But not just ANY Audi S8! This one has been parked for a year, only runs on 8 of it's 10 cylinders and has enough suspension faults that I could wallpaper my house with the scanner print-out. But who cares because it's a full size sedan with a Lamborghini derived V10 and when life throws you 8 out of 10 cylinders, you make lemonade... and also try to get those two dead cylinders firing.
This is a quick intro to the car. Sorry for the low quality video. Sometimes the difference between a video and no video is the ease of which I can get it produced. Today we get iPhone footage.

I have same S8 and after 300000km, it works like a violin. Air susp is very cheap to repair today, misfires too, if it is not a spark plug or coil, then it is an injector. Many smart diots told me to change all 100 injectors and I did not, only one. That was 3 years ago, all of them work fine until today. This car is a perfect machine for a guy that doesn't have two left hand, allmost everything is fixable, you just have to look a long time into a problem that you have, after a while it becomes easy cheap fix. If you want to spend 30k on that audi, that is easy too, you just have to go to Audi dealer and sky is the limit. I'm not planing to sell mine at least for next 100-150k km.

The running costs are a huge difference though. For an i8, the purchase price or lease payments (let's be honest, it's a lease-to-buy car with its odd depreciation curve) are high, but the daily running costs are closer to that of a Honda Civic. The S8 is the complete opposite.

In one of your next videos could you show in depth the front bumper while is off the car.. I have an a8 as a project and it’s missing the fog lights and I bought them but I can’t figure out what’s missing so I can install them. I think is some kind of bracket or something the fog light attached to it. Thanks

Oh man. The car was so broken I sold it and bought another. The new one is pretty much fully sorted now. The one in this video had some sort of serious issue. Either a balance shaft or something major out of alignment. The new owner drives the car but says it still has a major vibration.

I bought the car. Check my channel I have a few videos of it. I put in new tranny mounts, jhm lightweight crank pulley, exhaust mounts, feels way better , still has slight vibrations around 1,500 rpm’s and 3,500 rpm’s, tranny shifts good ,no check engine light and readiness is set , should pass smog, driven it about 3,000 miles since this It’s at 154,600 .. I removed two resonators and drive it around when not using my 4.2 . Actually right now I drove the S8 back to Las Vegas to bring my gf for her bday, driving back to LA on Monday. I was just thinking today of how badass and fun it is to drive. I have the 4.2 A8. the V10 really brings the chassis to life. I have a W12 I’m working on as well

Get the air suspension replaced both sides. Remember to put the car on Jackmode before you jack it up. This generation Audi A8/S8 is great. I put 44,000 miles on mines in under 2 years. Changed both air suspension front and no problem.

Had mine for 3 years, amazing car with only 1 issue since I’ve owned it. Although I do panic as soon as I hear even the slightest noise 😂🙏🏼

I didn’t! I sold it but bought another and fully restored it this past august.

had an audi a6 3.0tdi with 240,000miles and now an audi a8 4.0tdi , most reliable cars i have ever had and i have had all sorts. must admit the s8 is not something i would touch. s63 amg is my next one.
