coworkers, etc. But we know the Lord said a prophet is not without honor except in his own hometown and family. BUT GOD! In turning my life over to Him, worshipping Him, repenting and forgiving, I experienced HIM opening the doors. Your word today is a booster from Him to keep going. Love and blessings! 💟🙏
Thank you, I love this! I truly agree and I do. I wish more African Americans understood this. I have been self-employed since I was 31. I am sorry I did not start before 60. I am a 77-year-old female.
This might be one of the best videos I’ve watched on this app. AND it is right on time. I mean I’m shook at how timely this is. I think I’ve had a privileged mindset and lost it for a short period -but now after watching this I can say it’s back 100%! You are not a pastor but this was the Sunday sermon I needed!
Hahaha! Omg, thank you so much! It's powerful when something resonates with you at exactly the right moment and helps you reset your mindset. Recognizing that shift in yourself is a huge step, and it sounds like you're ready to fully embrace that privileged perspective again. Sometimes we just need that little spark to reignite our motivation, and I'm glad this video helped. 💛
I have a confession. This video popped up on my feed a couple of times and I thought....that doesn't pertain to me. However, I decided to listen to it just to see how outlandish it would be...lol!! Well, the joke is on me and I realized a couple of interesting and positive things about myself. Thank You. This was a wonderful take on the subject of priviledge.
I absolutely love this video. And Yes, I’ve been doing the plane ticket trick for a while.. it’s a wonderful first step you buy the ticket and things just work out.
My best friend told me to : To enjoy abundance with prosperity of life happiness what I deserve is to Believe and step out on faith and Do it !! I believe more of myself I can do it now ..To know that we can do whatever is in our mindset, step outside the box ..God will definitely show me the door is there to open the opportunities are endless with Faith ! I’m so happy for my friend. She stepped out on faith one night of waking up out of my sleep, and moved to the south two days later ..now it’s five years later ,she never looked back doing exceptionally well ❤ it’s all about having faith within your mind and in your heart, I am believing in yourself❤
I watch RU-vid every single day and have watched thousands of videos but it's no exaggeration to say that this may have been one of the most impactful videos I've ever seen.. literally as you were talking I felt my mind shift multiple times and I kept having to rewind and hear it again because my brain wasn't fully taking it all in... I was one of those student in school that could get concepts from the first explanation so this is an entirely new feeling for me lol . I don't know what changes are gonna come from this, but already I cannot thank you enough!
Wow, I’m truly honored! Thank you for sharing. I’m happy to hear that it was impactful! I look forward to hearing how it impacts your life. The realization changed my life immediately.
Facts 💯 I live my life that way because I am worthy and opportunities create themselves I believe we create our reality so go big or live a mediocre life 😊💃🏾🍾🥂
Absolutely loved this video so much. Made me have a profound realization that I don’t want to lie any more I just want to be my full authentic self and embrace my birthright pro Ella he and abundance .
This is a valuable perspective forreal. So many times I ask myself, "If I knew I was going to die 30sec from now, would I go ahead and make this decision, buy this thing, choose this option, make this call, send this email, speak this truth-- especially when I see that I have the means to do it materially or physically now?" The answer is always YES. If there is something else in the reality that says, "This has to be taken care of..." but it can wait or it's not a priority for me to figure it out, I let it figure itself out. Literally. Anything that "can wait" is usually something I can die now without caring whether I accomplished it. Someone else said, that if it's something that can wait, then it's NOT something you really want to DO anyway. And that really made me see my decision-making in a more CLEAR way. I love "privilege" and all conversation around it. It's great to find people who understand that individuals have to CLAIM privilege themselves instead of waiting on conditions or other people to hand it to them. People who understand privilege stay on top of it MENTALLY.
Love this Kristi! Definitely have experienced that once I decide on committing to a desire, then letting go of the details and trusting - it usually all works out! We don't have to over think and over plan everything. And sometimes even when we do plan it all, things change! So, I humbly leave the details to the universe and that has helped so much! And yes to going through the open doors. We do like to get in our own way sometimes, but we don't need to, and it's more grateful to accept the grace we've been given. Awesome message Kristi
You are so welcome and thank you!!! I’m glat it resonated with you 💛 It’s amazing how much smoother things can go when we trust the process and let go of the need to control every detail. Your perspective on accepting grace and being open to new opportunities is truly inspiring. Keep shining!
I absolutely love your energy, and I am operating in an abundance mindset and it's totally a game changer, I start living as though I already have it and things begin to align. New Sub. ❤❤❤
This is a perfect video. Thank you. I definitely had American privilege when I lived abroad in Asia. I learned to accept it and enjoy and appreciate it. Of course, white people had much more privilege there than I did (especially white males), but I was still thankful for the privilege and awesome treatment and help I received while living and traveling there. It’s okay for us to appreciate privilege and use it to our advantage.
I have heard the boat story before (although with a helicopter instead of an ocean liner), but what I loved about your telling was your final comment: "Get in the boat."
I am so happy and thankful that you and your wholesome, enriching, uplifting, soothing, affirming, relatable, and aspirational content found me. All the synonyms! Watching and listening to your videos has become part of the new "environment" that I am cultivating for myself. Sometimes, instead of tuning out during a walk with my usual playlist (which includes playing "They Not Like Us" a minimum of 3 times lol), I play one or several of your videos instead. It leaves me feeling inspired and thoughtful, and I thank you for being you ❤
