Hole in box side is for camper special deluxe tie downs . Will be more brackets an shocks in front of box floor . If factory there were brackets for in front of side vent window . Then a shock that would go up to the camper . Rare option .
My father had a 76 crew cab dually. He loved it. The old big block was really underpowered so we pulled it and added a bigger crank some I beams along with some new pistons and warmed over 781 heads. Th400 and a gear vendor overdrive. It was a blast to drive. 6 months ago he traded it in toward a late model Tacoma and the dealer gave him nothing for it. He likes the tacoma but it's not the same as the square. I really miss that truck. I like your dually. Very clean!!!
Nice ride mang. My 85’ 4x4 crew cab dually barn find was given to me by a plumbing customer of mine. Actually an incredible story to say the least and is a true uni under 100k miles. One of only a few in the nation. She is almost restored. My channel will be up soon to show all. Shout out to all the crew cab dually 2 wheels and 4 keep truckin square buddies. Can’t wait to see yours done mang.
I need to start recording my adventures. I just flew 12 1/2 hours from Iowa to Dodge City, KS (two layovers, sucky place to try to fly to from here). I had 527 miles to drive home in a sight unseen 1993 454 crew/dually. Squares and OBS's are so much fun! Enjoy yours!
I had a 85 Silverado 4dr camp. Special with a sleeper behind the cab big block 454 with ceramic coated headers white w blue int. How I loved that truck stainless wheel covers blue lights all around the back of the truck and on the back side of the sleeper too. I deeply regret selling it. However, 15 plus yes later my wife found another 4dr dually w the 454 this one I have now is an 88 square body gmc Sierra classic black w red int. I just put 2 4inch chrome stacks in the corners of the box just behind the cab turned halfway back and half way sideways out. I love the old square body gm pickup trucks Those new trucks are so ugly all plastic crap all computerized electronic crap and there way too expensive and they ain't worth even half of what they cost and I don't need a truck with cameras on the back to match up to my trailer either I drove semis for over 40yrs. Anyway, Enjoy what you have and don't give it up or you will regret it very much. Yea I got another one but I still miss my old dually. HAVE FUN WITH YOURS ENJOY IT THEY ARE A WONDERFUL DRIVING TRUCK.
Nice C30. Purchased a 91 dually about 6 months ago. Last year of the Square Dually. Starting the fun stuff (lowered suspension, interior, etc). Can't wait to see the progress on yours
Nice truck. Sounds like an old 454 truck. Mine sounds the same. Mine has throttle body injection. My truck has a blackwidow muffler and it's about the same as a glass pack.
Those generation Chevy & GMC crew cab pickups are very rare nowadays, but the regular cab ones that same generation like that orange C20 on the other hand I still see out on the roads today.
Bro thats awesome. I have a 81 c30 4 door white just like that! Mine has the visor still and rust free. Doing ls swap on it. Its kool thats how i original how i found you
Yo that is a cool crew cab and it's clean. To bad it is not a 4x4 , now that's is worth putting in a car show, there is one every labor day weekend at alamosa, called early iron.
I have the 1975 chevy Silverado c30 1 ton dually. It has the electric fuel transfer valve. I'm suprised that yours has a manual valve which came on the earlier models.
Nice little truck. I have 2 squares one 81 Scottsdale K20 with a turbocharged 454 I'm about finished with and an 85 suburban C30 with a triple turbo compound sbc I'll be getting back together after the Scottsdale. They're on my channel if you're interested.
Since I'm sitting here waiting on my girl I did some google-fu on those wheels. They MIGHT be MHT D500's or 501's, those are the solid inners you get with their 20" dually wheels. Jeg's has them, but you'll have to work out what width and back space / offset you need.
@@JovaniDanteGriego I like your truck, I have an 88 R30 in the same colors. Are you running all six 20' wheels, or does it have the stock dually steel inners on the rear?
Sweet wheels!! I've looked online and can't seem to find these wheels. I was able to locate the MHT D501, but can only find the inner dually rim, not the rear outer one. Any idea what these are called or where I can find a set?
I can't find the info on the rears tbh I'm pretty sure the fronts are actually inner dually wheels but I haven't been able to find them available anymore
Whew by title I thought he going to announce he purchased the green grass monkey garage square body that someone else thought was worth a fortune. I had a 79 dually 454 automatic and I'd much rather have a LS and save fuel.
Your crazy an LS doesn't have nearly the torque of a big block and BBs are more reliable I've had both and SB just don't cut it you have to spend a lot of money to get a SB to have the power that a BB natural puts out not even any of those overated LSis either BB is the ideal in a big vehicle I know I've been around a lot of SBs there ideal for hot rod cars but not for large vehicles.
@@bigddog724 a 12:1 502 isn't an OEM 454 anymore. Compression helps mpg btw. And many times added cubes via stroke will too. A decently built modern 454 that's built with mileage in mind could easily pull 17-18. Probably 20-22. Especially with a 6 speed and fuel injection. Depends on the whole setup though. That 14 number was for a stone stock big 10 short wheelbase truck. I can assure you that number could be raised quite easily.
@@JovaniDanteGriego no worries my man she’s a beauty! And I’ve been looking specifically for a c30 crew cab dually so I’m gonna pass on the c20. Thanks for the reply!
