Reviewing modified cars has its pros and its cons. When you take a vehicle and push it to its absolute limits it's only a matter of time before things start going wrong. This 800HP Subaru WRX STI hybrid motor setup decided it had enough while filming a car review. Thankfully Offtheline performance was there to save the day! With one sad end to the review and a single tow strap we were able to get it back.

I love subarus, but I’ve learned you can’t let subarus sit bc the coolant sits on the head gaskets and eats at them. So note to self if your gonna let a Subaru sit for a while drain the coolant.

I daily mine, but If I don't go anywhere for awhile every 2 days I run it to normal temp for a bit to let the juices flow, same thing when I start it up only difference I move when its above C on the gauge, I ease my acceleration.

@@VanillaWahlberg Well honestly I do believe it just more than the design itself. But thankfully the new FA24 is coming soon. The FA20 showed good potential but has a minor flaw. When the Ascent made it's release I have not heard anything bad from it's block. The new STi FA24L is going to be nothing short of a true successor. The EJ20 and EJ25 are more beloved than you think, it's UEL adds to charm for being such an old platform for like 3 decades. That being said I look forward to the new 2022STi and it's FA24L. Rumor has it the FXT is suppose to make a come back on this platform. I hope it happens.

Depends. Boosted stock gen 2 and gen 3 coyotes live comfortably/reliably at 750 wheel. Smurf is a gen 1 and has 700 wheel with over 100k miles.

The tuner for my EVO once said he was really jealousy of subaru tuners, because it is very profitable as those subarus need engine repair often and subaru owner won't give up even when the 3rd engine has gone.

A buddy of mine has an IAG long block rated for 800whp but kept his to 550whp only. All that money just to keep 500hp reliable. Yep that sucks but it is what it is. Brightside is he doesn't have any issues for 6 years now.
