JESUS The corrosion on Tim's bars is INSANE! Love the Hambini call out! As for tools, I'm set. Having to work on my fleet of automobiles and race car helps with the surplus of tools. Probably have thirty 10mm sockets lying around, where I don't know but I have em! Fun vid Chris!
How could anyone have sacked Chris, watching this he's so concentrated, efficient and helpful to other team members he should actually be promoted to manager or something.
You’re well Bent!!!😂 Just done a Mechanic course with a local guy with a mate and I’m building my Emonda ALR with the same guy watching over my shoulder. All to give me more confidence working on my own bikes. Well done Pritch, knowledge is key and good luck with the MTB job, don’t forget you’ve always got your LBS if needed🤣😁😉 Really good video mate👍
I also have "acid" sweat....I have actually had a aluminum handlebar break off in just inside the break levers while sprinting as I pulled on the bars....NOW only carbon for me.
Chris, if you ever head up to Appleby again drop in, we’re in Temple Sowerby and have a great workshop. Well placed for GDF if you fancy a challenge, ask Cameron. P
I can tear down and build up a bike pretty well but the fine tuning stuff is difficult. You're right about having the right tools for the job. For the most part, I can make do with some cheap Chinese parts and a nice torque wrench so I can get things torqued to proper spec.
Great video Chris, loved it...funny as. I had a Sensa bike with 105 which also would never index, always clicking or noisy. Replaced pretty much everything to no avail, it would index ok on a stand but underload riding it the noise was there. The bike had to go.....
You think you drove a long way, I had to drive to Munich and back in the snow Today, Zurich Switzerland through Austria to Munich and then back. So no commiserations from me.
I get bikes in that have loose cassettes regularly in my shop, 40NM and a fresh crush washer is important. Also, over 40nm the threads can be damaged. It’s why it has a torque setting on the cassette, it’s not there for decoration.
@Jason Dorset Mamil Cycling thanks!. I don't do indoor cycling, but outdoor is bad enough in summer. The problem is, there's just no going back when you change bar tape. But even doing so frequently, the metal parts of brake levers are vulnerable. I'll do both my bikes this year.
Great video to show whats going on, but you guys are meant to be pro mechanics and you're clamping carbon frames, how many fractured frames? Not something you should encourage amateurs
@@chrispritch It's not aimed at you, more at bikeinn being the pros they should know better, bravo for giving it a go, hope you've learnt some useful tips
