About once or twice a year I got out my 5 gallon sprayer and filled it with Thompson's water seal, the clear one. You can use the colored ir tinted stuff if you want. Anyway, it does a fantastic job of preserving the wood deck without making it slippery or slimy. Some guys put used motor oil on their deck but don't do that. When I sold my 2005 Doonan they asked if I ever used the trailer because it looked new. Thompson's works great. 1 5 gallon bucket will do the trailer with a sprayer. I also buy black rustoleum and routinely brush off the rust and spot spray areas that need a little paint. Really help keep the rust from taking hold. Nice trailer. I owned a XL stepped and that thing was bulletproof. Doonan and XL make good products. Be well!

I pulled a lowboy back in the 70s with a flip up tri-axle for a few years, the only problem was finding somebody to flip it upside down on the back end after I unloaded.. It saved on tire wear and toll road costs that charged by the axle. Largest load I ever hauled with it was a Koering triple 6 track mounted backhoe; 11’9” wide, my total gross weight over 120,000 lbs if my memory is correct

Man what a nice piece of equipment. I bought a new trailer myself as well bit more complicated though... But the 2 cm for turning is enough. I think removing the aluminium mudflaps in the front would give your larger body enough space? Really nice hope to see lots of movies with it

Nice trailer. You may want to remove the mud flaps off the back of the tractor. You don't need them with a trailer hooked-up.

Fantastic. There's one coming in 1/14 scale, and maybe a closer inspection of the way it couples (yeah there's two ride heights, but how does it actually FIT together?) and the way the rear axles are sprung would be great. (just asking)

The extra pins on the back are so you can do a second trailer if you're up in the Northwest, Utah, or Nevada which is a really slick feature I think :D

i've ditched every trailer tire and wheel under a 19.5 long ago. Since moving up to a 19.5 or 22.5 i've yet to have a blowout in over 3 year years. With them damn 16, 16.5, and 17.5s never made it more than 3 months without a blowout and a lot of down time trying to find one while out on the road. Every loves has 19.5 and larger on hand. so do most road side services.
