I Bought a Traxxas UNLIMITED DESERT RACER | Unboxing & 1st Run 

One big thing to toss out is that spacer with the 2 screws where you plug in the battery. You will have more space for your battery cables and an easier time getting your cover back on. I have had my UDR for a good over 3 years now? I still love it. Great Trophy Truck!

I just got a UDR not long ago. I gotta say it is so fun to drive around in the dirt, rocks, or any other off-road terrain! Great footage, and hope you enjoy your UDR.

I understand weight transfer but the rear looks to be way too soft. It’s most of the way down in the stroke of the shock just driving it. Then when it his a big bump it bottoms out then kicks the ass end up. Maybe some thicker oil in the shocks might help.

Own a Red Cat gen 7 pro, Traxxas big foot with brushless set up, Red cat Everest 1/10 rock crawler, Arrma Senton brushless S2 set up and now a UDT 4s bought from my young neighbor(41) who has generously helped me with knowledge and parts 4/14/2023. Now Age 80 and for the life of me do not understand people my age setting are their ever growing butts when they can enjoy the company of young people smart and fun to be around in this sport.

LOVE my UDR. Need to replace front sway bar. It finally broke! Got the new one just haven’t put on yet. Out of 30 or so newer hobby grade RC’s, this is top 3 for me.

It’s bad ass for straight desert runs with no jumps. If you try to jump trash break easy. Not a basher. But for scale the best looking. I own o too.

Honestly I like the traxxas udr. the look there is no other rc that you have that distinguishes it. it's like seeing a real trophy truck, everything is almost perfect. only always in my three udr that I have had. I don't like that when you're coming at 45mph and you want to turn right or left. it flips over easily that's my only reason i don't keep them and i sell them. 🤷🏻

Good video. I want to add the light bar. Do you need to remove it to take the body off or on?

It's definitely a great truck. One recommendation I can strongly give is change that stock servo. Other than that, truck is solid.

I wish Arrma would do a the real suspension set up for the Mojave rather than the 4 traditional spring set up. I’ll admit I’m not a fan of Traxxas just because of the way they do things trying to force people that don’t know too much about RC and mods to only buy there parts. Just some of the prices are crazy and I think I’m yet to watch a video with a Traxxas car in made by a popular RU-vid channel for RCs where they haven’t complained about the Esc and or motor and then swapped them out for a Hobbywing/Castle system or the likes of. Back to the Mojave, (went a bit off topic there) I have to say when u see these two cars running side by side the handling of the Traxxas compared to a real Trophy truck is just so much more realistic towards the real thing. And it just looks epic the amount of travel it has when u hit the gas or brake hard, plus just like the real thing it lifts the inside front wheel cornering and the Arrma just doesn’t do that. I really want one but I just won’t buy a Traxxas so I really hope in the future Arrma do redesign the rear shock set up to make it more realistic. It’s such a shame. And it goes without saying it would have to be way stronger and cheaper than the Traxxas. Sum it up up, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, your vids are in my eyes the most visually pleasing vids out there for colour quality and general cinematic quality. Brilliant video dude. Don’t like there’s no big sends but that’s not why I like the vid. Sick vid, but shame it’s a Traxxas and not an Arrma with proper suspension of a Trophy truck ❤️😎👍👊🤘🤔🤔🤔

The hobbytown usa Dallas manager stole thousands of dollars worth of my RC's years ago. I hope that horrible franchise goes out of business. I only shop small local shops around the US.
