For what it’s worth, you might be able to adjust your cam settings so that you don’t see the flicker from the LED lights. Maybe you’ve heard that already though. Thanks for the show.

You can also help encapsulate asbestos fibers by scoring tile or drywall and spraying (well) the cut or damaged points with approx a 3 or 4 to 1 water and glue solution. My ex husband was certified for asbestos removal, and I suspect I may have forgotten something, but along with construction poly tuck taped to seal the space and a fan placed/sealed in a window or rough opening to the exterior with it positioned to extract fibers vs blowing them around the space, and along with the glue formula, could be used by those who are comfortable with removing their own tiles or drywall/plaster. Oh ya, and use disposable coveralls and proper dual cartridge face mask with filters with specific micron allowance for asbestos. Don't use the standard type with the little elastics that you pull over your head which are meant for nontoxic airborne dusts. We're all exposed to asbestos here and there naturally, but the main danger is for those who have had a lot of exposure.

I don't understand why you struggled so much with that window. If you're expanding the size, why not just cut out the wood/plywood that holds the window and then lift out the window in the attached bits and deal with detaching it later? At least it's out of the way and saving some time.

I don't know if this helps, but in the previous video he mentioned wanting to preserve the outside of the house as much as possible. He didn't want to damage the sheathing. Cheers!

The easy way to put that header in there depending on how big it is or how long of course would be a hydraulic bottle jack. The new building codes in Texas will not even permit you to use a 2 x 12 if you header is over 6 feet long, await to strengthen that header is to use solid piece of plywood, but I do like your Styrofoam.

I am replacing my cabin outside walls with plywood and tarpaper thick stuff and then batten 12inches apart ...Instead of the board batten and black particle sound board that is there now ...Because the winows are on top of the board and batten alot of gaps all over so want on pluwood instead ... Plus wire for electricity go from top down not thru walls so going to sprayfoam holes were wire come thru attic...Hope all this works well getting help with project in september or october 2024 less buggs ....

I recall Matt Risinger was also doing tearing apart when he saw dead rats and suddenly decided to just demolish everything and build a new house on the old concrete Hahaha, hope you end up going that way too.

I bought a house and found dry rot in the walls. So, I've torn out 2x4s, replaced insulation, and resealed exterior gypsum board that is used as the exterior barrier, which is covered by a brick wall. I'm wondering how to determine how much dry rot there is in the walls of the house without tearing out drywall every where. Do you have a recommendation?
