I do that with any used device I'm given (to keep, not borrow) Never anything interesting yet, usually just mundane stuff like pictures of their kids at the beach or Disney, and some bill reminders.
@@totallyworksperfectly5424 It was only available in the United States and had the Verizon carrier. It launched about 6 months after the normal iPhone 4, so they had time to fix antennagate.
I really hope you didn’t update any of these because some of these are running such old versions of software.. I have a feeling some might’ve been police auctions/repossessions or carrier recycling, all just sent off for auction.
These phones were likely collected from abandoned storage lockers. I purchase many lockers at auction, and it is common to find several old phones among the personal effects. I have a box full of them, but never considered them valuable until I stumbled upon this video. Thanks for the info.
13:30, yes you can plug a micro-usb into it because it's a Micro B USB 3.0 slot. It was meant to replace regular Micro B but USB-C as long as you didn't need the super-speed function, luckily USB-C caught on, I do see some external Hard Drives still using it though.
You can charge batteries w/o the phone. You can get a batter charger or you can cut a USB cable, take red (+) and black (-) wires and hold them on battery contact pads
13:07 gave me trauma flashbacks to years ago when wed have to sneak our phones to my school and my friend turned on hers in class and that LOUD. ASS. AT&T. JINGLE was so loud in that room it could probably be heard around the world. Immediately confiscated
I was going put my old phone that don't work in those cell phone kiosk recycling things you see at Walmart but I'm not cause I always wonder what happens to the photos, texts and private info when can reset the phone.....I never would want my private things out there
i *might* have the perfect batterry for the Blackberry. albeit, it's a different model (Curve 9320), but it's still a Curve, similar to the one shown in the video. perhaps you can test it out?
You should upload all the old content on the phones for everyone to view. It's basically a digital archive of days bygone and internet culture if you will.
I recently bought an LG Wing for $100. The last cool smart phone that was ever made and its one hell of a phone for $100. Old phones are an insane value on the used market.
the s 5 yes you can use a standard micro usb charger that weird proprietary was some samsung thing it transferred files faster then a standard micro usb
8:08 , the phone in this time stamp starts with a text saying "scp-2700"...scp-2700 is a computer console made by a Serbian scientist that is smart af and evil
It's scary how he bought these at auctions and there were people private things still on them, like what you were the type the sold people shit on the black web
It's possible to do an iCloud bypass on an SE I believe! You might wanna give that a shot if it is iCloud locked n whatnot. Granted you can't factory reset it afterwards otherwise it'll be locked again but at least it can still make calls n let you log in with your own iCloud account!
13:27 For those who don't know, the Galaxy S5 uses a *microUSB 3.0* port, which is a faster data transfer and charging version than the common microUSB 2.0 port. It's basically a standard microUSB 2.0 port with extra 3.0 pins in the square-shaped hole beside the main 2.0 hole, so, don't worry, *any working microUSB connectors* 2.0 or 3.0, will *fit* into Galaxy S5 (and any microUSB 3.0 devices) and can be used for charging, data transferring, AV output, and everything you normally do with USBs😇😇😇🙏🏻😎👍🏻
.... Do you know Jesus Christ can set you free from sins and save you from hell today Jesus Christ is the only hope in this world no other gods will lead you to heaven There is no security or hope with out Jesus Christ in this world come and repent of all sins today Today is the day of salvation come to the loving savior Today repent and do not go to hell Come to Jesus Christ today Jesus Christ is only way to heaven Repent and follow him today seek his heart Jesus Christ can fill the emptiness he can fill the void Heaven and hell is real cone to the loving savior today Today is the day of salvation tomorrow might be to late come to the loving savior today Romans 6.23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Mark 1.15 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Jesus
Being born in 2000, it was crazy to me to notice how fast phones switched from flip phones, keyboard phones, sliding phones, to smarthphones. It was insane when they became unpopular because i remember really wanting a flip phone and never got one, lol.
The fact that i born at 2006 and still understand this because i remember how long my mother and father using nokia till they changed My mother is longer tbh... I think she only change to android when i change my old android to newer one😂😂😂 (she use my old phone kekw)
Time does fly fast doesn't it? Back when i was little, having camera on your phone was the coolest thing. Then we got smartphones and android running like crap, crash all the time and some companies wouldn't even publish applications on android phones. Used to watch Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 4s comparisons lots of times on tube but couldn't own neither of them because poverty 😂 When nokia windows phones came up I thought they were gonna be the biggest new innovation like ios and android but sadly they failed. Also as someone born in 2000 we've seen tons of new innovations in such a short timespan unfortunately not many of us were lucky enough to have them.
i had a flip phone in high school! it wash through page plus and the phone itself was from like 2003 and didnt even have any cameras! and this was 12 years ago in 2012!
try checking if theres medical id set up on locked iphones like the red se, you can possibly get it unlocked by contacting previous owner and resell it for a profit
also, the first iphone with a bloated battery is an iphone 4s, you can tell by the antenna bands. the second one is an iphone 4, since one of its antenna bands is on the top.
Try to restore the iPhone SE via ITunes on PC / Finder on Mac. Maybe there is no activation Lock Or before you check if it has Medical ID or Emergency Pass or whatever is called. It maybe has the before owner contact informations in it
Doesn’t work anymore, I’m on the newest MacOS version and tried to restore my iPhone 5 with iTunes, it changed from actually useful to a music store Any help?
Yes, You can plug regular microUSB into the Galaxy S5. That connector, which I also have on my Galaxy Note3, is called something like microUSB 3.0. Because it has USB 3.0 speed. External HDD also used this type of connector.
Wow, that's so cool. I hope all of the phones were sourced ethically. Otherwise, phenomenal video. I'd love to buy and unpack a box of used phones myself some day! The skeuomorphic UIs were so rich and pleasant to use. Smartphones today are all boring and plain in comparison, back then it felt like you were really getting a bunch of cool and exclusive digital objects, features and games!
Still have my functioning Blackberry Curve. Loved it so back in the day. My Galaxy S4 is another fave of my oldies. Love this channel oh, Og kush is weed
3:45 the tar thing is actually melted plastic I think from that same phone, It happened to my parents ancient flip phone inside the headphone jack and around the edges of the hinge that made it open and close
I still have my MyTouch, IPod, and IPhone 5,6,7 & Samsung Galaxy OG.. I keep them in my drawer in a sealed container.. so many great memories on them, I loved the camera on my Galaxy back then.. before the touch screen keyboards, I could type fast without looking.. I can do it now, but man it’s a bit more difficult because of spell checks
I'm the same age as you and the 2nd Palm phone you showed was my first phone! The Palm Centro was released in 2007. Got it in 2008 for $30 on contract. Was great because it was a smartphone with a lot of games and could run emulators but didn't require an expensive at the time internet plan.
