That's funny, in the tunnel. I too, have tunnels everywhere in Hampton Roads Virginia. I have the X5M and I like to put in "M Mode" in the tunnel, not has throaty as the SVR. I'm in the process of looking for a nice used SVR.

I have one of these and only ever drive it round town and my average is 22mpg

I have exactly the same SVR and will disagree with you on a couple of points! Number one is you stated it was 510 hp when in fact this one has 550hp! Secondly I get way better gas mileage(yes I live in Canada) than you have stated ( I have actually owned 2 SVRs) and how we calculate our fuel consumption is by haw many litres per 100 kilometres! On a run ove an 8 hour drive through the Canadian Rockies going up and down mountain passes most of the way I averaged 8.4 to 9.4 litres per 100 kilometres. That is a truly amazing glow gas( yes petrol to you guys!) and it is always consistent! Around town I average around 11-14 litres per 100 kilometres which I find pretty darn good! To give you another example ,I owned a RAM TRX 6.2 Supercharged V8 Hellcat motor……around toen25-27 litres per 100 kilometres………now that is bad!

Yeah these SVR are utter scrap . Poor build quality & questionable reliability never mind shocking mpg . Plus there getting stole every 2 mins too & prices are dropping like lead in a balloon. Jlr are a laughing stock of a company
