Phil. You need to replace the Aux battery which is under the touch pad controller (I’ve done a video on my channel about how to remove this on an E Class and the A will be virtually identical). Once you do that then the car electrics will behave themselves as the auf battery ensures the car will go into park (hence the the flashing light in dashboard). If you RU-vid search a guy called Diagnose Dan (Dutch bloke but video in English) he has just had one of these in and changed the battery, so that’ll give you a guide👍👍👍
You sure that’s got a dual mass? I’d be doing some research first seems from the video it could be and engine mount that’s snapped or something. Couldn’t tell if it was misfiring or not on the video hmmmm
In my experience there is never a simple cure to jobs like this no matter how much you wish...if it had been easy fix it would have been sorted by the past owner ..good video tho
It’s in the centre console the touchpad. It is only in the passenger footwell in C and E class where fitted (mine doesn’t have one). Best way to check is too as scan the rescuy card QR code (B pillar or fuel flap) and it will tell you where it is 👍
@@ukcarflippers2220 yes in terms of architecture but maybe it’s for packaging reasons? If yours a manual gearbox car then it would sit where the gear-lever linkage etc would be.
@@tonygarlingewarren7456 Of course, i can do that, but i'd rather support the channel than just disappear and unsubscribe. We are constantly asked to "comment below" to help the algorithm. I'm sure Phil would rather hear what we think rather than just walk away.
