Well...I bought a new project, sight unseen off FB Market place while sitting around the pool in Mexico. In this video I go pick up one part of the project, and get it running. #firststart #classicford #ford4x4 #dentside #gen2bronco
Glad you're vacation and the wedding went well. I hope that Bronco shows up as well as that engine did. I'll believe it's a low mileage rebuild. Looking forward to following along and learning. Thanks as always ~ Chuck
Thank you Chuck, we had a great time at the wedding, right out on the beach, the evening was perfect for it. I'm hoping I haven't misjudged the condition of the Bronco, and it is close to what I think it is...but I bought it, so it's my responsibility. 🤑 I'm happy to have you along for the project. 👍
Alvin, First, I'm happy you and Beverly had a good time in Mexico and made it back safely. Good for you. Secondly, this was a cool video, both educational and entertaining. Good show, my friend. Regards, John
Thank you very much John, we had a great time, lots of laughs with friends, and plenty of food and sun. 🌞 You know what's it's like when making videos, you want to give details, but not over do it...it's a fine line between interesting and boring.🥱
Hiya Alvin! I’m glad everything went well in Mexico, and that you made it back. There is just something about starting a V8 on the ground that fun to me. My dad and I would do the very same thing to check it’s function and the kill it by “pickling” with marvel mystery oil. It’s good memories. Congrats on the new project! As always I look forward to your next video.
Hey Troy, It always makes me nervous to start engines out loose like this...but have never had one fall over, so I don't know why it makes me nervous. 🫣 I'm looking forward to the Bronco project, this one was so cheap, I really couldn't pass it up...let's hope there is enough to work with! Lol
Glad the trip was good Alvin. I love the new project you picked up. Looks like your in for a lot more metal work. I will definitely be watching when it comes in to see if your site un seen works out for you. Fingers 🤞
You look tan and rested. I had three Ford pickups over the years All had the 302. The last one was a ,79. The engine was ok. But I found low milage 302 out of a late eighties mustang. Did the usual cam, lifter rockets, head job, bores were standard so we're the rod and main journals. It was a fun project for me and my two sons. You will find many of the seventies bronko parts inter change with the series F series. Good luck!.... Walt
Hey Walt, It was a nice break from winter. 🌞 This Bronco will be my 3rd 70s F-Series ford, all had different engines, the first was a 360, one 300, and now a 400...all equally hard on ⛽. Lol
Hi George, I'm looking forward to working on it, but the Thunderbird is still my favorite project. Yes, it comes with an engine hood, but I also have a spare one for the 78-78 F-Series.
