This was nerve-racking.. 😬😬😬 The entire video, I kept thinking..."BE CAREFUL!" 😳 So many items that I understand you didn't realize, had value. But, please, take it easy with the old stuff! Some are so rare. Glad you found a good unit, and I hope these treasures found good homes.

Dear Wade Adventures, I have watched many a storage unit groups and for the most part I have been appalled at the smut, foul language and/or money hungry ingrates that are showing up on RU-vid. If any one deserves to be blessed, it's your family. You truly have feelings for the people that has lost their possessions yet, you know that you are running a business and life goes on. Thank you for being a stand-up family that stands for their beliefs and you will be continually blessed. And to you Grandma Adventures, kutos to you for a son that makes you proud.

FYI the children's oak Wakefield rocking chair is actually not vintage, it's antique. So a tad older than you originally thought. They are worth $549 to $889 each dependent upon its condition. So that was an awesome find. BTW just stumbled on your channel and subscribed because I love the mother son dynamic. Your mom rocks, but I'm pretty sure you already knew that. I'm looking forward to your next upload. Great content.👍😊

Your mom’s a sweetheart and it warms my heart how much you show her respect. God bless you on your adventures.

It's interesting to see in the comments how many people have found and viewed this during our Covid-19, pandemic quarantine. Thank you for being respectful to the original owners and not showing the insides of photo albums. Thank you for handling these items with care. I'm hoping this couple just never had any kids, and that's why this got left behind. If the owners did have adult kids, I don't understand why they couldn't take a tiny break from their lives to show some respect to their parents belongings! Respect Your Parents Adult Children Out There!! They deserve that Honor!!✨

And what if they weren't good parents? Honor and respect are EARNED, not automatically given. There are a lot of abusive and neglectful parents, some of them even murder their kids. Those people don't deserve respect.

This video reminds me of a time when my husband and I had the opportunity to clean out homes after estate sales. We could do what we liked with the items, but we had to take everything, including the garbage. One particular home sticks in my mind because as in this unit, there were several boxes of photographs and letters - some from the WWII era. I couldn't believe that a family would leave those behind on purpose. It took me several months, but I managed to hunt down a family member who was overjoyed at the find and spent a few hours with me over tea telling me the family story and going home with her memories of a beloved family member. I even took her to my storage area and offered to her that if there were any special dishes or other items from the home she was welcome to take them. I'm so glad that you are so respectful to do something similar to what you have here. Also, quit hassling mom! She's doing a good job and she knows a thing or two...

My father in law just passed away recently and one of his sons said to his mother, "Mom just call someone they will come pick up all of that junk". I almost had a stroke......I almost screamed, "NO, that was your dads livelihood". The mom of this man, the wife of my father in law, was so hurt that he didn't want anything from his dad's stuff..... Please people, love your parents things. Look over them, remember times you had with them, cherish those things.

i get it. things are just things & hoarding is a problem. most people just put the things away in boxes & never look at them anyway; like this lady with the storage unit. but i would say, mom lets try to give these things to charity so other people can make use of them. & keep a few things that have a special meaning for you & display them.

@@m.t.426, true in many cases. Actually most of the time. But with vintage stuff like electronics tubes that are specific to an application, with patience waiting for the right person to come along needing one, you can really do quite well. I have a very good friend that has accumulated a very large inventory of vintage parts and pieces like this by dismantling broken vintage equipment and the numbers he gets for most of what he sells is quite a compelling argument to his wife to come along for the ride on weekends to go hunting for broken or worn down vintage equipment of all kinds from sewing machines and victrola’s, to old letter press or machine shop equipment. He really does rake in a very impressive retirement income that is completely attributed to selling vintage parts. These tubes are an extremely popular item that draws the high end of the profit map, ESPECIALLY if they are the specific type that music amplifiers are spec’d to use. For those amp building folks creating or modifying a tube driven unit, they will pay a small fortune for true vintage tubes to get the absolute perfect tone from that amplifier!!! If you have ever listened to the difference between a Hammond B3 playing through a vintage Leslie amplifier using either new style or vintage tubes, you would well appreciate why they spend that small fortune. Awesome sound with a noticeable difference in warmth in the tone. 👍🏻😎👍🏻 Wow, lol. Went off on a bit of a rant there for a moment, lol!! 🤣🤣

The black box that opened and folded out with all the tubes inside it looks just like the case the tv repairman would walk into our house with when he came to repair our tv in the ‘50’s and 60’s. Back then a tv was an investment and like a piece of furniture. When it quit working the tv repairman was called. He would open up the back of the tv, and often replace a tube inside it with one like in your box.

My father built a lot of his own equipment, he also was a T.V. repairman for Sears for 35 years

This broke my heart. 💔 This is why I spent one year going through my folks house. Found a lot of same things. Well taken care of because they went thru the Depression and great pride in every dollar earned. This person probably earned 5.00 a month when they started out adulthood. So to see extended family not caring enough to pay storage or to take home and sort through breaks my heart 💔 I am hoping they will be pleasantly surprised (did not know about unit) when you return the heirlooms to them. Probably got put in storage when they went to nursing home or passed away. Guarantee owner did not willfully put into storage. There is a huge difference between making money off the material items and morals returning family heirlooms.... Photos, Family Bible, Military honors/pins/flight log/flag, etc.. There may even be money hidden in books as folks did back then. I know you will lead with your heart/morals while going through and posting. Feel like this may have been WWII Veteran from age of contents. PS Ralli Roots is my weekly watch. Ran across you first time today. You will be future watch. You and Ryan both sound like respectable, very likable guys. Appreciate your words had respect for these treasures. Thanks also for motivating me to got through my stuff and get heirlooms to my family ASAP. Nice guy. Great channel. Wishing your family and everyone watching your channel love, peace, joy, abundance, and gratitude. 🙏🏻✝️💟☮️🙌🏻

From my estimates, there were no less than 2 setups of "Ham" radio equipment. Amature radio is short wave and has been instrumental in emergencies and disasters. Due to the nature of the signal, it bounces off the ionosphere. Thus being able to communicate when cell towers are down. Messages have spanned the globe due to the "Ham" community passing on important messages. A couple vehicle mountable CB radios were in one of the boxes. CB (Citizen Band) clubs still exist and people still use them. Scanners both table-mounted and handheld were also seen in this video. Besides listening to the police bands, airport tower traffic, fire rescue, and marine/ shipping frequencies are popular to listen on scanners. At least one multi-band radio receiver was also on your video. Shortwave can be intercepted on multi-band radios as well as NOAA weather frequencies. I suggest doing image searches on items you don't know anything about. A handy feature on google.

Great score. I am tipping that you got X20 on investment just from the HAM radio stuff. There's easily X2 to 3 in gold and jewelry. Probably X5 on antiques and misc. The vintage electronics that aren't HAM is probably X1. Yes this was a long video, but the real work starts now researching what you have. I seen a couple of pieces of art that could be high dollar returns as well. Looks like you hit a proper home run on this one.

It's so true. I found an old Bible with an address & name. It was a small town in Idaho, but I found one of the man's great grandson. He was so happy he cried because there were little notes in it & even a note saying he was praying for his great grandson cuz he was born to early. Priceless. When my dad died his wife didn't contact me at all. I didn't want any monet, just one personal item he wore. It's the sentimental value that so important & although so many ppl don't care about family. Some still do. It's a sacred thing so many folks don't value anymore. And it breaks my heart💔 bless u for respecting yr mom..my mom was my best friend and I know she prays for me... I miss her so much
