All I can imagine is that when the person who looks at the orders at the pizza place sees an order from Japan, they must have the thought it was prank or something😂😂

The part that makes me wonder more is not why the Wii is set to America. But that there are STILL Restaurants like Dominoes where you can order a pizza via a Wii!

im joey's age but from india so consoles were only for super rich people. As Nintendo was not officially sold here so the consoles had no warranty in india and only rich people could afford it for their kids. My parents did not even get me any toys. so i learnt about what nintendo, xbox and playstation really were after 2020 because i joined a company that sold second hand consoles in UK.

Not exactly the same thing, but in 2005 Everquest had the /pizza command that would open a web browser to the delivery page for Pizza Hut.

As Michael mjd said in his Wii pizza video, the food channel does not work in Japan. He also specifically said that if you want to order real food, you need the English translation version, not the Japanese version. Wiilink unfortunately is not able to restore the food channel service in Japan. The food channel from wiilink is only available in US and Canada for Domino's pizza, and selected countries in Europe for deleveroo. So what you did was get the Japanese version of the food channel and got the fake ordering download of the channel. That's why the food never arrived.

Ooh Joey talking about the sensor bar let's me bring up my favorite Wii fact! The sensor bar does nothing! Yeah basically it's just emitting an infrared signal that the controller is picking up, then the controller Bluetooths that information too the console which translates it into cursors position on screen. Secondary fun fact, you can achieve the exact same effect with a candle instead of the bar.
