I work on these at a maindealer, while you have the front end off you would be wise to change the aux belt, the front coolant tank is for the charge coolers and the rear tank closest to bulk head is for radiator. Also the wiring plug on the n.s.f be careful otherwise you will end up with errors. If at any point the mileage is flashing something needs proxy alignment. Need any more info just ask and good luck with the build
Chris my heart skipped a beat when I seen a RU-vidr had finally attempted a rebuild of a Quadrifoglio Giulia. There will be plenty of clever people with no personal experience telling you how good or otherwise they are, but as an owner I can testify that when you put her in race mode on a sunny day and rip a big ol fart on the upshift with all 500 rwd brake (probably 800 by the time you’re finished with it) clinging on to the tarmac for dear life…….well, there’s nothing else in the world like it. Have fun, I am going to enjoy this 🙏 PS if you change the wheels ave a look at some lightweight forged tecnico style, they look great on this car.
Appreciate this comment. I don't own one, I don't plan to but genuinely loved the car but it always had negative reviews especially about electronics. It's nice to see something positive about it.
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO HAS TAKEN ON AN ALFA. Far too many people just follow the norms of merc, bmw Audi etc and don’t even bother to consider an Alfa. Thank you.
Your selection of cars is impeccable. Well done. Reminds me of Mat before he focused more on supercars. Stick to these type of cars, I think this genre is left wide open for you now.
Agreed, Matt is flying, cars are insane, and love watching his content. The higher end of affordable is a missing niche though. Also, I was really looking forward to matts old BMW, if you could get a solid 90s motor, golf, Audi coupe, something like that, and drag it into the now, I’d love to see that.
Was going to comment the same thing- but this is an area people aren’t focussing on. I’m looking at buying a Quad so this is great to was - far more relatable
Finally someone taking on a Giulia QV. I'm fed up of Audi's and Beemas, plus i'm an Alfista so a little biased but you have earned yourself a new subscriber .Looking forward to seeing and hearing it tear down the road
Thank you, LITERALLY THANK YOU. This is one of my dream cars and I've wanted a youtuber to bring it on their channel and the lord has answered my prayer!!! YOU ARE THE LEGEND
Previous QV owner here! The batteries are shocking on these to say the least, mine could be sat untouched for 3 days max and battery would flag up as low. Overall incredible cars though would buy another in a heart beat 🙏🏼 looking forward to seeing this finished
I love the fact that you get different cars, not the usual ones. Hope someday you’ll get a SLK or CL AMG Mercedes, or even a BMW M6 e63 version. Good luck
You saved an absolute fortune on the parts. The bonnet and front splitter cost thousands brand new, especially as the front splitter is active… I’ve got a Giulia QV, and I’m always careful about catching that front splitter on anything.. you’ll love it when it’s finished. They go like hell.
Definitely sketchy pricing though. Might want to check the parts for VIN stickers. It would be a shame for the car to be subject to vehicle forfeiture because it has stolen parts on it.
@@mathiasnkristensen ttotally - all that for £3.7k? The bonnet, lights and splitter are worth that alone, before all the rest. The advert/company he bought them from is still on eBay at the moment, other bits they're selling are from Range Rovers, AMG Mercs and S/RS Audis....from what looks like rented storage. But it's fine, he has a receipt ;)
Great choice. Have a Stelvio QV in Australia so I know you are going to love driving that beast. While it is disassembled, I suggest you change the serpentine belt because the only way to change it is to disassemble the front end. Might as well put a Sprint air cleaner in it as well. If you want to keep it and get the most out of it, get a Squadra tune for the engine and transmission…makes it a lot more drivable in all modes, without being mental. There is also a tune for the suspension to mimic the GTAm, and from all accounts, transforms the ride quality. Enjoy the build…I will.
Welcome to Alfa Quad ownership Chris! We have had a couple on our channel! One thing to be aware of, they are very easily nicked! Make sure to get a ghost fitted or a metal plate behind the radar on the front of the car!
I was surprised by your choice! It's a magnificent car out of the box! Congratulations! It's great to see the growth of your channel and in the company of a great friend! I can assure you that in a short time you will have half a million subscribers!💪👌
US Giulia QV owner here, love the car and stoked to see you rebuilding one! You got the deal of a lifetime on those parts, the bonnet alone would be close to $10,000 in the US, and the front splitter another $3-4,000.
No airbag damage which is really good even the brake discs looking good condition if there were broken it will cost a lot of money because they are carbon drilled ceramics which are very expensive headlight bin bumper bin crash bar bin radpack bin very nice car by the way I would have it in red because white can get dirty very easy keep them coming I love to see the big SUV Alfa Romeo on the channel next
Woohooooo, finally!!!!! I’ve been waiting and looking forward to you rebuilding an Alfa Romeo Giulia. Good luck and enjoy the beautiful Italian piece of engineering 🎉
At last my dream car on the channe !! Just bought a gulia myself & absolutely love it, can't believe nobody else has featured one yet, beats any German car hands down for style, character & feel good factor, looking forward to the build chris & well done on taking the gamble on something different 👍
I had a Guilia Veloce, loved it, the best car I have ever owned! Always wanted a Quad, so happy to see this car getting some recognition on youtube, far too many BMW and Merc projects
I think the Alfa is a great project choice. Notoriously overpriced when new so ideal for your needs and I’ve never seen one rebuilt. I tell you what though, that unit of yours is vast 😂
An amazing car, the car of my dreams, finally there is someone who brings this beast back to life, well done, you will enjoy it, I recommend putting a full GTAm kit👏👏👏👏
Hi Chris I'm new to the channel and this looks very interesting. Just some feedback but don't get too carried away with the musical montages, we are here for the dirt and grease, failures and successes,
*Purchasing a stock may seem straightforward, but selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. I've been working on expanding my $210K portfolio for a while, and my primary obstacle is the lack of clear entry and exit strategies. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated*
*The strategies are quite rigorous for the regular- As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off*
BEven with the right strategies and appropriate assets, investment returns can differ among investors. Recognizing the vital role of experience in investment success is crucial. Personally, I understood this significance and sought guidance from a market analyst, significantly growing my account to nearly a million. Strategically withdrawing profits just before the market correction, I'm now seizing buying opportunities once again.
I lost over $70k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Wonghuatrades
so happy to finally see my favorite brand being restored to its finest- wait until you go for the first drive- you will keep this car forever. side note- DO NOT upgrade or tune the engine, it's perfect as it is . God bless- can't wait to see the next episode.
To be honest this has become my favorite channel, interesting builds, nice length videos, cool editing, no cheezy jokes.. Good pace uploading new content..Not to name any names but getting better than some other youtubers! Good job !! Greetings from Belgium
Yes SLIX love the Alfa and different from other content creators. It’s Italian and fragile and full of drama. That engine is sensational fair play. Good luck bro
Chris great move with new garage... Many thanks for another great content, watching U and Mat having fun watching U doing both. Waiting for a special cars to rebuild. Have a gooden 🤘🤘🤘👍
Really enjoying your channel chris. So bored of people moving over to unachievable super cars. You choose some excellent motors and make them entertaining without shrieking and laughing 😂
I daily drive a base Giulia and I’ve tracked a Quad. Alfa hit the ball out of the park with these cars, they are so fun to drive and mine has been bullet proof.
I was looking at getting a Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce 276bhp. Known for electrical problems. So decided to get a Bmw F36 GC 2019. Always enjoy your vids. Great work.
Brroooo this is my dream car. Great choice. Someday i will fix this car too. Upgrading my working space to get back to car repairs! Wish to hit same level in near future !
