What’s your favorite game on Xbox one?

Still use my OG XB1 everyday. Installed a 1tb SSD and it’s loads faster and the UI is much snappier. It’s quieter and runs cooler too.

I managed to buy and fix a broken Xbox One really cheap, and I absolutely love it as a basic, dedicated Game Pass machine (I had Game Pass anyway). Also, a lot of 'broken' Xbox Ones are fairly easy to fix (either clearing out dust, cleaning some internal connections, or trying a different power brick) so it's sometimes worth a gamble at the right price.

Just picked up a one x for $100 two controllers still a great console

Still got my OG Xbox one hooked up , FC24 playing on it, playing Yakuza 4 and all the dead or alive games, 2,3,4,5,6. Still life in it.

I've had my OG Xbox One since Christmas 2014. The thing still runs amazing to this day. Only issue I have is, it tends to turn itself on randomly. Not for updates either. It just randomly turns on. I've just started unplugging it whenever I'm done. Other than that, it's still a great console. I rock it, and my Series X both. Both are awesome consoles

Getting all that for that price is quite a deal you got there! Even if you don’t game much online, Game Pass is still a great deal as many games support Xcloud streaming so you can try before you buy/download. This even includes Series X optimized titles being playable even on the 1540 model over said service. Correct me if I’m wrong, but you can still convert Xbox Live Gold time to Game Pass time, albeit I think at a 3:2 ratio when it used to be 1:1. Doing that, for $180 I got 3 years of Game Pass prepaid so I don’t need to renew until Christmas 2025. Many games get a discount if you’re a Game Pass member and if you are a member and use a physical disc, you’ll no longer need it if it’s on Game Pass or you own it digital. Every Gears of War game is on Game Pass! The HDMI in was originally used to control set-top cable/satellite boxes and home theater systems. With the Kinect especially, you could use voice commands to change channels, raise/lower volume, toggle other components on/off, etc. You used to be able to do picture-in-picture with whatever was on the HDMI in and play a game at the same time. Years ago, I would have the history channel in the upper right corner and play Ryse: Son of Rome at the same time. It still does support USB TV tuners to a degree, but a lot of functionality was discontinued with that and the Kinect in order to claw back resources to make games run better. The Kinect alone chewed up over 10% of the GPU resources back then. You won’t get the full advantages of it, but I’d still recommend putting an SSD internally to make the Interface more snappy and games load faster. Internally, it uses SATA II @ 3.0 Gbps. The USB 3.0 ports run faster than the internal SATA connection @ 5.0 Gbps, so that is an option if you want to run games off an external drive you’ll get better performance either way. The console is whisper quiet as they learned a lot of lessons with the Red Ring of Death debacle with the Xbox 360 and this console runs soooo quiet, more so I think than my One X before I put in an SSD. That being said, I hope you enjoy it!

I still have my Day One edition Xbox one and use it daily! It has been an amazing console and has always felt powerful throughout the years! Maybe I’ll upgrade to the next Xbox that comes out after the Series X/S

Waited in line for 6 hours for my Day One edition. I've babied it, and it hasn't let me down. Using it for destiny 2, Forza horizon 5, and game pass.

Just bought one for $80 and I plan on using it mostly for 360 and some xbox one exclusives since I mainly play on ps5, excited to get into the xbox ecosystem again for cheap

Interesting video. I recently was able to buy a boxed, original Xbox One with Kinect, two original, (good-working) controllers (2013 editions) and three games for a mere €75,00. Xbox is my main platform for nearly a decade now and I hope more people will finally see why it's such a good ecosystem to invest in and a wonderful place to play. I wouldn't mind coming across the original Xbox One model in white, though. I had one in the past but sold it for an Xbox One X back then. Kind of regretting it now since it's quite hard to find... Enjoy your Xbox One! There's so much cool stuff to play on it. I very much recommend Ryse: Son of Rome to start with. 😉

Found a battle scarred one of these on Vinted for £30. Stripped it and cleaned and repasted with Arctic 5 and upgraded the HDD, Grabbed a new hyperkin xbox 360 style controller for it. I cannot believe how silent this console is...currently playing Red dead 2 and you'd never know its actually powered on lol. Feels great with a 360 pad again, xbone controllers were a white elephant.

I use it as a second console in my living room on occasion. If you don’t mind longer loading times, it’s not bad. Plus, as you mentioned, very cheap games.

I've been thinking of picking up one, never owned a console growing up so I missed out on some great games. I have a gaming pc now but I also want a console to play single player games, I honestly don't find myself wanting to buy the newer models as they sell for quite expensive retail price and as you said the games for this console are pretty cheap.

I bought a xb1 so I could play the old 360 call of duties. Also got a xbox one s for free as it wasn't working. Fitted a new hdmi retimer chip and it's working great.

Xbox one was great because it had a nice OS, backwards compatibility, and great third party games. Only downside for me was not having access to Japanese games that only came out on PS4.

While the Xbox One has it's issues, you cannot deny how crazy the value is with it, especially with how cheap they are used! I recently did the opposite and got a PS4 so I could catch up on exclusives, although I'm surprised how many of it's best games have been ported to PC now.

I bought just the xbox with leads apparently “for parts or not working” but description says repasted and cleaned. Boots to dashboard but can’t test because of no controller I have spare controllers so I’m excited to get it I also have a xbox series s so I can’t play physical games so I hope this works…

I just got mine, and I like it a lot. I got some Arcade Collections for 360, however some games cannot be installed because they are delisted, so this is something people have to consider when getting these type of Xbox 360 game collections (e.g. Capcom Digital Collection, which you can install only 4 out of the 8 games included). Halo Infinite on the OG Xbox One is pretty rough honestly. It might be better on the One S, but on the base OG Xbox One its usually sub 30fps. Playing Halo Infinite at 22-26fps is not pleasant. It's much better on the Xbox One X with performance mode.

I kind of want to buy an og if i find a very good deal, otherwise ill grab another One X. I put a SSD in my old One X, I would throw an old one in a OG. Local media is king.

Think of it as a 360 with a more stable frame rate and you will be more please.

Still a good console, specially for the money. But the S model is the way to go. Can be found for 10-15bucks more and is better overall, tiny bit faster and a lot less clunky.

Xbox one X is literally £100 most of the time and roughly 4.5x more GPU power 1tb SSD are extremely cheap now a days you definitely should of gotten one X instead.

Halo infinite plays fine on Xbox one

Xbox One in 2023/24 is pointless when everything is forward compatible with the Series consoles. There are zero benefits to playing on that platform anymore. It’s not like it was years ago when a console had its exclusives that could only played on that console. Times of changed. Even a PS4 is pointless when you can do it all on the PS5 Including current generation.
