Unfortunately, a lot of folks who are not in "major farm country" get stuck with crappy Dealers, near them. Dealers who think they're the only game in town tend to treat customers poorly, have crappy service, and are not competitive, price-wise. Then they complain about on-line deals, and wonder why? Nice tractor you picked, too.

Congratulations I'm fond of MFs myself. I had a similar experience with a couple of local dealers. One refused to start one for me and didn't even want to talk to me (they're out of business now) the Kubota place refused to show me an actual tractor, just quoted me prices (another time lied to me about zero turn mowers) oh and the john Deere place under the previous management they refused to show me a tractor too, the salesman kept insisting I really just needed a zero turn

I sure like that Massey. I think you got one really nice tractor, my friend. Beautiful machine and you scored. Sorry you had poor service from your local tractor dealer with his attitude & condescending remarks. Those are the kind of things that turn-off any prospective buyer. I sure like the attitude of the dealer who sold you this fine machine. Since you had a bad experience with the local dealer, do you have a Massey shop that can handle your maintenence work, etc? Stretch, if that tractor has the screw on style fuel filters there’s is a special crowfoot wrench that grabs the ring on the filter. It’s like 10 bucks and save so much frustration.

I worked for a guy who had a 4710. I wasn't fond of it. It was a decent chore tractor. Not a heavy puller and was gutless for 100 hp. And it consumed more fuel than the 596 massey he had. That being said, his 4710 had a wiring harness issue. he had a 5611 dyna 4 as a loaner tractor waiting to get it back from the dealer. I instantly fell in love with that dyna 4 transmission. Smart and smooth, and with that engine always had plenty of torque. To bad he had that for 2 weeks

I have bought 5 new Massey's from that same dealer over the last 6 years. They sell tractors at great prices for sure but thats all they do. There is absolutely no service after the sale. After about the 10th time of being told by their parts department that they will call me back and never doing it I had to write them off. Thankfully a new dealer opened up almost as close to me and they are amazing! Good luck with the new tractor and working the bugs out of it. We love the Massey's and after you get it all figured out you will have an amazing tractor that won't even break a sweat doing what you do.

I dont have a Massey but I believe that's a good one. I quoted one of these about 3 years ago and my dealer wanted ~$95k. It was a little more than I wanted to do at the time but I wish I had.

Nice . Sure it's definitely worth the investment in it . Hopefully they have by now diled in the def and emissions. Early semis regen and dpf were constant problem on our semis . You sized it right I have 6 acres and most is pines which i only take and mow . Many people were supposed that i only got a 21 hp bobcat tractor and loader . It does everything for my property I want it to do with easy it's not to heavy that it sinks in the softer part of my property stronger enough to pull downed trees

That's awesome dude it looks like you got a really good piece of heavy equipment this time not that the last one wasn't okay it just had a lot of flaws from being improperly set up glad you got something decent but when it don't start those initials don't stand for Massey Ferguson just remember that the old ones were cussed at profusely when they didn't start

I've got a Challenger version of the same tractor with a Perkcapiller engine. It replaced a 5000 series Massey. I've been really pleased. Same loader it was dealer installed grey paint. QUICKE branded .

The loader is made by ALO. You cn buy a 3 point hitch quick hitch, makes life easier. Gorgeous tractor.

Youll love it. I bought a 2018 MF 5711 last summer and I love it. The only tractor I have to compare it to is my Uncles JD 6105. The couple things I like better about his, cannot overcome the 20k difference. Ill be interested in your views on it. DLH Farms had a 5711, Im not sure if hes posting much anymore. But he had good insight on his.

That Massey is a sweet tractor. I’ve always been a fan of their stuff. Not sure what motor yours has but the older Perkins tractors were pretty tough in my opinion.

Unfortunately after the 5400 series Perkins is gone. Emissions related. Perkins didn’t want to comply which I completely understand. So, only across the pond these days. My 393 has a 4.236 Perkins and I swear to you I don’t think there’s a better 4 cylinder. A little over 80 horse on the pto. I had a newer Deere 6330 with about the same power and it was almost useless. It pulled a 10 foot discbine ok but as soon as you get on a hill it just killed it. Struggled with a baler too. The 393 pulls the shit out of that same mower. It just chugs right along

When I was shopping for my tractor, I looked at all the comparable brands. In my book Massey and John Deere rated the best. For strictly dealer support reasons I went with the deere but if I would have had bad luck with this deere it was going to quickly get traded off on a massy

What did you deal with? I think the last good Masseys were the 5400 series. Seems like these new ones just don’t hold up. I’m a Massey guy, I want to like them but I just keep hearing all this shit. I sat in a 7 or 8S at the national farm machinery show and it felt cheap as fuck! I was thinking, if they’re gonna make a $400k+ tractor this cheap then what are their utility tractors like?

I would guess you got this in Ohio. They have great regulations protecting the consumer from unethical charges. I’ve traveled 450 miles one way twice to get 2 new vehicles the last 3 years. Saved over $5000 each time. How is your space inside the cab? Enjoy your new investment.

Why did you I go with Massey? We have a huge AGCO dealer and their reputation along with with AGCOS equipment continues to favor huge farmers. A lot of unhappy customers in 2023.
