I have a 2022 F-450 with a 7.3 gasser. Love it. I have 16 trucks. All gassers. Sure, going up a hill with a lot of weight it will bog down but it still gets you there. 🤷🏼♂️
I got a 2018 f350 plati. I would disagree with the point of not getting a 350-450 because it can’t stand up to it. I do agree that ideally you should get a heavier model depending on how much weight you will have and how often. Secondly I deleted my 6.7 so fuel mileage is incredible. 3rd is I have a Texas pride that so I can leave it at a job and still have a truck to pick up more material/trailer for other projects. I like your perspective because you have several rigs so you don’t worry about running around in one truck for everything.
Gas powered medium duty trucks are definitely a viable alternative considering any new diesels' expensive repair bills and how finicky they are with emissions and so on, not to mention DEF.
The godzilla engine sure is a game changer. We have been looking for a f600 4x4 dump but the wait is about 18 months right now gas or diesel. Nice truck and great video!
I recommend the super 44 flowmaster resonator delete exhaust system 3 inch exhaust tip 5 inch tip S&B cold air intake with the pedal Commander and bully dog gt Platinum tuner with 91 octane tow tuning 5star
I still woulda went for the diesel. Diesel lasts longer, hauls/tows more, and gets almost double the mileage per gallon. But I do tree work. Either way that is a killer truck! Very nice dump bed
My experience with diseal vs gas is that diesel trucks are just better. They have more torque and in the long ran they are more economical when hauling heavy stuff. It makes sense gas efficiency is about 25 percent vs disel engine about 45 percent. Plus you will get about twice as much miles on a diesel engine vs a gas engine.
I just bought a 19’ 6.7 550 brand new dumpbody only 14k miles for only 64k. the new v10 gassers have terrible production issues. way less dependable than the newest gen 6.7.
This is a great video. Very informative, but really really entertaining. You should do a Tigren movie !! Really good video. Really. Looks like an awesome truck and probably makes absolute sense for your operation. It wouldn't make any sense for my operation what so ever.
There you go, not as much torque and a Diesel engine is meant to run for hours without a break. A diesel has better resale value and it can get 100s of thousands of more miles on the engine. Cost of diesel is shit though.
Why a gas? You own a truck it won’t last as long. I rather have torque and power to haul just my opinion. You say you want it more efficient but get gas ⛽️ doesn’t make any sense. I mean can someone explain to me. Maybe in California it cost $2 more per gallon throw it in the price and call it a day. No Bueno 😂
If I bought that truck, and rented it back to my business for $1000 a month. It would take 8.3 years to justify the cost and break even. Therefore for my operation it would not make my life easier.
