As far as the China tea cups go....It was the thing to do...Pick a certain type of flower or bird or whatever and collect as many similar ones as possible...They weren't supposed to match.. The variety was the intention.. or so I was taught in the early 1960s by my Auntie! ❤
My heart aches for the people who so lovingly packed the things in the storage bin-surely they thought they were coming back. So sad they lost all of their things.
@@helnbak9372you can only buy storage lockers when they have been defaulted on and it’s not just a month and the business owners have to go through a process to sell the contents
I’m thinking someone might of died during Covid. He needs to research these items he knows nothing about any of his. Remember you have glassware out. That’s not old! Get an appraiser.
I agree. Highly disrespectful of items. Stuff that was made made in the 60s and 70 is there such greater quality than today's items. They really should just draw some dollar signs in this guy's eyes. Clownish
This upsets me, other people's lives. I just don't like the disrespect of the items tossed aside when opening. Some of the items are beautiful. They meant a lot to someone. I think people forget this was someone's life. It's all about how much they are worth
I’m sitting here yelling at my iPad about the way he’s just throwing the items around. Glad I’m not there because we’d be in a heck of argument over the way he’s handling things. I think I need a drink about now 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🥃🍹
Those two green boxes of liquor are vintage and sell for about $700, it was bottled in the 60's and 70's. They're not being bottled anymore and are hard to find.😮
If its real... they are HEAVILY faked. You have to consider that C Jere wasn't a real person. Its an art house, so whoever made the piece signed it, so there are many different handwritings who signed over the years. It made it so basically anyone could make a fake and sign it to sell as real. If you don't have provenance, you will need to do some homework. Compare construction techniques to known originals, exact match it from one of their old catalogs, measure gauge of the metal used, etc. Great find if it isn't fake.
Omg, this guy treats this treasur like Plastic!! Sits it all on a table!!! Knock one over and they're all worthless!! My God, I would treat all this with absolute respect and care!!!
you have a bin previously owned by connoisseurs mate, please don`t open any of those bottles they could be six figure almanac brandy $100 a bottle, you`ve hit the motherload.
Also wa t to sa that I love yourmother. What a personality and she is sharp with her comments. I laugh and laugh with her. What an asset to your channel,. She looks like she never meets a stranger.❤
I wasn't going to watch this because it wasn't my thing but I do love antiques, but I really enjoyed watching you open this especially when I heard y'all saying you were giving stuff back to the family! Much Respect to y'all! Thank you
YOU HIT THE JACKPOT GUYS!!! The liquor NEVER goes bad. You can use it to perform surgeries. Pour it on the wound and down the throat to disinfect and for pain. PLEASE DO NOT OPEN THOSE BOTTLES!! And the bowls are also worth a fortune!! The pink glass you passed up so nonchalantly is probably depression glass. It can be very pricey if you have the right piece. You guys went all fuzzy on the tools. Those tools are Pennie’s to the liquor and the sculpture you guys have. This is totally a goldmine of a storage room!!
Wade please, stop repeating your self.you should let Ashley do the filming and comatary she knows things u don't. And stop grabbing stuff out of boxes it's so rude,to Ashley .most of us have time to wait for them to be revealedn
Whoever owned that storage unit, they owned a bar and bad luck came an they closed their business, probably they even passed away. Very sad but nice find!
When you open old boxes wrapped with newspapers you need to read the date of the papers for us please. Thanks Wade. You did very very well on this locker. You should research a lot of the stuff to find their value. This stuff will make a awesome auction.
Marvellous unit, it’s unfortunate that Wade who has been doing this work for many years, does not do any research or even watch RU-vid videos from people who could educate him in much of what he finds, even if he watched one video a day he would eventually learn more and financially benefit from this.
I agree. I think if you’ve been doing it this long you should know by now about most items you’ve found. I’m on this side of the screen and never bought a storage locker and know more of what he’s got than he does. His wife also knows more than him and he doesn’t trust her opinion or camera skills. He should judge her less and let her do more. It’s frustrating to watch and being with a narcissist for 16 years, some of their interactions are triggering for me. Not subscribing and not watching anymore videos. (I watched 2). Nice finds thought. 🤷🏻♀️
You could contact an auction house and get a bid for them to sell the pieces because you probably have at least ten grand, but I suspect there might be more. They might laugh you out the door, but they might actually be able to help you get top dollar!
Seriously, the further in you get the more I think you should call Sothebys or Christies. Wow, I worry you’ll need the buyers who really know the value and are willing to pay. Yes, I could be wrong because I’ve really don’t know anything. But, would it hurt if they laughed in your face? Plus, you’ve done many of these and this is the first time I’ve thought that!
That is going to be like my things after I am dead and gone.. I have been collecting things similar and different for a certain type of store that I wanted to have after I retired.. but because of the internet? It will never happen... So I will probably pack my things away and put them in a storage locker... and pay ahead for awhile.. Then my cool things will be auctioned off... Perhaps someone else will love my eclectic items that go with my personality...❤
You shouldn't open these bottles of liquors they could be worth anywhere from. 100 to 6 digit figures. I think you hit something really special. Congrats on your find !
@@WadesVentures HEALTH even comes before WEALTH❗❗❗Both r great but take great care of your health n even young healthy food helps keep you ALIVE❗Good luck. Your lady is BEAUTIFUL
1st time watching, loved this video, had to subscribe. What an amazing locker. So much value there. I've seen wine go bad in long term storage, but due to the unit being cool/cold and packaged appropriately with bottles on side or upside down, I think they are still good. Don't open! Get them evaluated so you can sell at top dollar. The crystal pieces are amazing and have an increased interest in decor. Especially the amber, pink, green, etc. As well as the unique pieces, which there is plenty of. So many treasures, good luck @ your auctions!
Yes the Alcohol is still good. Don't open. All that wine just paid for the unit and then some...WOW Great unit guys, all those Cassettes I still play mine. 😊❤
@@nanaphyl5142 They should sell it back to the family they have the name If Booths is their child it would be very kind to get it all back to them even if they pay what they paid for the bin or work something else out. Anyone able to get in touch with them?
Haven't seen yall in a while. Love watching y'all work together. You make a good couple and I love to see y'all do good. Keep up the good work I hope everything goes well for y'all.
Hey guys just started watching your channel - you've scored some unreal lockers. Love love love those gold and chrome lamps, wish I wasn't so far away, I would be getting a heaps of stuff off you guys. Although it would probly cost more than you payed for entire lockers to get the pair of lamps here. You could always come to Australia for a holiday, bring a few things with ya. Lol. Im envious of your job. Good luck to you both.
I love!!! the two cats!! Would buy if I had the means. But I have three live cats and two dogs and very limited money (I m 83) So bet another cat lover will be able and give them a sweet home. Love watching your finds. I can hear a cold coming in your voice, take care.
Im soooo happy for yous! With just the collection of alcohol its over 1000 bucks for sure! Its all a collectors collection. The iron birds have to have come from a gallery! Plz let us know what you find out? So far yous are doing great! 😊 you know i can see alot of these bowls etc are from a gallery
@@annejeanette27 Orrefors är ett stort glasbruk i Sverige. Dom har gjort väldigt många serier i kristall. Hade fel, det var inte snöboll utan hallon den serien heter 😊 I hope You can translate that. Hugs from Sweden. I have relatives in Portland, Oregon. Have been there twice. My grandmothers brother emigrate to Usa
@@anitanelsing5640 not a hope of translation, I'm English! I do know of some Swedish art glass makers though as I fell in love with some of their work. I have a Sven Palmquist dish and a glass owl paperweight by Skruf(?) Always on the lookout for more but not rich!

Hi wade your royal doulton cup and saucer is from the sweet lilacs collection , about $30 , it is collectable , the crystal from Taiwan is not lead Crystal it will be glass , look for made in Czechoslovakia , regards marilyn uk
Carl Evers, the print of the hurricane.....he was a well known painter. Yes, it's a print. But it is still valuable. Get help from an appraiser for all of this stuff.
The pink glass bowl in the chest is depression glass. Beautiful. Also, the dark colored tiny bowl with bubbles in the glass looks like Murano glass, from Italy. Great finds!
Holy crap, great finds!! Some liquors are so expensive they are sold by the glass, not just the bottle! Well done, but be careful not to open any of them! Don't break seals either!
Researched and found: Alexander Calder was known for his innovative sculptures, including hanging mobiles often featuring abstracted bird forms. One of his notable works from 1968 is “Gong” which features multiple black metal bird-like shapes connected by their wings.
Just a small mention... the vintage clothing, especially night gowns, that were in with all the vintage glassware and such, could also be worth very good money... do not over look it! :)
The sculptue struck me immediately. Remown sculptor, Curtis Jere, Mid Century Modern Brutalism, Likely "Birds In Flight". His stuff is pricey, possible a few grand and up. Let me know how you made out with it. Thanks.
18:33 First dibs on the cards!! 😂 27:14 🤯 oh man! If I could afford that, I’d bid forever! That is an absolutely stunning piece!!!! ❤ 29:17 “Some” guys clean their tools up after using them. They took really good care of them.
Hi Wade, tell Ashley hello for me and you both look very nice on here. I like how you find a nice stuff you know that bronze that you found the man and the Roman soldier racing. Have your watch Ben her at minds me of them horses running around
The large "modern-looking" painting is "The Capetians" (1954) by Georges Mathieu. The massive 3mx6m original hangs in the Pompidou Centre - National Museum of Modern Art in Paris. Some of the unsigned pictures shown beforehand look like travel souvenirs possibly picked up from local street artists. The wines are likely fine. We shipped a dozen cases from France in a shipping container when we moved back to Canada, then shipped it again across country a few years later and opened one of the last bottles 18 years later - still good. Reds age well. Whites are best drunk within a few years but can be fine for many years if stored in a cool dark place.
Please be sure to lay the alcohol on it's side or upside down so there is less separation and before u use it, it gets turned right side up and remixes.
They probably won't understand that as Wade said Black Velvet like it was the first time hearing that name! Lol But yes the way he was upending them and then righting them made me cringe !! They may be ruined by the time he gets them home
That antique saw was so thin, my first thought was it might be a *musical* saw, played by country or mountain folk, or possibly even vaudevillian performers back in the day! 😄😄
You have some beautiful art Glass there. That is someone’s tea cup collection. My Grandfather owned a glass house in Beaver falls, Pa. He had a lot of Fenton glass men that worked there. It was a co-op.
All those artist pieces, very valuable, and you get excited over a tool box full of tools. Amazing. I have a tray with inlayed wood like what you opened. From Hawaii. It has local woods including banyan and You should have a measure tape with so you can immediately say how big something is. The liquor is VERY VALUABLE. Pink depression glass. There are serious collectors for that out there. Hobnail candy dish.
One of those creepy cats as you called them from Freeman & Mcfarlin Pottery sold recently for $70 on ebay. I learned a long time ago that just because someone thinks something is ugly does not mean it does not have value.
