Hello friends! Subnautica 2.0 is here and that means modding is dead right? Well not quite! As I'll demonstrate in this video - you can still mod the game, you just have to use the BepInEx tool now. Naturally, that won't stop me from absolutely breaking this beautiful world!

@@TheLastBacon there was this one mod, well it was a program. it allowed you to create custom terrain, but there was no way to spawn resources and fauna in the custom terrain. I hope its remade for 2.0 and supports spawns

It took a few days for me to understand that the mods now have to be placed in 'BepInex > plugins', instead of the 'Qmods' folder, and it's great to see you teaching how to do it. Well done mate.

I had a bit of an issue with the solid terrain mod where it caused closer terrain not to render properly, so it was rendering collision farther away at the expense of the closer terrain, especially the holes/caverns in the shallows. Of course, I'm also a bit dumb and may not have messed with the settings appropriately. Just pointing this out in case someone else has the same issue. It went back to normal after deleting the plugin.

Imagine if this was the new dead zone: the music, ambience and sound all stop, the PDA message says “…” the sky darkens greatly into total darkness and silence and the last you see is a creature significantly larger than even the gargantuan leviathan slowly swimming towards you. What would you do in this situation?

I managed to have Qmod running successfully on 2.0 by frankensteining some versions together with Bepinex also going, had to use the Below Zero versions of some mods but it worked and kept all mods my mods running until the Bepinex versions came our.

@@bickflick The Jukebox and speakers, the multitudes of decorative items (posters, items, plushies), the recylatron, 5 cost Ti Ingot, quantum locker, prawn suit forward Thrust, Water recycling suit, some, most or all of the BZ fauna/flora ported to the first, the control room, mineral detector. That's most of what I can think of. Point is, the first game is so old and still has so many people who love it. They should port of over most of BZ to revitalize the first one, it'd make it so fun to play again. I tried playing again with just the new large room and other few things they added but it's just not fun

I am waiting for a BepInEx version of the mod where, when you scan something you already have the blueprint of, you get something that makes up the item you scanned, instead of just titanium. I may wait for the Enhanced Stillsuit mod, too. Most of the mods I need have already been moved over (Snapbuilder, Better ACU, Tweaks and Fixes, etc.).

I know Subnautica Randomiser Remade has that as an option. If you only want that one feature from the mod, you can just disable the other things. You can even adjust what the max of that random resource you should get should be in the advanced settings file. Not sure it is a resource the item is fabricated from, will see if I find out from the author. Currently it is raw resources you can normally find at 50m or shallower. I think I’ve convinced him to adjust them to by what depth you can reach

I DONT KNOW IF YOU'RE GOING TO SEE THIS BUT SOMETHING REALLY CREEPY HAPPENED TO ME IN BELOW ZERO, I WAS JUST PLAYIN MY GAME IN CREATIVE MODE NORMALLY I HAD LEFT THE FIRST BASE I MADE TO EXPLORE ( I CLOSED THE LIGHTS OF IT ) I BULT ANOTHER BASE, WHEN I CAME TO CHECK THE OLD BASE BACK THERE WAS ONLY THE REACTORS SOUND AND THE THE WATER FILTRATION MACHINE JUST POPPED OUT A REPAIRING PARTICLE + REPAIRING SOUND ( THERE WAS NOTHING FRONT OF IT ) THIS JUST HAPPENED TO ME MINUTES AGO AND I DONT THINK ILL PLAY THE GAME EVER AGAIN

to fix 2.0 mods i recomend using Moding api i have win 11 and it didnt work so if you have win 10 and want to keep most of your mods go check them out

R.I.P QModManager 😢 This is basically the same thing for My Summer Cars second and last Mod Loader. MSCModLoader Pro isn’t being supported by its creator anymore and only 1 mod still requires it. That is Grandmas pick up trucks mod. Some mods still work with Pro, however when they update the game, it also makes it so that it won’t work with Pro anymore. R.I.P QModManager and MSCModLoaderPro

BepInEx is super cool. I love it. It helps a lot with TABS mods as well :D Mods are most definitely the best part of any game. I just got Ravenfield and it sucks... but holy crud the mods make it actually super cool. Mods are the best way to add replayability

lol that mod where all the commands are in the menu is built in on console as a secret developer menu >:) (you activate it by pressing the two bumpers(idk what they are called on ps)at the same time while in the menu)
