Matthew, thank you for the great review as always. Among all good features, three-step gain control seems to be useful for me : an owner of Sennheiser HD660S2, 64 Audio Aspire4, Elysian Acoustic Labs Pilgrim and etc. I guess I found another considerable desktop amplifier under my budget.😍
Thanks for watching!! That’s a great collection. I’ve been looking to get my own Pilgrim for a little while now. Absolutely love that IEMs detail retrieval and overall sound signature!
I don’t have the TA-22. FWIW, since you referenced it extensively, my DCA E3 sound great on the iFi hip-dac 3 I picked up for $179. For comparison, they sound terrible on my $1400 Woo Audio WA7 with the volume maxed out.
Yeah, there are a lot of factors regarding things like output impedance and exactly how the power is delivered which can make a big difference in sound, particularly with lower sensitivity planars.
Thank you for a great review❗️🔆 Seeing Dita Project M makes me think I just took them for a vacation just with apple dongle and Ipad and it was so wonderful😂❤. I wanna ask Matthew did you hear Campfire audio Cascara❓Iam thinking about getting them mainly outdoor, you know fun bassy sound…🧐🙋♂️
I appreciate you watching! I’ve heard Cascara - it’s never been one of my favorites, but I can appreciate it for what it is. If you love a bass heavy, smooth, and fun tuned IEM, it’s a great pickup. I’ve had a lot of casual listens where I just pop them in, play some low end focused tracks, and just enjoy them for what they are. Although they don’t match with my tastes and preferences, I can see why someone would like to have them in their collection :-)
Yes thank you, when I am out and about, I actually like this kind of sound it's more of a grounded companion, in case of Cascara with quality drivers, that was the idea 😊🙋♂️❤️
