i bought the princess & the pauper my size barbie 

I’m more upset about the Erika wig because Erika was the one who wore the ANALISE wig in the movie.

I remember watching the ads for these on a Barbie DVD constantly and thinking it was so cool! I always wondered how the dress would feel, I wanted to look just as fancy and them. Looking back at the commercial, it's directed it so the camera rarely sees the back of the "dress" so you can't easily tell it's just an apron.

I remember my parents buying me a life size Barbie for me when I was a kid for Christmas one year and I loved it but we had to get rid of it because at night it looked like a person in my room and it scared me 😂

i was given a my size barbie as a christmas gift when i was around 7 or 8 and i was TERRIFIED of it. i had vivid nightmares of that doll chasing me. safe to say i only had it in my house for a day and then begged my grandma to keep it in her house. 12 years later and it’s still with her and she’s just as terrifying as before.

For $118 dollars this doll is definitely a rip off. I dont think we had my size barbies in the uk or if they did they weren’t sold in any of the main toyshops in my city (and I live in one of the big ones) because this is the first I’ve ever heard of them.

I did not have this doll, but I did have the whole Princess and the Pauper collection, dolls, castle etc. I literally remember checking for Anneliese's crown birthmark and being legitimately upset that they did not put it on her 🤣 Definitely my favorite Barbie movie and doll set when I was a kid 😊

When I was a child, at the carnival at the kindergarten, a girl appeared with Odette's dress and it was the My Size doll's dress. I remember that I was delighted, because in addition to being my favorite Barbie, it looked so good on my colleague. This one (Anneliese and Erika), I had no idea it would be so... heh... I have no words for this Erika apron xD

For sooooo long I have wanted this freaking doll ever since the very first time when I saw it's commercial a thousand years ago in my Princess and the Pauper DVD. So nostalgic man. These my size Barbie Dolls where such an iconic and pivotal time in Barbie history and I so wish they bring these dolls back. Like imagine getting a my size Barbie Extra doll?!?!?! Overall thank you so much for this fabulous review Caitlyn. This really filled me up with so much nostalgia so thank you for that. P.S. They clearly thought things through when decided to give this Barbie doll a very cheap lace front from Party City. Also you when you can you should totally do a review on the talking Serafina cat plush next. She would fit perfectly well with your my size Annalise doll. 😂👍❤️

You should comission a doll repainter like Hextian or Dollightful to remake the dress and face! Honestly that would be a great video

I had a life-sized Barbie who was just a generic princess, and I was OBSESSED!!! I played dress up and makeup with her all the time, and she can with the swirling stand where I could dance with her. I truly regret getting rid of her at a yard sale when I thought I had “outgrown” her as like a 5th grader.

9:39 That's a really good point. It's one thing for a kid to be able to tie shoelaces on their feet where they can see them, but it's another to expect a 5-year-old to be able to tie a thin ribbon behind the back of their neck.

As a child, we would buy cheap dolls because the mattel, Disney and Hasbro ones were too expensive. We rarely got the expensive ones no matter how much we wanted them. When I have money, the first doll I'll buy is the pearl princess doll because when Ive always wanted it. It was about 1,000 INR at that time, so.....yeah

I had a rapunzel and the quality wasn’t there but I was obsessed I more used her as an imaginary friend instead of a doll

Oh my god I had this doll growing up but I have absolutely no memory of the transformation outfit. I also would get very upset that she flashed me every time I played with her lol. I usually just used her to dress her up in my clothes

I bought one at a yard sale when I was a bit old for them, but man they were even too short when my little sister came along, haha. And Barbie's way too tiny to wear anything. Wasn't really possible to play with it, either.

Going into this I was most worried about the dress being fitted in a way that a lot of kids wouldn't be able to fit into. Of course there would be tons of kids who would want this that weren't exactly Barbie's size. So I guess the apron and elastic are good work arounds. But still, you'd think they could just do elastic straps like on the back of hats or something to adjust size instead of faking kids out with an apron. At least Analise's hair looks like good quality. Thick and shiny and all that.

I had a My Size Barbie growing up. I don’t remember how it ended up in my possession-I did not ask for it though I grew up loving the Barbie movies. She quickly became the victim to my hair and makeup experiments then lived out the remainder of her days under my bed, scaring my friends at sleepovers lol

I have an angel my size Barbie that I got for my 3rd birthday! I always kinda wanted this one too, but honestly I'm glad I didn't get her ever! Even as a little kid I would've been disappointed with the apron. The angel one came with a WHOLE second dress!

I had the Nutcracker my size Barbie and let me tell you… I did not fit in those clothes, and I wasn’t a particular big child. I didn’t really play with her either, because she was really hard for me to move around. She sat on a chair in my room staring at me always. My little cousin found her one day and she did not like her, at all. And to be honest, she really was kind of creepy. EDIT: also, the dress was two part as well, I assumed it was because of the ballet aspect, you know, like the body and the tutu are separate pieces of clothing in ballet. It is weird that this doll has the same clothing structure.

I still have the doll today but unfortunately my mom misplaced her dress before moving to our current house and we lost one the slippers so she is currently in my closet with one slipper and wearing a dress that is too big on her. 😢

There’s photos of me with this thing that’s so much larger than I am 🤣 for sure must have been a gift from my grandma (rest in peace Buelita 💗) and yeah, I loved to carry her around despite her being larger than my toddler self lol. I had my size barbies that i got for $10 at goodwill. they had the rattiest hair and didn't come with clothes so I put them in my clothes which were super baggy on them. they kind of smelled after sitting in my closet for so long so I had to wash them every time I wanted to play with them. which wasn't very often... fun video! i had no idea the one I had was annaliese until I saw this video.

I had a my size Barbie, I don’t remember asking for one. but I played with her a few times until she was no longer “my size.” I remember when I was moving out of my childhood house and had to revamp my old Barbie’s to sell and donate. The my size Barbie’s hair was a rats nest! Absolutely awful I watched so many videos on trying to fix the hair and it still looked bad. I wish she was of better quality. She looked so cheap. I had a Disney Rapunzel doll like this and she was very durable. The dress was actual fabric too. It might've been made by Mattel. I can't remember. Wish Anneliese/Erika was nicer. And for over 100 dollars, that was a ripoff. The apron should have been a dress and the doll should have been brunette because it is Erika who wore the wig, not Anneliese.
